Have we met? No? Well it's time to end that tragedy.
I'm a former firefighter/EMS guy who's picked up the proverbial pen and started writing bad boy romance stories. I co-write with my sister, Ali Parker, but live in Texas with my wife, my two little boys, my daughter, two dogs, three cats, and a turtle.
Yep. A turtle. You read that right. Don't be jealous.
You're going to find Billionaires, Bad Boys, Military Guys and loads of sexiness.
Something for everyone, hopefully. I'd love to connect with you. Check out the links below and come find me.
A good and easy romance read, enjoyable. Although Archer and Millie had a great chemistry, they didn’t evoke emotions. Archer’s mother was a sour bitch and he should had weaned himself off her a long time ago! It just didn’t steal my heart.
This is one of those books that had me so engrossed in the story, I lost track of time. There is some drama, angst, sizzling chemistry, obstacles, lots of feelies, that all lead to a happily ever after.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
An easy to read contemporary romance between a wealthy single dad & an event planner. Archer & Heidi did not get off to the best start as his arsehole tendencies took over at their first meeting. Not one to be defeated, Heidi held her own as she mulled over the idea of organizing a New Years Eve party for this prickly CEO & his employees. The thought of spending time with him was not an experience she'd like to repeat. After admitting his crass behavior was uncalled for, the two were able to move past the unpleasantness to something more personal. The highlight of this book for me was Millie, Archer's little girl. She was sweet, polite & Archer adored her. Throughout the story it was apparent that this lovely girl wanted a mother or at least a mother figure & she absolutely deserved one. Someone to talk to & do girly things with, a female perspective...Heidi was the type of person that could fill this role perfectly, even though the thought had never entered her mind. The weird part for me was how Archer allowed his mother to dictate his dating life & some house rules. He was a strong, decisive grown man who ran his own company yet fell limp to his mother's demands. A bit of an ick factor for me. A nice & easy read, with very little angst, I wish I had felt more emotion throughout the pages. This is a stand-alone with a HEA.
Omg Weston Parker did it again. This book was absolutely fantastic. Archer is a a famous billionaire and wants a new years eve party and hires heidi but when things get heated between them will his mum ruin it? This book was absolutely a roller coaster of emotions and archie listening to his mum made me angry. Can he stand up to his mom or will he listen to her and destroy the best thing that happens for him and his daughter?
I liked the premise of the story. It had a lot of potential. She's an event planner, he's a successful CEO. I loved the secondary characters, Hugo and Bonnie. I thought they were more likeable than the main characters.
I couldn't read anymore of a grown man constantly getting belittled and yelled at by his mother.
The book could've used some editing. The heroine moved to Australia as an adult and pretty much lost her American accent? There was a scene where they ordered food from their office and it arrived a paragraph later in the middle of a 1 minute conversation.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of single father Archer and event planner Heidi. Archer owns a very successful finance company and he decides to hold a New Year's Eve party for his staff and wants to hire Heidi's company. Heidi thinks it is too late in the year to plan an event, but Archer refuses to take no for an answer. Heidi thinks Archer is a bit of a jerk, but agrees to work for him. A few days later, Heidi see Archer at a rugby game and is shocked when he asks her to join him and his friend Hugo. Also shocking is Archer's daughter Millie is there. Archer likes Heidi and wants to be with her, but he doesn't date or have relationships, so when they meet to discuss the party, Archer uses the situation to invite Heidi back to his house, knowing his daughter will not be there. Afterward, Heidi panics and runs away, making Archer confused. They still have an attraction to each other, and Archer invites Heidi to do things with him and his daughter, further confusing their relationship. Archer's mother strongly disapproves of Archer bringing any woman around his daughter, causing Archer to worry if he should have kept them separate. I enjoyed this book. I really liked Heidi. I think she was so strong and had a lot of personal issues to deal with. Archer was a good guy, but he was so worried about being a good father, and that proved he was. His mother was a little overbearing. Millie was adorable and i think she won the heart of everyone she met. Archer and Heidi really cared about each other, but they did have a lot of issues to work out. Another great one from Weston that hooked me from the start.
