Brody was the second book in the Callaghan Mafia series by Savannah Rylan. The series was to be read in order.
I’ve taken a break from formal reviews for a while, but a couple quick thoughts: Brody was the second oldest Callaghan sibling and the muscle. He became the self appointed protector to Abby, his step sister, after her father (his adoptive/step father) died. I liked both but had a hard time with their connection beyond sex. The main storyline was the suspenseful plot on who killed Richard Callaghan. It began in book one and will continue throughout the series, most likely with the conclusion in the final book. I loved the suspense and intrigue. What I struggled with was that we didn’t get much additional information and the family appeared weak, like the joke of the Chicago Irish mafia. I’m hoping we get more information in the next book and we see more of their strength, leadership and ruthlessness like we did in the first book.

Anna is vapid, useless, shallow, pretentious, loathsome, arrogant, entitled...the list just goes on. Not one redeeming quality about her. ME ME ME ME ME is all she talks about. How she was passed over for the head job for a "boy" who happens to be older than her. I loved how she discredited the "boys" because they were gasp...adopted and not worthy of her. Brody rescues her, paying $500,000 and she lies to him and continues to deceive him. She deserved to be abducted, beaten and should have been killed for not having loyalty to her fathers family, even if she refuses to acknowledge them as her family. She wants money so bad, look at what she could have done with the half a mil paid for her ransom because she is a loathsome individual who flirted with a man and made a deal with him to screw over her "family" at her fathers funeral of all places....that just screams CLASSY!
She complains about how her father didn't come visit her when she wanted him to....is she incapable of flying? Is she so entitled that he had to come to her? He did have an empire to run. An empire that supported her lifestyle.
Now its Declan's fault that Richard named him his successor. That same "boy" who has been running the Ireland division of the business, while Anna is sunning herself in Switzerland, living off the work of the men of the family. Amazing that she thinks she should have been named the successor when she wouldn't even lower herself to come and visit Chicago.
If I didn't enjoy the first book, and Brody I would DNF this book now. I'm only a few chapters in and cannot stand Anna. Characters written like this are not enjoyable and do not make for a pleasurable reading experience.

I laughed out loud when Liam visited her in the hotel & knew everything that was going on.
Laughed out loud again when she was abducted again. Especially after she was so rude to her security guard. Laughed yet again when she said, this is why Daddy didn't leave me the business. The vapid princess is getting it.
Fiona is an enigma. For all the build up, I will be so disappointed if she isn't complicit in Richards death. Now she's moving in with Martin? Tried to pay off Ciara, even though Declan cared for her. Fiona at least keeps the story interesting.

WOW!!! Brody book 2 of the Callaghan Mafia by Savannah Rylan continues where Declan and Ciara left off as this story will have you on edge with all of the twists and turns. The interaction and chemistry between Brody and Abby when they first meet at RIchard's funeral is explosive and sensual. Now we are faced with more questions than answers regarding Richard's death. Abby with all of the resentment she has against the brothers and Fiona, she finds she will make an alliance with Liam that will not bode well for her. Now Brody will do all he can to protect Abby as he saves her and keeps her hidden from his family. The passion between these two is hot and steamy as Brody brings out a side of Abby that has her craving him each time they are together. But Brody is not aware of Abby's role in all of this but when he is ready to confront her, once again Abby is in danger. When Brody and his brothers figure out the plot, they rescue Abby and she finally confesses her love to Brody as well as her reasoning for her actions. Brody soon comes to terms that he loves this woman and will do all he can to make her is own. Brody and Abby are true soulmates, as Abby has finally found someone to love her as she is embraced into the family that she so desperately wanted to be apart of. So many questions surround this story as to who really killed Richard? We are still left wondering what role the McGuire and Daly families are involved in to ruin this family. What is Fiona hiding and who is she really working with? And now that Fiona and Martin have shown their hand, what will Declan, Brody, Gael and Flynn do to end this threat and will Abby still be in danger? This story is filled with so much angst, suspense and danger that we have to wait for the next book to find out how this is all going to play out. This was a thrilling, suspenseful and passionate romance story about Brody and Abby which is a must read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second book in the Callaghan Mafia series. This book picks up with the funeral of the adoptive father of the Callaghan brothers. Declan is now the head of the crime family and with the help of his brothers Brody, Flynn and Gael, they are trying to find who murdered their father. Abby is their father's biological daughter, but she grew up at boarding school so she would be safe from the crime families. Abby has returned for the funeral and only wants to get her trust find so she can return to Switzerland. Abby decides to ask for help from the son of another crime boss and soon things get out of hand. Brody realizes Abby is missing and when he gets a call asking for money for her safe return, he goes to get her. Brody wants to take care fo Abby, even though he is very attracted to her, he can control himself. When Abby tells him she wants him, all of Brody's control snaps and he can't help taking her. Brody asks Abby to stay with him until he can investigate things and he tells her he will support her, as long as she submits to him. I loved this book. It is hot and steamy and i loved Brody. He was so dominate and caring. I think Brody was soft toward Abby in ways he never was before. Abby was feeling rejected and felt like she didn't matter. This series is getting better and better. There are so many questions and i wonder who is really responsible for Richard's death. I can't wait to read more.

