பொன்னி சாதிக்க நினைக்கும் காரியம் உன்னதமானது. அது போலவே பொன்னியை எதிர்த்து நிற்கும் சக்திகளும் கனவுக்கு அப்பாற்பட்டவை. ஒரு புறம் இரண்டாயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான எதற்கும் துணிந்த ஒரு ரகசியப் படை அவள் எடுக்கும் ஒவ்வொரு அடியையும் மறித்து நிற்கிறது. இன்னொரு புறம் உலகின் சக்தி வாய்ந்த உளவு அமைப்புகள் அவளை வேட்டையாட வட்டமிடுகின்றன. இதற்கெல்லாம் காரணமாக இருக்கும் தங்கம் என்ற அதிசய உலோகம் இன்னுமொரு ரத்த வரலாற்றை எழுதக் காத்திருக்கிறது.

My thoughts about the book (which I haven't covered in the video)

As I mentioned in the video there were lots of Scientific Inaccuracies and Logical inconsistencies which bothered me a lot. Specially the climax bothered me a lot. Such 'dues ex machina' style climax doesn't impress me. Most characters were lacking depth and arc. It felt author put all his weight on plot instead of the characters.
In one line : Story crux was good but plot and narration were lacking.

This is my first novel in tamil that is kind of a thriller. It was paced well and intrigued me to read further. But there were a lot of logical fallacies and inaccuracies that I could note. The women protagonists are made as beautiful yet powerful, which feels like a great deal from the superficial view but is just another male gazed narrative. It's very clear in the descriptions of the said women and other men characters. Yet, The main plot of Kolar Godl Fields and the people affected by the mining really does make you ignore some of these flaws. Overall a good book for reading or getting an intro on KGF and the people's history. Good for young adults to get into book reading and know about gold mining

பெரிய இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு ஒரு புத்தகத்தை எடுத்து அதை படித்து முடிப்பதென்பது வாசகர்களின் சாதனை மட்டும் இல்லை அவர்கள் எடுக்கும் நூலின் ஆசிரியரும் ஒரு முக்கிய காரணம்.அந்த வகையில் நான் ஒரு பெரிய இடைவெளிக்கு பிறகு வாசித்து முடித்த புதினம் இந்த பொன்னி...என்னை புத்தகங்களுக்கு மீண்டும் அழைத்து வந்த ஷான்க்கு என் நன்றிகள்.. பொன்னி வாசித்து முடித்த அடுத்த நொடி பொன்னி 2.0 kindle லில் வாங்கி விட்டேன் என்றால் பாருங்கள் அது எப்படி பட்ட வாசிப்பு அனுபவம் தருகிறது என்று. இதற்கு முக்கிய காரணம் களம்(K G F) மற்றும் மைய கரு (Gold 🪙). In one line an intersting plot and a movie material.

Very good story

I am very impressed and whenever I was reading bi literally became those characters...highly recommended. The knowledge of the author in international agencies and the way they work is amazing...want to read his other works too

Novel based on kgf tamil people. Nice plot starts at Pandiyas era and moves to present times. Touches british times as well. As author narrates the story he clevery includes the socio-economic conditions of people (especially tamils) who worked in kgf gold mines. An express thriller and must read

அமேசானில் எதேச்சையாக பார்த்ததில், பொன்னி, இரணியை சேனை என்ற பெயர்களும், அட்டைப்படமும் ஈர்த்தது. முதல் அத்தியாயம் படிக்கும் பொழுது வரலாற்றுப் புதினமா என்றும், இரண்டாவது படிக்கும் பொழுது ஒன்று விட்டு ஒரு அத்தியாயம் இருவேறு நிகழ்வுகளுடன் ஒரு புள்ளியில் இணையுமா என்ற எண்ணமும், மூன்றாவது படிக்கும் பொழுது மாறியது.

Flashback கொஞ்சம் மெதுவாக செல்வது போல் இருந்தது. கோலார் தங்க சுரங்கத்தால் தமிழர்கள் எவ்வாறு சுரண்டப்பட்டார்கள் என்று இன்னும் கொஞ்சம் அழுத்தமாக சொல்லியிருக்கலாமோ என்று தோன்றியது. மற்றப்படி சில, பல திருப்பங்களுடன் விறுவிறுப்பாக செல்கிறது.

இது போல், பர்மாவிலிருந்து, ஈழத்திலிருந்து, கர்நாடகாவிலிருந்து துரத்தப்பட்ட, தமிழர்களின் வாழ்வாதார போராட்டங்களை ஆவணப்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