Archer, hot alpha male, billionaire, loving single Dad and a bit of an a@se to Heidi. Heidi is a planner and is there in Australia to make things happen this Christmas. Their first meeting does not go well and she is furious with him whilst also being very attracted towards him. Meanwhile his little girl, Millie, who is adorable really likes Heidi and makes her Dad take another look at Heidi and think that maybe, first impressions aren't always correct. Archer feels he needs to guard his heart and protect Milie after the way his ex treated them. Then there is his mother! Oh boy! What a piece of work who really doesn't like Heidi at all. So despite the sizzling chemistry whenever they are together, do they really stand a chance at forever together?? This is a brilliant read from the best selling author, Weston Parker, that will keep you from doing the housework or anything else for that matter as you will NEED to read it all. Very well written with engaging characters that are believable and Weston writes so well that it's almost as if you 'know' them. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended!!
What a great read, loved Heidi and Archer and my go that Millie, you just want to pinch her cheeks she’s so sweet. They both carry their own baggage, his with his ex and her with her mother’s illness and the fear of being alone. Archer and Heidi’s road to relationship is bumpy at best, he’s an arse, he listens too much to his mother, who I wanted to strangle, I knew where she was coming from but my god let him live a little.
Then there’s Millie, Archer’s daughter, she’s so sweet and loving, caring and takes a shine to Heidi, which makes Archer take a closer look at what he’s doing, should they have met? Is it too soon and what if she leaves us? So many questions, their journey is emotional, some misunderstandings, and hurt caused by Archer’s not standing up for Heidi when he should have, will they ever see each other again? Archer has royally messed up everything because he listened to him mother?
Will he get Heidi to listen to him or will she wash her hands of him? Guess you will need to read for yourself to find out. Loved this book, amazing characters and storyline.
Never in a million years did I expect to find a devious mixture of love and lust overseas.
I’m an American girl, living in Australia to help my sick momma.
And she’s not getting any better.
If nothing else, Mister McHottie is a great distraction.
He’s a single father, which is beyond scorching, seeing that he’s a dream with his little girl.
Who wouldn’t be? Even I’m falling in love with her.
All I’ve ever wanted is a family, but it comes at a cost.
His mother’s holding the coin purse, which is always fun. Yay me!
And I have one real shot at wooing him.
I’m running his big New Year’s Eve event and it’s time to put on the ritz.
This guy has no clue what’s headed his way.
I’m pulling out all the stops. Time to show him what I’ve got…
Loved Heidi and Archer's story! Flawlessly written and heartfelt. Although their relationship wasn't an easy one it was beautiful to watch them grow together. They each had their own baggage. Loved every single page of this book.
Archer is a single dad that is at the top of his profession. He's known for being one of the city's most eligible bachelors and a very hardcore businessman. He's not interested in relationships or anything that will take his time away from his daughter and his business. That is, until he hires event planner Heidi to plan his year end corporate party.
Heidi doesn't have time for Archer's harsh attitude and couldn't care less about his financial or eligible bachelor status. She sees his softer side when she runs into him at a rugby match, she starts to think that maybe there is more to him than the jerk in the boardroom.
This novel is highly entertaining and the chemistry between Archer and Heidi is enthralling. The best part his honesty reading Archer's daughter, Millie, interact with both Archer and Heidi. The child is adorable.
I was given an ARC of this novel for an honest review.
Archer and Heidi are from two different backgrounds culturally but they have a similar resolve - family comes first.
He is the tough-as-nails investment manager and a single dad. Between him and his mother, his daughter is cared for and loved. He has been hurt badly with love so his focus is work and his daughter.
Heidi is an American events planner who moved to Australia to be closer to her mother. Her focus is spending as much time with her mother and establishing her career.
Archer and Heidi collaborate on an event where sparks fly for both of them, will they be able to combine their mutual resolve or will other issues get between them?
It is a great read, with wonderful main and supporting characters.
Archer is a single dad with a mother who is perhaps a little TOO involved in their lives and holding him back from finding happiness again. Heidi moved from NYC to Australia to follow her mother who is suffering from dementia. After having been burned by Millie's mother, Archer is not quick to trust and can be quite the arse. He starts off on the wrong foot with Heidi when he seeks her out to plan his New Year's Eve company party - with only 6 weeks notice. She isn't sure she wants to take on the job, but is convinced to. He does not make it easy as he tries to dictate everything, even though he knows nothing about planning a party. Their relationship has lots of ups and downs, but there is definitely a connection between Archer, Heidi and Millie. Will his mother ruin it for them or will they find their way through their painful pasts and present to find happiness and family? This story kept me engaged throughout. Another hit from Weston Parker.
