Came so close to 5 stars!
What cost it a half star was one small area that seemed to jump scenes. It caused me to lose my momentum and I had to go back and reread.
The intrigue and suspense is on every page.
It definitely kept me guessing as to who was behind all the incidents.
Kept me completely involved in the story and I had a hard time putting it down for ANY reason.
I was so sure I had the traitor nailed. I was wrong!
Massive twist I did not see coming!
The flow is wonderfully fast paced. She even managed to keep hot, steamy, adult, intimate scenes spaced perfectly in the story without taking away from the intrigue and suspense.
I read this in less than 24 hours!
And I AM a slow reader!

I was not expecting any of that. The secrets uncovered in this book blew my mind. There were so many twist and turns that I practically devoured this book.
The love that Alexander and Clara have for each other shined. You could feel it in all three books, but this one Alexander learned that protecting Clara meant trusting her to handle every obstacle together. The lengths he was willing to go through for her proved how much she meant to him.
This was a pretty exciting trilogy. I'm hoping the author will do more with some of the side characters. There were a few things that can be expanded on. I’m not sure if there is going to be more in the series or not but this one doesn’t leave you with a cliffhanger.

WOW! Consume Me blew me away! I enjoyed the first two books in Royal World, but this one was really top notch! There was danger, intrigue, conspiracies, and deceit. And it was impossible to figure out who did it! I thought I had the right character more than once - but I was totally wrong.
Lee hit the ball way out of the park with this one, and I felt like the danger really made the characters rise to the occasion.
Glued to my kindle from start to finish, I can only hope there will be more books in this series in the future.

Nach dem haarsträubenden Cliffhanger in Band 9 („Royal Lies“) spitzen sich die Ereignisse hier zu.
Eine weitreichende Verschwörung ist in Gange und König Alexander weiß nicht mehr, wem er noch trauen kann.
Ganz zu schweigen davon, dass seine größte Sorge seiner Herzkönigin gilt.
Geneva Lee gelingt es sofort wieder, mit ihrem angenehmen Schreibstil, zu fesseln.
Die Geschichte ist spannend und nervenaufreibend.
Es ist, als wolle die Autorin dem Drama und der Aufregung im Königshaus die Krone aufsetzen.
Neben dem Komplott, der in einem spannungsgeladenen Höhepunkt seinen Showdown findet, wird so manch lang gehegtes und unfassbares Geheimnis offenbart.
Dieser 10. Band, um Alexander, Clara, ihrer Familie und ihren Freunden,
ist Nervenkitzel pur!
Völlig gebannt, fliegen die Seiten nur so dahin.
Dennoch fand ich manches auch einfach zu überspitzt.
10 Bücher rund um Clara, Alexander und das Königshaus und plötzlich werden Dinge über den Haufen geworfen und so manch vorangegangener Handlungsstrang einfach zunichte gemacht.
Das hat mich bestürzt und mir sogar Herzschmerz bereitet.
Mit Clara, Alexander, ihrer Familie und ihren Freunden habe ich mitgefiebert, gebangt, gehofft und geliebt.
Man sieht, wie sich die Protagonisten entwickelt haben,
und Beziehungen gewachsen und stärker geworden sind.
König Alexander und Königin Clara geben auch hier wieder ein liebevolles und ehrbares Paar ab, das einen tollen Weg zurückgelegt hat.
Die Zwei sorgen wieder für Herzklopfen und so manch gewohnt heißen Lesemoment!
Nichtsdestotrotz wirkte die Story hier mit immer neuen, übertriebenen Geheimnissen, Intrigen und Erkenntnissen hinausgezögert.
Wer düstere Machenschaften, Drama und Geheimnisse mag, wird sich hier sicher gut unterhalten fühlen!
Ich war es, trotz einiger Augenroller, definitiv!

I've been a long time fan of this series. With all the ups and downs Alexander and Clara have been through, I couldn't imagine how Consume Me was going to end.
I had the bad guy wrong, but I was left with more questions when I finished than when I started. I wanted to understand exactly why MI-18 was determined to do what it had been doing. Who was behind this agency? How and why did Norris get involved with them? And why did they decide to go after Clara now and not when she was pregnant with Elizabeth?
I was glad to see Alexander finally grow up and realize he needed to change. The scene between him and Elizabeth was such a turning point and showed just how much he had changed in the time he'd been with Clara that he could see his own mistakes and what needed to change.
I do have questions about Edward and what happens next. I'm hoping we his story in subsequent world books because he was left hanging in this one and I'm dying to see what the fallout is with him after this book.

I give this book 3.75 stars...….
I wanted to love this book. I have been following Alexander and Clara's story from the very beginning and have loved their journey. There were parts of this story that I loved. It was filled will so many twists and turns and so many secrets were revealed. And It had me on the edge of my seat. I also loved to see the vulnerability that Alexander showed in this book. I was devastated by one of events that happened. But I won't mention it because I don't want to give any spoilers.
The things I struggled with were. Somethings felt unfinished and the ending felt rushed to me. I'm hoping we will get answers in the up coming books. Because I know X and Clara's story is finished.

