I was born in London and grew up there. I was very bookish, and had a huge imagination which used to cause me to get rather anxious at times. Now I know it's a good thing for a writer to have. I loved musicals, and playing imaginative games, and my Barbie perfume making kit. Most of all I loved reading. I read everything, but I also read lots of things over and over, which I think is so important.

At university I read Classical Studies, which is a great way of finding out that the world doesn't change much and people make the same mistakes but it's interesting to look at why. I was at Bristol, and i loved the city, making new friends, being a new person.

After university I came back to London and got a job in publishing. I loved working in publishing so much, and really felt for the first time in my life that when I spoke people understood what I was saying. Book people are good people. I became an editor after a few years, working with many bestselling novelists, and in 2009 I left to write full time.

I've written 13 novels and several short stories and one Quick Read, which is an excellent way of getting people into reading more. I've acquired a partner and two children along the way.

In 2019 we moved to Bath, out of London, and I am very happy there. We live opposite a hedgerow, and I can be boring about gardening, and there's room for my collection of jumpsuits and all our books. We have lots of books. Apart from anything else they keep the house warm. xxx

This is an especially fun book that small kids will love. Frog actually is a tree frog and an adorable character. The narrator asks the reader to interact with him as he bounces about his rainforest.

The kids are prompted to blow on frog, stick out their tongue, run their fingers up the page, cheer, croak, pull the book towards them and move a leaf over to camouflage frog from danger, just to mention a few. How fun is that? Kids will eat it up I'm sure.

I suggest that the book be shared on a one-to-one bases to get the full impact and enjoyment that the author intends. The illustrations are big, bold, colourful and vibrant and filled with lots of personality and humour. I highly recommend this book. It definitely will be a winner and want to be read again and again. Fantastic!

This is Frog is a fun and interactive book that takes you on a journey through the forest as you help Frog with the instructions in the book to guide him to his final destination.

This is a book that surprised us, I didn't expect it to be so interactive so reading with a large group of children proved tricky when they all wanted to help Frog and participate in the story. There isn't very much of a story to follow in this book as the interactiveness is the main purpose of the book but the children enjoyed it anyway.

The illustrations are fun with Frog being the main focus on each page amongst his rainforest environment. The children loved seeing where frog would end up on each page and couldn't wait to see what he wanted them to do next.

This is a really fun book with lots of interactions in the story to keep the children entertained. A lovely read but if it's not convenient to have the children shaking and turning the book then maybe save the book for another time!

Thank you NetGalley and Penguin Random House Canada for the digital advance reading copy of this book.

This is the second interactive book that I have read from Harriet Evans and I love how interactive these books are! There is tilting, and shaking the book, blowing air, and quickly touching flies before they disappear. The illustrations are bright and colorful and I think kids will really enjoy reading this book.

This would be a really fun book for story time in a library or a classroom.

This is Frog is an interactive picture book that will take children on a frog-tastic adventure.

This is Frog is a fun, interactive way to read a book, as it asks for the reader to physically move the book around to interact with the story. Lee's illustrations of a cute frog is an attention grabber for kids. Overall, this book will be good for kids ages 3-preschool.

REVIEW:
I did not enjoy this book. It had a lot of things you’re supposed to do to follow the frog or make him appear to jump or swim. The story line was not interesting to me. I did enjoy the few flaps added. It might have been more interesting if there were more flaps and less pretending to hop, spin, and move the book. I gave it 2 stars because I like the hot pink cover and pictures.

A very cute interactive story. The story asks you to tilt the book, tap the page, turn it around, etc. It also has pages that are shaped differently. This one would probably be best in a more one-on-one setting, and with younger kids.

Described as a "whopping, hopping, non-stopping interactive book," the reader is encouraged to do various actions to help the frog. I felt like "Test this Book!" had a similar concept which was better overall, but this book gives the reader a lot more opportunities to interact.

Great book! I love the interactives of it but would not work for my large-group story times.

Great for interactions with the little ones to help "Frog" get through it's journey by shaking the book, flipping pages, etc. Careful they don't rip the pages though.
