The Fallen #3

Empty is the Grave

Rate this book
It looked like freedom – but it might cost his life. After months behind bars, Rafe Garcia is selected to participate in a prison work crew to clean up Alcatraz Island. He thinks the day will offer a brief reprieve from the constant threats he faces inside the prison, but he couldn’t be more wrong. Alcatraz is a haven for smugglers and a graveyard for the living. When a violent turf war erupts between rival smuggling rings, Rafe and the rest of the work detail are caught in the middle. The grave consumes people all around them – what chance do they have of standing against the evil enveloping the small island? She trusted the wrong man. Teenaged tagger Chloe thought she was joining a group of artists wanting to leave their mark on Alcatraz, but ends up abandoned on the island and fighting to survive. How can she hope to make it off an island overrun with inmates, guns, and a growing body count? Darkness and light clash on the spiritual realm. A battle brews between the forces of Heaven and hell, with the souls of unsuspecting humans hanging in the balance. Josiah is the only one who can see the spiritual war beneath the surface. As the threat increases, he stands between the innocent and those bent on destruction, determined to defend life – and souls – at any cost. Can he stop a threat that is both physical and spiritual? Or will the forces of hell fill the grave with the souls of those too unequipped to stand against the darkness?
Empty is the Grave , the thrilling final installment in the Fallen Series, explores the spiritual forces at work in the world around us and how one person can impact others for eternity. Don’t miss this heart-racing conclusion!

I cried!
Very emotional ending to the series. Enjoyed it so much!
“I don’t know what the future will bring. I don’t know if any of us will die today. But what I do know is that the grave is empty. Death has no power over me. When I die, I go to heaven to be with my Father, who loves me. This shell I inhabit might be in the grave, but my soul, who I am inside, will live forever with Jesus. How can I fear that?”

Fantastic

Last of this series and makes me sad because I feel I am saying good bye to old friends. Incredible inspiring stories that are filled with adventure and action. Not all happy endings but shows deep faith and willingness to follow God.

her writing is great. I love the spirituality parts claiming God for the answers. I am going to miss the characters though because I can relate to them well. Its life's circumstances that takes us away from God including the demons. I love your books Candle!

Really struggled with this one. Loved the first two books in this series, but this one I had a hard time staying focused on what I was reading.

Powerful!

I have waited for this ! It is awe inspiring to read words on a page that make me see the battle in the heavenlies . This is one of the few books I would read again. Deadly Alliance series was terrific but your inspiration and seamless blending in the Word of God in this series helps my faith that I am called to a higher purpose also. The grave is truly empty.