Ein nervenaufreibendes Finale. Ich muss gestehen, dass mich das Ende ein bisschen traurig macht. Mal sehen was Band 11 zu bieten hat.
Ich würde noch gerne viel mehr von Edward, Sarah und Anders lesen und natürlich auch über Belle und Smith.
Für mich hat sich die Reihe zu einer meiner Favoriten gemausert, anfangs war es etwas schlüpfrig, wurde aber immer komplexer in der Handlung und ohne Ende spannend. Keine glänzenden Helden, jeder hat seinen Rucksack zu tragen und das macht alle Protagonisten und Nebencharaktere sympathisch und echt.
Selbst der ominöse Feind im Hintergrund zeigt liebenswerte Züge, die den Leser irgendwie zerrissen zurücklassen.
Ich würde noch gerne viel mehr von Edward, Sarah und Anders lesen und natürlich auch über Belle und Smith.

I swear I held my breath through this entire book! Alexander and Clara’s tumultuous journey took me on one hell of a roller coaster ride of passion, intrigue, danger and love as saboteurs and wayward family members conspire to threaten all Britain holds dear. Geneva Lee is an evil genius and I can’t say enough wonderful things about the cadre of characters we have all come to know and love. Bravo!

Schreibstil:
Der Schreibstil der Autorin ist total flüssig, liest sich super und ist sehr leicht verständlich.
Charaktere:
Die Hauptprotagonistin ist Clara
Der Hauptprotagonist ist Alexander
Ich fande alle Charaktere von Anfang an total sympathisch und liebenswert. Des weiteren gibt es noch ein paar andere Charaktere. . Meiner Meinung nach sind alle Charakter sehr gelungen und haben einen sehr guten Platz im Buch bekommen.

Ehrlich gesagt, bin ich schon sehr sehr traurig, dass die Royal Saga jetzt vorbei ist :-( Ich liebe einfach die Welt rund um Alexander und Clara. Die zwei sind so authentische und sympathische Charaktere.. Das Buch war alles andere als Langweilig. Für mich persönlich war es überhaupt nicht vorhersehbar, wer hinter dem Komplott stecken könnte. Habe ja mit vielem gerechnet, aber nicht mit das was passiert ist. Aber das müsst ihr schon selbst lesen ;-) Desweiteren bin ich sehr gespannt, ob das wirklich der letzte Teil der Reihe ist oder ob es vielleicht nicht doch nicht irgendwann mal weiter geht. Das Buch war echt voller Überraschungen und Wendungen, deshalb war es für mich auch sehr spannend zu lesen. Ich konnte es echt nicht aus der Hand lesen und musste wissen, wer hinter dem Komplott steht. Zum Glück wurde ich nicht enttäuscht, ganz im Gegenteil. Mir hat es richtig gut gefallen. Es hat mega viel Spaß gemacht, das Buch zu lesen. Deshalb bekommen Alexander und Clara auch von mir sehr verdiente 5 Sterne und eine klare Leseempfehlung.

Ich fande alle Charaktere von Anfang an total sympathisch und liebenswert. Des weiteren gibt es noch ein paar andere Charaktere. . Meiner Meinung nach sind alle Charakter sehr gelungen und haben einen sehr guten Platz im Buch bekommen.

Ehrlich gesagt, bin ich schon sehr sehr traurig, dass die Royal Saga jetzt vorbei ist :-( Ich liebe einfach die Welt rund um Alexander und Clara. Die zwei sind so authentische und sympathische Charaktere.. Das Buch war alles andere als Langweilig. Für mich persönlich war es überhaupt nicht vorhersehbar, wer hinter dem Komplott stecken könnte. Habe ja mit vielem gerechnet, aber nicht mit das was passiert ist. Aber das müsst ihr schon selbst lesen ;-) Desweiteren bin ich sehr gespannt, ob das wirklich der letzte Teil der Reihe ist oder ob es vielleicht nicht doch nicht irgendwann mal weiter geht. Das Buch war echt voller Überraschungen und Wendungen, deshalb war es für mich auch sehr spannend zu lesen. Ich konnte es echt nicht aus der Hand lesen und musste wissen, wer hinter dem Komplott steht. Zum Glück wurde ich nicht enttäuscht, ganz im Gegenteil. Mir hat es richtig gut gefallen. Es hat mega viel Spaß gemacht, das Buch zu lesen. Deshalb bekommen Alexander und Clara auch von mir sehr verdiente 5 Sterne und eine klare Leseempfehlung.