Weston Parker never cease to amaze me with his stories, and Show Me What You Got is another hit under his belt. The story between Heidi and Archer is a slow burning one where trust plays a fundamental key. You can feel the attraction sizzling between this characters but none of them wanted to give in 100% due to past and present heartaches. They couldn't help it though, the spark from the beginning was impossible to prevent and despite the tension buildup due to her work and his mother, they let passion explode creating hot waves throughout the book that only an Alpha Aussie and a beautiful wild New Yorker can ignite. And although their relationship was put up to test thanks to distrust and doubts, their love came out triumphant giving them and his daughter Millie the happily ever after they deserved. I totally recommend this book, you won't be disappointed.
Heidi’s life isn’t perfect, she has her dream career but she’s missing family. When asked to plan a party for the demanding and controlling Archer Lee. First impressions aren’t pleasant but the more Archer and Heidi learn about each other the more they are drawn to each other. Add in Archer’s ever adorable daughter Millie and you will melt at every shared moment. Of course there is tension and miss understandings, and a moment when it all becomes too much when you add in Archer’s overly protective and judgemental mother. Yet Archer finds a way to redeem himself.
The only downfall was that it didn’t seem authentic when Archer was trying to redeem himself. The epilogue was okay but I would have loved an additional epilogue of where they all are a few years later.
Archer meets Heidi while attempting to plan a company party for New Years. It was instant attraction and mutual distrust from the start.
A happenstance throws them together in an informal situation that begins the rollercoaster ride they start together.
Although attracted to each other, they have too many outside influences pressuring them, including their own second thoughts.
I am a Weston Parker super fan, but I just did not bond with this one; it was just okay for me.
Both Archer and Heidi were in their own heads way too much. Archer's mother was a strange one and I thought a resounding slap would have done homegirl some good or at least a good telling off!🤷♀️
Millie seemed to be an unhappy child, but nobody seemed to address that other than give it lip service.
Hugo and Bonnie were great secondary characters and I really wanted them to meet.
An interesting story, but not one of my favorites from this beloved author.
Other than Millie, who is just the cutest little thing ever, the Lee family is pretty unlikeable. Archer made my head spin with his yo-yoing personality. I was hard pressed to guess whether we were going to the jerk or the sweetheart in any given scene. And his mother never managed to endear herself to me. Thankfully, this story has Heidi and Millie. This pair of spunky females wormed their way into my heart and ran away with the show. I loved watching these two ladies encourage Archer to be his best self, and I especially loved seeing him achieve it in the end. I adore witnessing alpha-holes get redeemed and that’s exactly what this story gave me. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
Archer is a single dad raising his daughter with the help of his mom. Archer is also one of Sydney's most eligible bachelors. When he decides to throw his company a last minute NYE party he hires Heidi who planned the party he was out and thought it was awesome. When Heidi walks in his office he is taken aback.. He never felt he could trust a woman again after his daughter's mother left him and her and something about Heidi had him intrigued. Heidi couldn't hide the fact she thought he was insanely attractive but this was a client and she couldn't' cross that line. When things heat up between them his mother makes accusations and those accusations hurt Heidi. Can Archer make things right with her and have a Happy New Year?
SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT By Weston Parker This is the story of Archer Lee and Heidi. He is a billionaire and she is an event planner. He is single father of a young daughter, and his mother is very involved with helping him with Millie. After going to the party of a business associate Archer decides to throw a huge party for his employees. When Archer and Heidi meet, she thinks he is a rude and he thinks she is unprofessional as she was late without explanation. They agree to work together. The chemistry between them is hot, with a strong story line, very likable characters with the exception of one interfering, dominating mother. I give this one 4 stars as I couldn’t quite get behind Archer being so strong willed and rude but catering to whatever his mother decrees.