Abby is totally lost when she comes home for her father's funeral and makes a deal with Liam to help her get her money. Unfortunately for her, he is the last person she should trust. As Brody steps in to save her and then protect her, things between them heat up as they discover a connection that is hot and sexy. While falling in love, there is so many things going on around them with all the betrayals and lies, that to keep Abby safe, Brody needs to alert the family for help. Their story is filled with hot sexy romance, suspense, danger, and family connections, making it hard to put down until the last page is read. While the Callaghan stories are connected, each story can stand alone, but why miss out on some great reading. **I was gifted "Brody" and leave my review voluntarily based on my reading** 4.5 Stars!

Abby is back in Chicago for her father funeral but after being gone for so long it becomes apparent that she doesn’t fit in anywhere. She only wants one thing and that is to claim the inheritance her father promised her but how can she trust anyone to help her get her money.
Brody is the muscles of the family and takes it upon himself to protect Abby when she arrives for their father’s funeral. What he doesn’t expect is how beautiful she is and how there is something about her that brings out the protective beast in him.
This story had me gripped from beginning to end and it is not finished by a long shot. With more secrets, lies and conspiracy’s revealed will the Callahan’s ever find out what happens to their father?
I recommend reading Declan before this one as it starts where that story left off.

This is taking place after Richard was killed. The four Callaghan brothers come back for the funeral and support their mother. But at the funeral Abby, Richards only biological child, returns from boarding school in Europe where she was sent as a child. She sees her stepmother and stepbrothers and feels that she doesn’t belong or wanted there. At the house after the funeral it’s the same. She wants to get on with her life but wants her inheritance so that she can. Brody sees her and thinks that she needs protecting as her father was killed. But Abby goes to a person that she thought she could trust and it’s a hugh mistake as sets all kinds of danger and makes it so that Abby can’t be trusted. With her stepmother looking like she’s up to something who can Abby trust? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

The saga continues with the funeral of head of family Richard Callaghan. Abby is Richard's biological daughter, she returns to Chicago having spent most of her life in Switzerland , safe from the drama that follows a mafia family. Abby feels excluded by the family and all she wants is the money her father had promised her but kept from her after his remarried. When plans for getting the money go wrong she finds a new hero in Brody. Brody cannot explain his attraction to Abby, he knows the family would to approve but his protective nature makes his deception easy to justify. Old drama returns and the family have to work together as they try find answers and Fiona drops another bomb. Loved the book and cannot see what happens in the next book.

The saga continues with Abby returning from Switzerland to attend her father Richard’s funeral. Feeling alone and left out by the family she strikes a deal with Liam to help her get the money she is owed. Brody realizes Abby’s vulnerability and offers his protection which she gladly accepts.
The sex doesn’t get much hotter. The kidnapping is brutal. The admission, the tension and betrayal make for a great read.
You have unlikely partnerships, twists and turns, and a fire to keep the reader fully engaged. The writing is awesome. Read the book. I think you will enjoy it. Eagerly waiting for book three.

Now that Abby has been kidnapped, is her father's death going to be looked into? Because of course that is now cause for alarm that he was found dead, will the group look into his death?
Abby is a wreck after Brody gets to her. Of course he rescued her! Now, they are tangled up with each other whether they wanted to be or not. Abby & Brody are a hot commodity.

