During my time in Missouri, I explored the Ozarks, swam in the Mississippi River, played kickball and endless games of hide and seek with the neighborhood kids. Spending summers in Kentucky with my Grandmother, Ruth, are the fondest childhood memories for me.
At the age of thirteen, my family moved to Wisconsin to learn to farm. Yes, learn to farm! That was interesting. Taking city kids and throwing them on a farm with twenty-eight cows purchased from the Humane Society because they had been abused, was interesting. I learned to milk cows, the ins and outs of a breeding schedule, feeding schedule and the never ending haying in the summer and trying to stay warm in the winter. Our first winter in Wisconsin, we had thirty-six inches of snow in one storm and were snowed in our house for three days! Needless to say, I wasn’t loving Wisconsin.
I am now married with four children and three grandchildren. I have learned to love Wisconsin, though I still hate snow. Wisconsin and the United States are beautiful and my husband and I travel around by motorcycle seeing new sites and meeting new people. It never ceases to amaze me how many people are interested in where we are going and what we have seen along the way. At every gas station, restaurant and hotel, we have people come up to us and ask us about what we are doing and offering advice on which roads in the area are better than others and great rides others have been on if we are interested.
I come from a family of veterans. My grandfather, father, brother and two of my sons and one daughter-in-law are all veterans. Needless to say, I am proud. Proud to be an American and proud of the service my amazing family has given.

Keeping Skye Safe
4.5 stars - For a small town, Leonard Station sure does attract quite a bit of illicit activity. We meet Skye as she is working for an auction house that's not all it appears.
Lincoln is doing some undercover work to get answers.
The more he digs, the more surprises that are revealed. There's deception in the story but I was happy to see that for those that are important, it's not long lived. There is also more danger than was expected when he went snooping.
The chemistry between Skye and Lincoln is fantastic. Little pangs of jealousy here, a bit of denial there. It all adds up to a fun, but equally scary, ride. Never fear, Abe, Lincoln's German Shepherd, is ready to take up the charge! ❤️🐕🥊

Such an action packed book. Enjoyed listening to the second book of this series, "Lincoln: Finding His Mark". Awesome follow up to the first book, "Ford: Finding His Fire". Loved reading about Lincoln a Bounty Hunter and Skye that is in charge of HR for Limitless International. Skye had clue that shady stuff was happening until Lincoln showed up. After she got in trouble from her boss for handing over one of their employees to Lincoln she decided to look a little closer to what was going on. She found out that someone was hiring employees that had a record. While Skye was at her parents helping out she witnessed a murder and finds herself in the middle of messy situation. Lincoln has to make the decision of whether Skye is being honest with him and has no clue of what is going on at her work or if she is playing him and trying to throw him off. He follows his heart and decides to help Skye and her family after he figures out that Skye is being set up and someone is trying to put the blame on her. It is nice to see Lincoln and Skye being helped and backed up by their family and friends. This is a very enjoyable read and totally recommend it.

This is the second book in the authors series titled Bounty Hunters , but if like me , you have not read book one, rest assure this is a stand alone with enough background information that you will know who all the players are.
Lincoln Winters is a bounty hunter in a company he owns with his military “brothers”.
When he goes to get one of the delinquents who failed to show up in court, he meets Skye Sommers, the HR person where the delinquent works.
The attraction is immediate , but they have both been hurt by exes, and trust is a big issue.
Little did either know that by searching for this criminal , both got involved in a more serious situation. Lincoln is hired to find out what’s happening in the black market, and Skye is put in danger.
It’s a fast paced, story filled with bad guys, hunky good guys, suspense and of course romance. Likable main and secondary characters.
The opinions expressed are solely my own.

This book just shows how much you shouldn't judge a person on a first impression. I really liked both characters and there was wonderful blend of romance and action to keep me interested.

An ideal book to read snuggled up in a cozy blanket with a mug of hot chocolate as the story creates the perfect dream of being saved and loved by pure masculinity!

