Marele atlas ilustrat al corpului uman

Rate this book

Understandably the book has vocabulary and concepts that are beyond that of most people but the illustrations are beautifully done and the writer's style and use of language is very helpful in aiding an understanding of what subject you're reading about, even if you've never heard of a perixisome!
As a sidenote for anyone aspiring for Medicine, this book also touches upon heart disease and a variety of other medical topics that I've found both interesting and invaluable for my A level Biology.

I like looking at this book to help figure out what in the world is possibly going on inside my own body when I have concerning pains. It has been helpful in communicating with my doctors. Also a good reference when my kids are experiencing something. And obviously, the human body is the most amazing invention/creation in the universe.

Can't say I've really "read" this book so much as used it as a reference. I'm not a student of anatomy, so I can't vouch for this works completeness. For every anatomical question I've had, however, The Illustrated Atlas of the Human Body has provided a complete, easy to understand answer with photos, charts, and illustrations to help clarify everything. This is a top-notch reference book.
