THE UNDEAD DAY 21
More tense fighting of the undead. The battle scenes are descriptive from beginning to end. A village setting or in a seaside resort. Blood flies as the zombies die in all ways imaginable! The characters have grown in such ways that each one is just as important to the story as any other would be. I noticed that the series is 22 books, knowing that I hope that the next one is not the entire set. For such a great series to end in a single book, even being nice long reads, I'm hoping the 22nd isn't the end.

very good book, will make you laugh and cry.
This is an excellent book and a great series, not your usual zombie book. The strength of the book is based on the dynamic development of the characters and what they mean to each other. You laugh you cry, the book has plenty of action sequences and a very sad ending. Simon should tell the team what he knows, it would boost the morale of the team. Can’t say anything was wrong with this book but one thing you learn is the most dangerous enemy is man. Like I said great series great book read it.

A real struggle
Since Day 20 I took a break from reading Richards series, I came back because I used to love it. Unfortunately there is elements in his newer books I am sorry to say what I find no easy way to put this annoying and I have to stop put the book down. It’s the second book in a row I could not finish.
His choice in new character generation is puzzling because that was one of his best writing strengths.
He is one of the best zombie apocalypse writers out there, it’s just no longer for me sorry.

I don't mind Gregori's POV but it tends to frustrate me because he constantly has to repeat himself when speaking to the Boy and then when he discovered a woman tied up in a house, she constantly questioned him.
The Boy made me curious. Zombies don't try to kill him, he can control them, I think he can read their minds and he has dreams about Howie and his team. I have a feeling he is connected to The Infection, and not in a good way.
The pacing was a little slow for me. I found myself looking forward to reading about Howie, rather than Gregori, Cass and the Boy.
The mystery POV intrigued me. I wanted to know who the group were and why they were searching for Howie.
I'm glad Maddox had the opportunity to redeem himself. He really does fit in the group well but he doesn't want to admit it.
The ending was quite emotional. Howie and his team have lost so many people throughout this series but this was the first time they actually had the opportunity to bury one of their own. It was sad and while happy memories were shared, ultimately, it was full of grief.

Day 21: Cassie, the Pirate and the Base.
The first third or so follows a new character, Cassie. She may be the only character I have truly disliked in this series right away. Maybe you’re supposed to? I wasn’t a fan of her storyline at all.
The rest of the book followed Howie’s crew. I laughed out loud, but I also shed real tears of sadness and emotion. I have such a fondness of every one of those characters.
Have to give a huge shoutout to the narrator. There are so many characters in this series and he does a fantastic job of giving each of them their own voice. He took over this series after most of the main characters had been established by another narrator and he managed to keep the sounds of the voices basically the same.

I took a break from the Undead series, since it’s still incomplete, and I didn’t want to burn through the books too quickly. The fact that it’s been seven months and I’ve still got enough interest to come back really is a testament to the world and characters Haywood has created.
The ever-changing plot and constant developments keep things interesting, combined with these loveably flawed characters, is a powerful combination.
I found the first third of the book, which follows ‘The Boy’ storyline, a bit slower—but definitely less frustrating than similar parts in earlier books. The rest of the story picked up nicely, with a faster pace and a lot more emotional weight.
The ever-changing plot and constant developments keep things interesting, combined with these loveably flawed characters, is a powerful combination.

Good god, that was suspenseful!
I think I nearly had a heart attack reading this one!!! I think I was reading faster than the speed of light trying to ....well I can't say for spoiler reasons but I needed to know what was going to be resolved and couldn't bear to think what wouldn't be! I don't like how much further Marcie went after she'd done the important bit 😉 I did not agree with her reasoning. Those peeps were just scared and maybe Marcie needs to study Howie's philosophy about doing the right thing.
I hate that kid by the way...!

Brilliant!
I've been waiting for this book for so long and it didn't disappoint! Not to give too many spoilers but day 21 brings a real twist, some truly barbaric human behaviour and one devastating death. I'm intrigued by the character 'boy' too, whose storyline has really begun to develop. I read it in a day, I tried putting it down, to make it last, but failed! When's day 22 out, I can't wait!

Pure brilliance!!
Yet another amazing day in The undead series. So much action packed into one book. Great characters that have started to feel like real life friends. This series has it all, zombies, blood, guts, love and laughs. Leaves you with lots to think about, roll on day 22.

The best there is
So good. Really, I'm wrung out! Every emotion, one after the other. Characters you care about, full of depth, humour, decency, flaws. And all the nail-biting action you could wish for. The books get better and better, they suck you in, wring you dry, and spit you back out. Love it!

Another great read.
Trying to spread the word as fast as the disease is spreading, so great to find an English author writing such great books, funny, violent heart warming and leaves you wanting more, if you haven't read them, stop mucking about and read em, to Mr Haywood for what you've done to Blinky, fist me.

Probably the darkest tone of all the books to date, with such an undercurrent of violence and the darkness of mankind. There are some incredibly sad moments but also some instances of incredible emotion and feeling. Tears were shed. I simply couldn't read this book quick enough and having devoured it, I'm already thinking of reading the next instalment. Complete and utterly amazing.

That was emotional! I never saw that one coming..and It’s hard to keep track of all the characters! I thought it would be the showdown with “boy” maybe or..that while all the bad stuff was happening that there wouldn’t be a good ending.. while it was sad it was a good ending and ow have to race off to book 22.

I was very glad to see another day of this series available to read. I'm not typically a Horror fan but I love this series. The characters are so unique and the author makes me want to love or hate all of them.

Breathtaking
I'm not afraid to say I cried at reading this as it's so emotional after following the group for so long you become attached to them and I went between anger ,sorrow,not and so many other emotions now for day 22!

Another amazing book about Mr. Howie, Dave and team on their mission to wipe out the undead. There are times when I laughed and times when I cried reading this book, it is a rollercoaster of emotions.

Excellent Series
I'm loving the series. Some days not as good as others but still good. Day Twenty One was busy for all the characters. There was a lot going on but I can't say because don't want to spoil it for others. I'm still reading, so that says it all.

Slower than normal start, but epic finish.
I kind of struggled to get into the first half of this book which was unusual, but the second half I couldn't put the book down at the shocking development and emotional ending.
Can't wait to start Day Twenty Two!

Still a really good story, the additional side characters are starting to feel less torturous but I am left hoping they just get forgotten in the next book.