Forming a bounty-hunting business, Lincoln goes into business with his buddies Ford and Dodge to get the bad guys off the streets. He throws himself into work because there is nothing else for him to do. In the process of bringing his next catch in, he meets Skye, the HR manager who helps him capture his mark and not realizing his world has been changed. The initial chemistry that Lincoln feels in his gut helps him to save Skye when she is on the side of the road with car troubles. What first started as a way to get more information from her quickly turns into him falling for her and protecting her as the plot thickens. When Skye witnesses something she isn’t supposed to see, she puts herself and her family in danger, but Lincoln steps in and plays protector as his feelings grow and hers develop as well. As Skye continues to look into her employer and realizes things don’t add up, her and Lincoln work together to bring the bad guys to justice. Overall, this was a good read and we also got a continuation of where Ford and Megan ended up as well!

His mind wonders if she is a suspect but his gut says she is innocent and needs his protection. Skye's dream job turns into a nightmare when she witnesses a murder and realises that nothing at work is how it seems. When Lincoln claiming to be an investigator turns up st Skye's office she has no choice but to trust him. Soon her heart is in as much danger as her life but she worries that he is only using her to get to his mark.
I enjoyed this story. There was jeopardy of the investigation into the arms dealing, the innocent Skye mixed up in it but with access to some very useful information, and the growing attraction between them both. I loved the way he went all alpha male to protect her but she was sassy enough to not let him get away with it. The team at big 3 security worked together and it was great to feature them all in this story too. Easy to read and understand I was drawn into the story. Contains some mature content.

After delivering the bounty to jail, Lincoln finds out that the shop is being watched. The plan is for Linc to get close to Skye to find out if she's involved. Skye is interested in Linc but her life is so busy. She figures if she shows him her life, he'll back off. She takes him to her parents and while filling up the hay wagon, sees a man murdered. Linc immediately sets up security for her and her parents. Skye and her parents are taken and the Big 3 Security will stop at nothing to get them back.
Excellent story with action and suspense. A cute pup. Second chance at love. Sex. I had to quit reading several times because I was getting nervous afraid what was going to happen. Great series. Will keep you interested until the very end.

This is the stroy of Lincoln a former Ranger, one of the parners of The Big Three security team. He decided to leave his old life, doing a little less dangerous job.
But then he meets Skye, she is everythink he thinks he hates about women, and she is in real danger. But also she is not what he thought.
Skye is a hardworking woman, doing her job as best she can and helping her parents on their farm. She is charmed by Loncoln from the first meeting but she was burned ones and wants not to make the same mistake again. But then she witness a murder and she is forced to trust Lincoln and his teammates to protect herself and her family.
And they both learn their real personalities and under pressure they give their feelings free flow and the chemistry is really explosive. And the Hot scenes 🌶️🌶️🔥🔥 oh boy.
I felt like the story didn't end with catching the bad guys but we got more, like extra epilogue. End there is the continue of Megan and Ford relationship. Amazing 😍😍❤️❤️📖📖.

The Big Three investigators (named Ford, Lincoln and Dodge) are an investigative team who now form a bounty hunting-skip tracing team in Lynyrd Station, Indiana (really!). Ford tries to run down a man who failed to appear in court after a hit and run fatality. Arriving at the man's workplace, Ford meets the HR person in charge, Skye Sommers, and she knocks his socks off (or maybe his equilibrium).
Upon investigating the employee, Skye finds that there is no paperwork and no sign that the man's employment ever went through the usual HR cycle. She is upset since she is responsible. She is even more surprised when she speaks to the head of the office and is told very clearly not to interfere with any hires made by him or another manager.
Skye begins to see something wrong, and Ford shares her suspicions. This is enough to have the boss' off-the-books thugs after her and Ford and sends them on the run. A very good story here.

