However, being a short story romance author, it seemed impossible to build an in-depth storyline like most MC romance series, but I wanted to give it a try. Therefore, I present to you my version of an MC romance. I’m borrowing the term MC Lite from Frankie Love. It is heavy on the motorcycle club sense of family, it has lots of alpha men and the curvy women that love them. However, it is a little lite on the drama and most violence is handled off-page. I sincerely hope you like it.

Honestly i dont wanna see my heroes have some stripper grinding on his lap... so im already blah about this. And worse Harper sees this when she walks into his office...
I honestly skimmed read the rest of the story because of how Smoky was... just isnt for me i also didnt connect with them.. even after that.. maybe the next guy.. shall be a winner..
Ow (stripper grinding on him) no om drama, tiny drama, sexy times, no virgins & Manwhore/player (idk when his last sexual partner was)

It was ok. Not a bad read. No virgins here, other woman (stripper grinding on him but hero is not interested) no other man, no cheating. I like this author I just wish she wrote better epilogues.

Smokey
Smokey is book 4 in the Exiled Guardians MC series and is HOT! It's pretty much instaeverything with these two. Smokey and Harper meet when she gets a job as a waitress in his strip club. Which of course does not make him happy! Smokey takes charge and tries to make Harper's life better. In typical Hope Ford fashion the story is very fast moving and completely safe. No abuse of any kind, no others after meeting, no ow/om drama. A must read! I can't wait to see what comes next!!

Harper needs a job and being a waitress at a strip club owned by the Exiled Guardians MC is better then nothing. What she does not plan for is to catch the eye of Smoky, co-owner and biker of the club. Smoky makes it known he plans to make Harper his, she is going to be his old lady but Harper isn't sure why Smoky took an interest in her and puts up a fuss.
This was a fun quickie. I liked Smoky, Harper is full of pride so she bristles with Smoky wanting to help her. Good chemistry, going to check out the rest in the series.

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.
Smokey meets Harper when she shows up looking for work at one of his bars. He hires her as a waitress and doesn’t want her dancing. He tells her he will train her the next day, but she insist on starting right away. Harpers father passed away a few weeks ago, she all alone, he mother passed five years ago. She needs money for food and bills. Smokey leaves her with Teddy his assistant to train but tells her he’ll be back later to check on her. Smokey shows up the next night, and watches Harper work and how all eyes are on her. He tells her that things aren’t working out, but she tells him she can’t help his girlfriend doesn’t like her she needs this job. He’s confused with her for a moment, and tells her he doesn’t have one and hasn’t been interest until yesterday. She thinks he is firing her but he tells her he’s not he wants her to train to work behind the bar. Smokey takes her to the clubhouse so that Keeper can train her. He tells her there’s something about her that he feel possessive about and he wants to protect her. As Harper works with Keeper she gets to know him as they talk. When Smokey takes her home for the night she tells him she’s not interested in him. Harper wakes the next morning when she hears hammering outside. She goes out to find most of the guys she met last night working on her house. Keeper finds her and tells her she needs to get back inside, then Smokey pulls up. When she finally goes inside she agues with Smokey and when she looks down at herself she realizes she’s still in her panties and a short t-shirt. Smokey tells her to go get dress, so runs off to take her shower. Harper gets ready for work and Keeper tells her he’ll take her, she tells him no but he walks behind her. Keeper tells her to give Smokey a chance, he’s not trying to pity her, it’s hard for him to show his feelings. When she arrives at work Teddy tells her he needs her out on the floor, she wants to argue but figures it’ll be extra money. When Smokey arrives at the club later, he finds a man grabbing Harper, so he runs and grabs ahold of him and pummels his face. Security comes and takes the man and his friends outside and Smokey tells them not to come back. Smokey takes Harper upstairs to his apartment. Helps her undress and shower, then gets something to eat for her. He finds out Teddy put her on the floor against his orders. She asks him to stay the night with her, so he lays on top of the covers. She tells him it’s going to take her a while to pay him back for fixing her house and he tells her it’s their house now. Harper wakes the next morning and realizes she is on top of Smokey, she slowly slides off of him but sees he has a budge in his boxers. When she licks him he looks down at her and he tells her he wants her, but he needs her to be sure. She tells him she wants him to. Smokey takes Harper to her house and she can’t believe the work that was done in the last twenty four hours. When she opens the guest room she see a baby crib and he tells her they’re getting married and having a family. Three Months Later, Smokey married Harper three weeks from the day they met. They’re at the clubhouse celebrating Sniper’s half sister Lilly’s return. She talks to Keeper, but has a secret she wants to tell Smokey when they get home. Smokey already knows she is pregnant.

Yes, I know this might be technically considered cheating, but I've read the series earlier this year and even though I'm only now catching up on my reviews - yes, shame on me, you're completely right - I didn't want to overlook it, therefore I decided to write at least a couple of lines.
So, if you see me using the same words to describe the majority of the books, you know the reason.
I loved all of these books and what I wrote at the time, for "Sniper" (book 1), applies to the entire collection: they books are short, sweet, sexy and steamy - "the perfect choice to add a little bit of steamy goodness and badassery to your day."
My favorites are "Rider" and "Rancher".
There's no cliffhangers and all of they can be read as standalones, but they're a little bit like chips: there's no way you can stop at one.

This was too short and too over the top. It's a serious case of instalove between Smoky and Harper. It's a quick read and it will be quickly forgotten. It's nothing special.

