Alanna finds herself back at the talnarin fortress, Craforian, under constant guard. She must bide her time and control her power until she has another chance to rectify the torments of her past. Another great as always. Alanna had a chance for revenge but she loses the chance. She’s an amazing strong character. Can’t wait for the next one.

While I was on the fence about the first book, the second one had me jumping the fence and getting onboard with the story. The story picks up where the first book ended, so reading Fractured Past is a must.
Alanna is out for revenge. Just when she thinks she has the opportunity, it is snatched out of her hands. As she heads back to Craforian with Malik, she continues her training and learning to control her abilities. But revenge is still on her mind.
Malik has a secret he is keeping from Alanna but his truth comes out at a festival at the king's castle. Now he must keep Alanna safe while she works at controlling her abilities.
You can sense a connection between Malik and Alanna but so far we have not seen anything. I for one am waiting for it. So again, where I was once on the fence about this book, I'm waiting for the next installment in the Talnarin story. Thanks D.E. Chapman for helping me to see your vision.

This second book is quite intense. Alanna has a big learning curve in learning how to control and manifest her new powers. She still has a lot to learn about the talnarin. However, will her quest for revenge destroyed her chances for a future?
Really enjoy learning more about the talnarins but the authors doesn't reveal everything so there is still a lot of mystery about them. Alanna, for the most part, is an open minded person so she is always willing to learn. The only thing that kept bothering me is the fact that Alanna seems to be ok with all the technologically advance of the talnarins but then when they talk about castles and city, she's like, "what's that?" It just throws me off when this happens but luckily that doesn't happen much. Other than that, I am looking forward to the next book to see what happens; if the mystery of Them will be solved or not.

Awesome!! This Spilt Sercrets picks up right where the first book FRACTURED PAST left off! And will keep you turning page after page to know what is Going to happen! And just when you think you kinda figured it Out...NOPE! Another turn & twist to the Story and Alanna somehow managed to find out more!
I'm not going to Spoil anything for you since there is So much Mysterious Adventures! This is a Definitely Must Read Book with its Dark and Entertaining secrets but gonna Warn you...there's a Cliffhanger like the First book!

Wow! I thought the first book was good, but now I feel like this one is even better! I love Alanna! She is a great character and way stronger then she gives herself credit for! And she also isn't a brat about things. She doesn't want to hurt people either. And I liked Malik so much more in this book. But I think that was the point!
I love how you finally get some answers but yet there is still more questions as well as new questions to ask and get answers to. I can't wait to see where the author will take theses characters next!

The plot deepens in Split Secrets. Alanna is still on her trip to figure out the truth. It’s still a mysterious book that keeps you wanting more. You’ll be asking yourself questions as you try to figure out how things are going to go, but you never know. You won’t be able to put this book down once you start reading. Gwen and Lance are a couple with amazing passion, but then Brooks comes with a twist it was hard to put down.

Chapman's new book makes me wanna hate her.
Where Fractured Past left us with a cliffhanger (and Alanna not having the revenge she needed), Spilt Secrets continues on her adventure with a plot that thickens.
I wouldn't want to spoil the fun, but -trust me- fun it is.

If it's even possible, this story just keeps getting better. I was so hoping that Alanna and Malik would hook up but I guess the author has kept that for book 3, fingers crossed. Honestly this is not my usual go to book to read but it's a very interesting story that has grown on me and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I definitely recommend reading this book.

I really enjoyed the second book. Alanna grew a back bone and started discovering herself. The story keeps you reading to find out what is going to happen next and then the book ends. She makes new friends and learns to start trusting her friends

4.5 Stars!!!
This picks up right where the first book ( fractured past) leaves off. I am in complete awe with this book! This has completely captivated me and I can't wait to read more!!!! I NEED to find out what happens! Oh my god , just when I think I've got it all figured out, and everything's gonna be fine, BAM,,, something else happens. I don't know if my heart can take poor Alanna going through much more!

Fractured past leaves you on a cliffhanger. Spilt Secrets is full of adventure with some twists and turns keeping you glued to the pages.
Revenge is the only thing on Alanna mind. You will have to read Fractured Past to understand Alanna story.
Well worth the read.

Great book

I'm really starting to enjoy finding more about Alanna's story and her getting more involved with the Talnarians. It's nice to see her come into her own, finding her strengths and weaknesses. She's learning more about those around her and learning about the secrets they keep, as well.

The book follows right along behind Fractured Past. Alana thinks she is able to get her revenge when it is snatched from her hands. She heads back to Craforian with Malik, where she trains and learns that she must control her abilities to be successful. The book gets interesting when Malik has a secret that surfaces at at the festival at the king's castle. While trying to keep Alanna safe while she trains, there is a connection between Malik and Alanna.
Alanna must learn her strengths and weaknesses but I am looking for the next book to see what happens.

Split secrets starts where Fractured Past leaves off. Alenna is out for revenge in this book. When she thinks its time to get revenge its taken away from her. Malik is helping her with her abilities and keeping her safe. Malik and Alenna make a connection but no spark yet. Cant wait for book 3! Must read!!
