My entire body responds to your sound... They've found their rhythm. Prototype keyboardist Bam Mosley and Cassandra James have put the drama that defined their early relationship behind them. But what happens when decisions are made that threaten to disrupt the calm they've worked so hard to create? Will they falter in their love and the life they've built together? This is a brief "glimpse" into the lives of Prototype keyboardist Bam Mosley and Cassandra James following the events in their book, 'Loving Cassie' —Book 4 of The Prototype Series. *This super short story is best read only after you've completed The Prototype Series in its entirety. (The Prototype Series reading Happiness In Jersey, Finding Kennedy, Keeping Willow, and Loving Cassie).

It’s the communication for me! Bam is still my favorite 🥰 and I loved the update on him and Cassie! They have come a long way and it was so nice to see how their relationship has only become even stronger during the past year and a half! Bam was always so chill and just an effortlessly alpha male and not much has changed! Cassie’s growth was nice too! Gone are the days of her shutting down at the first sign of conflict!
I enjoyed catching up with some of my favorite characters....This short showed us the growth of Cassie, although she was always a very quick witted bright individual. She still had a lot of growing to do. This story showed a different side of her being a wife and a mother....Bam is still Bam and the character that everyone loves.
Jacinta Howard has mastered the art of keeping readers interested in a couple after the chase is over. I love how she gives us the challenges of being in a relationship, not just the ones that come with forming a relationship. This couple is one of my favorites from her--two people who are passionate about each other and have all the potential in the world to live in conflict, but managed to overcome that and form an unbreakable bond. One of the things that most endeared Bam to me in 'Loving Cassie' was his need for family, so it was so cool to see him have one of his own. I swear I smiled through the whole dang thing. And Cassie, as possessive about her man as ever, is still that chick on the lookout for anyone who will either take advantage of him (ahem, Jerika) or try to take him.
Even writing in short form, Jacinta is still one of the most original voices in Black women's fiction and romance. Whatever she writes, I'll read.
As stated in my review of The Prototype, Bam is my favorite male character. He just has that irresistible grown man swag. In this glimpse, Bam and Cassie are adjusting to being married with kids. "Cass and I had been smooth sailing since the babies were born, well, for the most part. And even before that. Really, since we got married. Like that stability, that commitment, is what we needed to settle us." But like any married couple, problems will arise. Cassie is still jealous and insecure and Bam is still charming and willing to do anything to make his girl be okay. "You and the girls-this family we've built? It's my life, for real. There's nothing I won't do for us, for you, you know that right?" *swoons*
I'm really loving Jacinta Howard's style of writing after reading the Prototype series and thoroughly enjoyed this book as well. Mannnn she knows how to really write a male character. Brian is my man! On to the next book in this series!
Bam and Cassie are my favorite couple for this author. The short look in was what I needed to know my Boos were still doing well... Love and music is dope... Bravo Ms. Howard.
Aww no words can express the ❤❤ I have for this couple their love maturity and ability to live life to the fullest its just the greatest peace on earth. Young black adults figuring life out making good decisions no great life decisions. I have a grad student in college and he's level headed like they were when they were in school and you always have a little of him in these stories. Thank u and never stop writing our positive life stories. Can't wait for the next one.
I liked the story of the glimpse into the lives of Bam and Cassandra, and I like the idea of a fictional music outfit with male and female members in it called Prototype. Though Bam and Cassandra were not my favorites I found the glimpse the author allowed readers/listeners (in my case as an audiobook listener) to have in the lives of the bandmates-turned lovers intriguing, to say the least. I'm going to do what I normally don't and encourage readers to drop in on the bandmates Prototype and their situationships with the ones closest to them!
So nice to catch up with Bam and Cassie and peek into what’s happening with their lives. Pretty sure I smiled through the first 70% of the book, until the conflict was introduced. Bam made a dumb decision, but I knew that there was no real conflict, since Bam loves h8m some Cassie, so the smiles came back pretty quickly.
Thanks for this, Jacinta Howard! And now I’m off to read Glimpse #2. Yayyyyy!!!
Bam and Cassie were the last of the Prototype series so it was only fitting readers got to see their glimpse first. And what a glimpse it was! That lil announcement kind of took me for a curve ball when I caught on. I was happy to see what was going on with them considering their book wasn't released that long ago. Their chemistry is still everything even when their not on the best of terms. I still stan for Bam.
I wish this was a full length book because this couple was def one of my favs.
I Stan for Prototype and was so glad to see these glimpses into their lives post series. I love Bam and Cassie’s relationship. The little surprise was super cute! I just love them!
It was an absolute pleasure to catch up with Cassie and Bam, their love continues to be potent and their home filled with joy and bountiful blessings. Thanks for this catch up, totally enjoyed it
I love seeing them as parents to adorable twin daughters! This glimpse was a good tease. It makes perfect sense how they are still trying to find their way as they balance career and family. Focusing on communication is key!
So glad to see Bam and Cassie happy together with a family. I know you said it would be short, but I need more! I feel drama coming from Tara's tour, and possibly with Jerika too. So love this couple! Great job! 👍👍👍
I always wonder about some of my favorite fictional couples: how are they living and how many kids did they have if any. Thanks for satisfying that curiosity about Bam and Cassie. They’re my favorite couple behind Travis and Kennedy.
Definitely enjoyed reading Bam and Cass’ glimpse, but you know this was an unfair tease 😂. I truly need more 🤔 I can’t wait to read the other glimpses to catch up with the others. Keep doing your thing Jacinta.
Excellent read! I loved the short glimpse into Bam, Cassie, and their beautiful family . Married and parents of twins. I was also pleased with the success of the band. Great update.
What an absolute pleasure to be able to catch up on Bam and Cassie in the here and now! This glimpse showcases their growth as a couple and an overall family unit. Good read!
Yep I enjoyed these glimpse with the Prototype. Like everyone else I have Favorites, Bam and Cassie are my second favorite. Seeing them with their little family is amazing. Thanks for this.
Great sexy short to catch up with Bam and Cassie! I enjoyed the interweaving of the music and their careers with the home life and marital situations that are so realistic. And it tied up quite nicely!
I loved everything about this book. The couples and how they resolved conflict, professionally working together, and their love for each other as a family. I would love to have listened to more. Great choice with my favorite narrators.
Loved catching up with Bam and Cassie and their little family. Even though we didn’t get to see her it was awesome hearing a little about Pepper as well.