This is Savannah Rylan's Second Part of Series about Brody. He is another one of the Callaghan brothers, but he is the serious one and takes things very seriously and doesn't take and crap. But does he take things too far when it comes to his family and the things he loves... When Abby comes home for Richard's funeral Brody sees a woman that needs him and he needs her very much as well, but what does that mean for them? Will Brody be able to protect Abby and continue to work for the family or what will happen next? This book was absolutely worth reading and I am excited for the next part of this series. This book has it all plots, love, hate, lust and a alpha male who gets what he wants. I voluntarily received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.

This book deserves 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥stars. I don’t know where Savannah Rylan gets her inspiration for her stories, but I hope it keeps flowing. Brody and Abby’s relationship may be a little, ok a lot taboo but to each his own. This Callaghan series is getting hotter by the minute and I’m not just talking ‘family’ rivalries!!! Literally, you will definitely be binge reading this one...it’s 4 AM if that tells you anything lol!! Bring on the next book because something is about to hit the fan...

“Brody” is an entertaining Mafia romance. Savannah is a fantastic storyteller who never lets me down. This book has the required passion, suspense, danger, intrigue and romance. It is an intense, riveting read. I did not like Fiona's actions in the beginning. She upset me so much I had to take a break from the story. Any time an author can evoke such emotion you know she/he is an amazing writer. I gave four stars to this story instead of five because of Fiona. I still definitely recommend this book.

Another entertaining read by Savannah Rylan who once again delivers a suspense filled thriller with strong characters in Abby and Brody. The chemistry is hot, the story is gripping and filled with danger,drama and twists and turns. I was captured and held fast to the pages from start to finish. It's well written,moves fluidly and I loved reading. Highly recommend this book/series.

This is the second book in The Callaghan Mafia series, they are best read in order because they are about some serious hunky brothers, so seriously, the books are incredibly well-written and entertaining with fast-paced storylines. The characters are incredibly likable and relatable, well developed with their own personalities which shine through. Loving this series, Savannah Rylan hasn't disappointed with this book or the series.

OMG!! I can't believe it got so out of hand but I think its safe 2 day there's 2 families suspected plus a BIG bonus one that was suspected but was in a small denial... When a person is cut off from everything and everyone it gets 2 that person after a while and it's finally good 2 feel like I might have a chance 2 have a real future with others close instead of being alienated from all. I can't wait 4 more asap!!

Okay the story is good but , really drag a story out like this is crap. Brody is a good man, I just don't see why they aren't taking care of their enemies out faster. Liam needs to go. Martin needs to go. Fiona needs to go. Abby I don't blame her for being upset. I just wish she would have talked to the brothers first. Okay more errors in this book also. The blurb has it with Brody and Fiona instead of Brody and Abby. Bad. Thank you.

ARC review For honest review. Abby Callaghan was in Switzerland for 16 yrs in hiding when her father Richard Callaghan is murdered. Now back and the adopt son brody, gael, Flynn and now head Declan are running the business in Chicago . She wants to know her place and Brody says She is his. This book was a very entertaining blend of suspenseful, emotional and hotness. Abby and Brody's romance is quite intense, exciting and a bit forbidden. Danger, drama, mystery and twists will have you dancing on the edge as this story unfolds. I need the next book now! I am posting a independent, impartial review.

The author continues to keep us captivated by this family. As the brothers keep looking for the person responsible for Richard's death, Brody makes it his personal mission to make sure Abby is kept safe. Many twists and turns keep you turning the pages.

I really enjoyed this book and glad to review this for the author.
I didn`t find any spelling mistakes or any holes in the plots.
All the characters worked well together and I could really connect with them as well.
I will be reading more books by this author in the future.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.

Picks up at Richard’s funeral where Abby has arrived and decided Brody be able to protect her and keep her safe. There is a lot of action, drama, suspense and tons of secrets and surprise twists.
Another must read Mafia family with protective alpha brothers in charge. One to add to your library.

Abby is the daughter of Richard Callaghan and resented his new wife and adopted sons. Brody, is one of those sons and when he attends Richard’s funeral and he sees Abby, knows she is in trouble. Can he keep her safe? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama, steam and twists and turns. I really liked it.
