My heart went out to Jessica she just wanted to be loved. Mike just don’t know the kind of position he put Jessica In by ignoring her. Susan should’ve been more of a mother instead of bashing and down talking her. Vince had his own skeletons and now that his closet is opened. He can breathe better. I pray for any individual like Jessica and hope they get the proper help
Okay so this book here is the best pen I have seen from Brittany P. The book busted my head wide open! Besides teaching me a whole list of things that I didn’t know before it kept me entertained! I feel for Sugar and I feel like from the start life had it out for her. Without spoiling the book for everyone I just want to say MASON JARSSSS when you get to that part you will know lol just eww
Man what can I say.. My mouth really dropped in some parts of this book.. Omg , my heart hurts for Sugar.. Can you even imagine?? Her mom, wow was a piece of shish she is..Her dad, he just trapped in the closet, literally !!! I was glad that he was able to help Sugar the best way he knee how....
Wow! Just wow! This book was so detailed and it snatched me in right away. I found myself wanting to really understand the characters. The hurt was so evident in Sugar and she was mistreated on so many levels. Vince was so weak while Susan was controlling and mean. Sugar's parents were both instrumental in tearing her world apart and she truly needed help to save herself. This book dealt with so many issues from love/hate parent/child relationships, self-harm, and the need to be able to vent and heal from hurt. Brittany Pitteard really did an amazing job on this book just as she has with her other books. Great read! 👍👍👍👍👍
I have been waiting I the release. I have read all of Brittany Pitteard' s other book and each one draws me in more and more. I waited n she delivered. Loved the characters nnall that they went thru. Definitely needing a Part 2. This was a page Turner. Great work. Mental illness is very real.
Oh what a troubled life, Susan needs her ass beat twice, she sent Jess from one extreme to the other and Vince smh glad he grew a backbone. This family was extra dysfunctional .
This was not your typical drama filled story! The author raised awareness regarding serious life issues. It kept you guessing what would happen next! Must read you won’t be disappointed.
This was an good read. It may touch home for some, but it did open my eyes on what to look our for as I have a daughter whom suffers from mental illness. The mother need to get her some help because she has a mental illness as well. Now for the dad, I am just glad he accept himself for whom he is.
This book addresses a lot of mental and emotional entities.
Written from the view points of the people pushing through life as if everything is normal. Going through mental and emotional distress while seeking release from self imposed suffering.
This book took me on a very emotional roller coaster. I don’t want to say much in fear of giving things away but OMG. No one deserves a mother like Susan she is as horrible as they come. I appreciate the twists and turns the author put in this book and that ending was surprising to say the least. I was not expecting that. Brittany this was wrote so beautifully. Job well done
Heartwrenching A very hard hitting read that at times breaks your heart you really fall in love with the characters and feel there pain . Very well written book