Lincoln takes down another skip which lands him in the middle of an investigation to take down an arms dealer. He also didn’t plan on this skip leading him to Skye who is working in HR at Limitless. Skye thought she had her dream job until she ended up in danger. Lincoln takes it upon himself to protect Skye and her parents but she’s not going to idly sit by and let the men do all the work. This is a great story with action, suspense, love, steam and a HEA. I read/listened this one out of order in the series and they can be a standalone and things quickly clicked into the timeline! If you see one that you really want to try before you dive into the whole series you will be able to follow the story without any issues but I have a feeling you’ll be like me and starting back with book 1! I love the narrators and how easy they bring the characters from PJ’s well written books to life! I can’t wait to start my next book.

He goes in to ask Skye one day if one of his bail jumpers is ther and, when she calls, hemanages to get the guy and take him back to jail
Problem is that Lincoln also realizes that has now put him and Skye on their radar and, he must protect her and her parents from these criminals.Not an easy thing to do when he and Skye felt an immediate hot, steamy attraction!
This story is non-stop action, passion, realizing what family and friends will do for you and, learning how to keep your promises!

This is the second book in the series but you don't need to read the first (but I recommend it). I really enjoyed it and goes to show that what you see isn't necessarily what you get. Love adult characters. I really enjoyed Skye. Great chemistry at the beginning, great suspense.
Both narrators - Rose Dioro and Troy Duran - were excellent! A great afternoon listen!
A couple of negatives that don't take away from the story- the last few chapters felt a bit forced and then it just ended kinda abruptly like the author needed a word limit and just added to make the quota. The chemistry between the characters got lost somehow. The ex's from book 1 and 2 seem to be very similar (spend lots of $, need to be supported by H/h), hopefully, this trend doesn't continue as it's a bit repetitive.

This is book 2 in Fiala's Big 3 Security series and is another wonderful, suspense romance. Well written with a great storyline and smooth flow. I absolutely adore the dual narration - these two narrators are amazing! Our main characters in this romance are Lincoln and Skye. Their romance was more of an insta attraction / lust / love but I really appreciated how they had already been in previous relationships and knew what wouldn't work for them. Great dynamics with each other as well as our secondary characters. Overall I am loving this series of alpha protectors and the strong women who love them. I can't wait for more!

I've listened to most of the other books in the Lynnard Station/Big 3 Security/GHOST series (out of order). There's a larger story that continues though the series, but Lincoln and Skye's story is resolved in this book. I like that the characters are old enough to have some life experience. The ending came up a bit abruptly, but it's not a cliffhanger and I'm looking forward to listening to more by PJ Fiala.
I listened to the audiobooks. Like the other books in the series, this one is narrated by the fabulous team of Troy Duran and Rose Dioro. They do an excellent job with their performances, and they add another dimension to the story.
I own the ebook and I received a copy of the audiobook at my request. The opinions here are my own.

A great book with lots of emotions
Lincoln and Skye met at her job while he was doing his as a bounty hunter and looking for one of the employees. Then when he convinces her to let him come to dinner at her parents farm, she witnesses a murder and now they are after her. Lincoln becomes her security and her mom and love him right from the beginning. In the process of getting her and her parents out of town before anything happens, the are kidnapped. Lincoln realizes at that point that he is in love with her and will do anything it takes to get her and her parents back. But can he do it before anything happens to them? Will they catch her boss Victor and his goons and shut them down? Lincoln and Skye go through a lot but will they come out the other side together?

P.J Fiala knows how to write stories full of angst, a great storyline and some off the charts steam!!!
I have been reading this author for a few years now and I have seen such growth in the way she presents her stories to the reader that they really connect to perfectly.
Lincoln is the ultimate Alpha that gets heads turning even when he isn't trying!! Skye has had it with men and has no time between her parents and her job... that is until Lincoln comes strolling in her office.
I love being able to connect with characters in stories and P.J Fiala does it perfectly with The Bounty Hunters Series.
I have been reading this author for a few years now and I have seen such growth in the way she presents her stories to the reader that they really connect to perfectly.

