"Think architecture isn't for little ones? This informational board book distills architectural concepts into manageable pieces. Throughout this well-organized text, short sentences clearly define various architectural terms. . . . Art and words smoothly blend to make information accessible but without talking down to child readers. . . . Architecture really is for kids! This is a surprisingly informative and accessible concept book."--Kirkus
Babies get a look at different styles of architecture everything from the Taj Mahal, the Sydney Opera House, to St. Basil's Cathedral. Cute concept, left wishing there was a little more variety in the locations shown and not just cathedrals, palaces, etc. it would be nice if there were also examples of rural architecture from different countries like Africa or South America.

An excellent introduction to architecture geared for toddlers that describes the different types of buildings and the materials used to build them. It also makes the connection from planning a construction to building it and ends by showing two children drawing a picture of a block structure and then building it. A clever board book that is very informative yet accessible and will be a useful addition to units on dwellings and construction.
After reading the Economics one and then discovering there was a whole series of these books, I am invested in reading them all now. This one gives the basics on architecture with a nice shout out to the Sydney Opera House. A good learning resource!
Cute. I especially like how it ties itself to future builders in the end. Not as much fun as the Baby University science titles, but still well worth the effort.
Santa brought me this book! I liked the page with the houses and skyscrapers, but flipped through the other ones fast. I wanted Mommy to finish so I could get to the zoology book, which I decided I'd rather read first. Buildings are ok, but animals are better.
