I love Mark and this series. I thoroughly enjoyed the new paths that Mark is going on. Glad to see that Steven isn't going to be left behind. Hate to see the lines drawn in various friendships who won't accept Stan but that truly mirrors real life when couples separate. Those incidents really rang true to life for me.

As for the ending (spoiler alert), it surprised me. However, when I thought about it, I realized it should not have. Mark's gesture was so in line with who he is as a person and knows what will make a good partnership. He is also smart enough to realize his weaknesses and surround himself with people who care for him and will help him along the way.

I am not either for or against Mark and Steven's divorce but am very glad to see them continue their partnership in other ways. Looking forward to future adventures of these two who truly do love and care for each other.

Another great read by GA. Love her character development and plot twists. Although this is the 28th book in the series, it is still fresh with new twists and turns for these much beloved characters.

I've been following this Series and the related ones for a very long time, and I have very much enjoyed them. However, I am sad to say this one was a bit of a let down for me.

I don't mind that Steve and Mark are going their seperate ways. Life's like that. Not every relationship ends in happily ever after no matter how much you love each other in the beginning. People change. That's fine. I think the drama was actually a pretty good addition. It has been clear for a while that Steve and Mark's relationship wasn't healthy.

The previous book was very action packed and entertaining. This one felt more like filler. It was not enthralling, and rather than leaving me wanting to devour it, it more left me bored and just wanting to finish it because I payed for it so that I could move on to something else.

I admit that my suffering through this book is probably my fault. I was not really supposed to buy it, knowing very well that the series had lost its appeal for me a long time ago. I guess I was looking for some hot sex scenes (if not mature characters or a sensible plot). However, I've found myself skimming through the sex scenes, which were boring and repetitious (especially if you don't find Mark and Stan an attractive or interesting couple). Apparently, the series does not work anymore even as m-m erotica. As the (supposedly) adult characters put most eloquently again and again through the book, this sucks.

It's good, very heartbreaking, would of loved Steve and Mark back together.
Please let them get back together with the next book.