This was a passionate story about two stubborn people Archer and Heidi. Archer a billionaire is determined to have the best holiday party for his employees at his company. Heidi is recommended to him as the best party event planner in the area. At first they do not get along that well, however things change for the best. Archer always kept his business and personal life separate. The reason why he has his daughter Millie that he has raised since birth. Both Archer and his mother are protective of her. As things progress business wise with Archer and Heidi they become more civil in their relationship. This story reminds me of you can find trust and love in many places. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for my honest review.
Heidi and Archer's story is filled with ups and downs and interference from his mother. Archer is a rich single dad who hires Heidi as his event planner for his New Year's party for his company. Heidi is a strong willed woman who is working to help support her sick mother. Archer relies on his own mother with Millie, his daughter, since her biological mother is not involved at all. The attraction between these two is amazing, but their issues often interfere with their own happiness. Can they overcome all the obstacles in their way to find their HEA? A wonderful story with great characters (love Millie and Heidi together). I received an advanced readers copy of this book and highly recommend it!
I dont know how Weston is doing it but each book he is writing now is just topping the last one. Heidi had to move to Australia from New York because her Mum was there and her health was failing. Her Stepdad financially was taking care of her but no longer could emotionally. Heidi is an event planner extroidanaire. Archer attends a Christmas party she has put on for one of his friends Business's and is blown away with the details. Archer gets her business card and calls her to book a New Years Eve Party for his Employees as a year end thank you from him and the story goes from there. Many twists and turns. Archer has a very possessive controlling mother to say the least. He also has a darling sweet daughter. Loved this book, you will too.
I began reading books by Weston Parker when he first began writing with Ali Parker (because I love her writing so much) and I stopped. My reasons were just that they weren't up to the caliber of Ali's books. They seemed too immature both in content and writing and most of all interest. I read the synopsis of this book and decided to try it because the story sounded interesting. It was a complete turn around to me. The writing was crisp, and solid. The story was mostly believable, (even tho I could not believe there was a mother quite so mean as this one), and the ending made me believe couples can change their hearts and begin to trust again. I will absolutely read more of Weston Parker's books from now on. I gladly give this book my 5 stars!
Heidi, a transplanted event planner, is contacted by Archer, CEO of an investment firm, to plan a New Year’s Eve party for the company on short notice. As the story progresses attitudes get in the way, a friendly arrangement is made, and getting drawn into something they were not expecting could drive them apart rather than together. Weston Parker’s Show Me What You Got is a great tale about finding love when you least expect or want it. I absolutely loved Millie, and would like to see Hugo and Bonnie get their own books if his muse so desires.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
This was a sensationally heartwarming new novel from Weston Parker with so much heart and emotion. A beautiful story about one woman's struggle to care for an ill parent wile fearing a lonely life in the not so distant future. And a man attempting to raise his daughter right. Archer and Heidi have their own battle and fears to overcome in order to find their own version of happily ever after; mix in a very adorable little girl and it's the perfect Holiday romance to start a new year. I loved this new novel and the wonderful characters from Weston Parker and I can't wait for his next release. "I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this novel."
Heidi was the event planner for Archer's company and along the line they became more than collegues. Archer, although doing very well in business, was not as self-confident as he liked to portray. I don't know why I am always left surprised at my feelings after reading a book by Weston Parker. This book has brought out so many emotions, I need a chance to relax and work through it all in my mind again. There are not enough stars to allocate. Definitely a keeper. I received a copy in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.
Another must read from Weston! This is an enjoyable and easy to read holiday romance that will give you all the feels. It took me a while to warm up to Archer but was glad that Heidi and Millie helped him become a better man. Millie truly stole the show and was just adorable. Archer and Heidi’s chemistry was amazing and sizzling hot right from the start, but their baggage and additional drama get in a way to their HEA. It was all worth it in the end and the ending was perfect and heartwarming!
I received an advanced copy of this book from author and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Single dad, single mom who are both struggling with past demons. Imperfect people who are thrown together and happen to find unexpected attraction. He a micromanaging ahole (ceo) and she’s the party planner he hires last minute for company NYE party. I couldn’t put down! Author Weston Parker knows how to create fascinating characters that draw you Ina Nd keep reading. If you live single parent and care taker this one is for you! I was given a copy and am voluntarily giving my honest review.