Well, I was enjoying this series until I came to this book. The book opens with one of my pet peeves; hero with ow. I know he says he was not aroused by the topless woman gyrating on his leg and getting herself off, while he was doing his books in his office. And that he has not been interested in women for some time. I don't know for how long. But really, did we need that scene? The blurb already mentions his player status. But not only was the woman getting off on his thigh while he's working, he doesn't say anything. Just let's her be! I mean, who does that?! Well Smoky apparently. To top it all, the heorine Harper walks in on that scene for an interview. I would've puked and left right away if I was her. But alas our girl needs the job desperately. So she continues. It's insta-love, like the other books in this series. Our girl puts up a token protest before succumbing to the hero's charms. Points to him, as he was faithful from that point on.
But that opening scene which is one of my pet peeves turned me off this book. The other thing that irked me was towards the end where the assistant to smoky gets Harper in trouble with some guy. And that ow stripper in the opening scene seems to be involved somehow. But we don't see any resolution to that. Not even off pages like in the previous books. They are not mentioned after smoky rescues Harper from the groper. Anyway, these two issues seemed way too important and were handled badly. So the book lost appeal to me. Especially since all the reviews said that this book was safe, but it was not to me!

I’ll be honest and say this rating is all about personal preference. It’s well written for a short book. I’m not a fan of MC Club books but I like this author for short reads and decided to commit to reading this series and broaden my horizons. But it’s just not my kind of H. I don’t mind if the H was a previous manwhore as long as he’s had a period of celibacy between his old ways and meeting his woman. This was not that. Also, there was an incident where the h is assaulted and while I liked that the H put her needs first, I expected a little follow up with what happened to the bartender who put her in that position in the first place. And finally, when I read these books I want the H to be someone I would want to be my book boyfriend and I would not choose this guys lifestyle. Let’s hang out at the mc club and his strip joint where I can be surrounded by women he’s slept with and where his employees are vindictive and untrustworthy. Sounds like a great time. I don’t know if I can finish the series I’m literally dreading the next one. How many more are there?

Smoky is book four in the exhiled guardian MC series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Smoky is a player that is getting bored of the game. When he meets a new employee of the club, he wants her. Harper just wants to earn enough to save her home. She isn’t looking for love but Smoky is persistent.
The chemistry between Smoky and Harper is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this book.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Finally got one that wasn't too instant, full possessive (it was still days, but...)
Smoky at least respected Harper's boundaries and didn't push her in the whole "mine" complex.
I loved that he had fixed her house, and rather than making her one of those girls that gave their job up, he just adjusted it for her safety. And when she got hurt, he helped her rather than taking advantage (I hate those tropes)
I'm a huge sucker for the gentle helping the girl shower scene without making a move.. Swoon every time it's way more intimate.
There were a few things left u finished (Teddy and kristy), and I would have loved a scene of just the girls getting along since we have 4 now it would have been a nice connection.
The best one so far in the series definitely can see the authors improvement 👍

Loved all the growlyness.
I'm really loving these MC Novella's. Usually all the MC books I read are full length, so it was a really nice treat to read a shorter one.
I really like these guys and girls. I love that even though the men are growly and bossy that the woman don't just drop at their feet and do what they say.
Smokey is just like every other single MC man, sleeping with all kinds of women not wanting to settle down. Until Harper walks in needing a job. Harper tells herself she won't be another notch on Smokey's bedpost. But there is something about him that her body and mind can't resist.
I loved it. I'm excited for Keepers book.

Another Bad boy off the market!
Smokey and Harper's story was great. The Alpha men if Exiled Guardians are meeting their other half's and the stories are sweet and sexy.
*** I really wish Kristy and Teddy would have been put in their places! I felt a bit disappointed that there wasn't some type of mention of those 2 getting taken down a notch.... Other than that, loved the story**

Smokey and Harper are so sweet together! Smokey has a lot to prove to Harper because he was definitely a player. Hell, he was getting a lap dance when they met!!! But he was actually very sweet to her and hadn't been interested in any woman for quite some time. But when he saw her, he was all in. They definitely got their HEA!!

I knew when Teddy went against Smoky's orders and put Harper on the floor to waitress, there was going to be trouble. I think Kristy was jealous and put him up to it, I wanted to see the outcome of that. I'm sure Smoky booted both of them. Smoky took one look at Harper and knew she would be his old lady.

The last thing Harper expected on her first day working in the strip club was her boss Smoky going all caveman and refusing to let her work there. He is pushy, determined and bossy and Harper fights him all the way...despite the feelings he evokes in her. Highly recommended

fast paced and full of heat
Great story. Loved getting Smoky’s story after he denied in ranchers book about wanting to be tied down. And wouldn’t you know. He found his other half. Loved how they met in the worst possible way but he made his intentions known and got her to trust him. Great story. Can’t wait for keepers.

Wonderful read. Loved how strong and fierce Harper was without being a stuck up snob. And how smoky showed her he loved her from the start and was understanding to her needs. Great book can't wait for Keeper book.

Heck yes!! I love all my Exiled Guardians but Smoky and Harper?? Amazing!! This is an extremely well written story! No glaring typos or added words to pull you from the story. Totally the amazing story I expect from Hope Ford

I liked that the heroine wasn't falling at the hero's feet the moment he looked her way. Sometimes some resistance is nice especially with how they met. I don't think I could have respected her otherwise. Overall, it was short and sweet. Can't wait for Keeper's story.

When Cupid's arrow hits ya
Smoky didn't know he was looking for long-term until Harper swept into his office needing a job.
She was hell bent on making it on her own, but that wasn't happening on Smoky's watch.
These two are definitely my faves in the series.

This series is excellent. I like that the Exiled Guardians are not criminals, not really. Smoky is probably my favorite so far. I love how he treats Harper. I only wish that the one girl at the beginning for her comeuppance. I can't wait for Keeper's story!!