Ford's army buddy and now bounty Hunter Lincoln and HR Manager Skye get tied up in a scheme that involves art, jewelry, selling guns on the black market, and the mob.
This novel has something for everyone: drama, a little steam, love at first sight, a well trained dog, realistic characters, and Lincoln a rough ,brash, down to earth hero who is fiercely protective yet sweet, tender and gentle with those he cares about. The murder scenes, although not overly graphic, and an ending steamy scene make this a best if 18+ book.

I read this book as part of Love Under Seige and this was a new author to me. This story was so enjoyable that I went back to read the first book in the series also.
Lincoln is the ultimate alpha male and when he meets Skye as part of an investigation into Limitless International, he has to deal with his instant attraction to her while trying to determine if she is part of the arms dealing or innocent. Skye thinks she has her dream job until things start to not add up. This is fast paced book with lots of suspense and steam.

Bounty hunter, Lincoln Winter, can get scrappy with the best of his bail jumpers…but he is not prepared for the beautiful HR manager at Limitless…a company that is under scrutiny by most of the lettered agencies. If only Skye was not involved in criminal activity…until he realizes that she’s an innocent ‘bystander’. Now Lincoln and the rest of the Big 3 Security team must keep Skye safe from her not-so-innocent employers. Great story…lots of action and romance. Enjoying this new series.

Lincoln Winters and his two buddies started Three Man Body Hunters. They are hired to pick criminals. They get involved with men selling arms on black market. Somethings not right Linc needs to know how Skye is mixed up with criminaks, and Skye doesn't know just how dangerous her job has become, Linc needs to get to know Skye, but protect his heart . A perfect romantic suspense that sizzked.

great series
I am loving this series. The stories are independent but with linking elements and the same group of characters. Lincoln meets Skye as part of his bounty hunting work and is immediately struck with her. She then appears to be involved in a wider case but luckily is proven to be an innocent bystander. Their attraction grows very quickly as the case develops. Looking forward to Dodge’s story .

Lincoln by PJ Fiala is bounty hunter Lincoln and Skye’s tale. I have to say, if there’s a place to order a Lincoln of your own, someone tell me quick. Lincoln and Skye’s story is packed with drama, action, smokin’ hot sexy bits and suspense. Kudos to Ms. Fiala for the nuggets of humor strategically placed through the pages this book. I totally loved this book and I'm sure I'll be reading more from this author soon. Lincoln is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

Lincoln and Skye's story is another fast-paced quick listen full of action, suspense, danger, steam, and love as these two fall fast for each other after an illegal operation is discovered under Skye's nose. Lincoln's suspicion soon turns to protective instincts as he realizes Skye could be a target, and Skye is no shrinking violet helping to save herself. These two find their HEA as Rose Dioro and Troy Duran bring the pages to life.

I am really enjoying PJ FiLas books. They are interesting and the narrators keep you engaged. There were a couple of chapters near the end that it seemed like she was stretching the book out. But overall a good book there are chapters of steam but as normal I skipped over those and still enjoyed a good book. I received a complimentary copy of this book. But when Skye ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time, Lincoln goes from getting the bad guys to protecting the woman he is falling for. Fast paced and an enjoyable read, this tale of crossing paths is one that you will not be able to put down.

Another great read for PJ Fiala. It has everything u need from heat, action, arms dealers . Lincoln is on the case and it leads him to Skye who thought she found her dream job but unwittingly wounds up in the middle of it. Can Lincoln get past his doubts to get to the truth and will Skye get her happily ever after. I love the bounty Hunters.

This book started fantastically. It grabbed my attention and I really liked the characters and the mystery. BUT unfortunately the ending just fell flat to me. The romance was there at first then poof gone into the cheesy zone. I did finish it in a day, so it’s readable but would I recommend it? No.