MEINE MEINUNG:
Nun ist auch endlich der zehnte und somit voraussichtlich finale Band, der Royal Saga von Geneva Lee erschienen. Nachdem der neunte Band der Reihe mich absolut fassungslos zurückgelassen hat, konnte ich es gar nicht erwarten es zu lesen und habe es daher, kaum dass ich das Buch in den Händen hielt, in einem Rutsch durchgelesen.
Der Schreibstil der Autorin war auch in diesem Band, wie gewohnt locker und angenehm zu lesen. Ich hatte einen sehr guten Lesefluss und finde es sehr gut, dass im Gegensatz zu den ersten Bänden nicht nur aus Claras Perspektive erzählt wird. So wird das ganze noch viel spannender.
Über Clara kann man auf jeden Fall sagen, dass sie nicht mehr die Person ist, die sie zu Anfang der Reihe war. Ihre Naivität, was den Königshof angeht ist gänzlich verfolgen und es war einfach toll zu sehen wie sie sich weiterentwickelt.
Alexander hat auch eine kleine Veränderung durchgemacht, auch wenn er dabei an seiner Person als verschlossenen Einzelgänger festgehalten hat. Doch gerade in Claras Nähe bekommt man doch einige tiefere Einblicke in seine Persönlichkeit.
Die Handlung in diesem Band war wirklich mehr als fesselnd. Zu sagen, dass es spannend war ist noch untertrieben, denn ich konnte das Buch nicht aus der Hand legen und habe die ganze Zeit der Auflösung des ganzen entgegengefiebert. Diese hat mich dann auch absolut unerwartet getroffen und es gab einen Plottwist, mit dem ich niemals gerechnet hätte. Clara und Alexander haben auf jeden Fall ein würdiges Finale erhalten!

Der letzte Band der Reihe hat mich wirklich mehr als umgehauen. Ich habe durchgehend mitgefiebert und war das ein oder andere Mal sehr überrascht. Trotz der vielen Bände, hätte ich nichts gegen eine weitere Fortsetzung, um auch noch meine letzten Fragen aufzuklären.

Three POV (James Norris, Alexander, & Clara). This is book 10 of the continuing Royals Saga/World. The low score is based on the fact that in 228 pages there were 58 typos (none of those are based on the British spelling vs the American spelling). For the high price of the book it should be error free. If the price was lower and there were less than 5 errors it would definitely have been a 5 star rating. While it doesn't end on a cliffhanger there are still lots of unanswered questions and the author intends on continuing to write in this "world" with no specified number of upcoming books. Trigger warnings: abduction and murder.
Clara was abducted by members of MI-18, aided by David (Edward's husband) & Hammond (the family jeweler, introduced Alexander to the BDSM community, was a father of sorts to Smith & Georgia, was involved in the conspiracy that ended Alexander's father's life, & had formerly been announced as deceased). Sarah is questioned extensively about her 10 years apart from their family, where she reveals she was awake the entire time. We quickly learn that James Norris (the head of Alexander's security & his close personal advisor) is also alive and later learn that he is Sarah & Edward's biological father. David meets with Clara to reveal he's a member of MI-18 and the plan to steal her baby. David is first shot by James Norris then shot later by Alexander. Rachel (the other captive with Clara) is found poisoned to death. Clara & James Norris are rescued and flown directly to the hospital where Clara gives birth to her son, William. William is soon taken into surgery to repair his heart valve. James Norris tells Alexander he is Sarah & Edward's father. Alexander tells Edward he killed David and David was involved in Clara's abduction and captivity. Edward leaves quietly and still hasn't spoken to either Alexander or Clara by the end of the book. Alexander considers abdication but decides to fight instead. JP

Geneva Lee has left me literally speechless with shock and horror in Consume Me! In last two books she created this intricate and complex web of lies, conspiracy and betrayal . And all the puzzle pieces needed to fall into place perfectly in Consume Me. And she has outdone herself. Alexander and Clara's epic, sensual and intense modern day fairytale was absolutely brilliant.
This story has some absolutely devastating revelations that I couldn't guess at all. Queen Clara has been taken away by an unknown group and Alexander is doing everything in his power to get her back. But the clock is ticking and they have everything precious on line. The corridors of power of British Monarchy and Parliament is full of merciless and cruel people who will stop at nothing to take Alexander down. And you won't even imagine who will be exposed as true enemy of the crown. The all consuming and soul deep love has been expressed through the unfathomable pain this couple suffered.
Consume Me by Geneva Lee is the epitome of romantic thriller. The adrenaline rush kept me on the edge of my seat all thorough the story. It was intoxicating, captivating and sensational storytelling!

Since their first encounter, Clara and Alexander have been consumed by each other; initially, it was the way that their bodies seemed made for one another. It was the way they reveled in taking each other to the edge, pushing past what some might deem appropriate for a prince and his lover, but it’s what made them both feel alive…made them come undone in ways that neither understood, but nonetheless consumed them.
Through secrets and lies, through times of trials and time spent apart, Clara and X have held onto their want and need for each other, so much so, that even though they probably should have never began a relationship, should have gone their separate ways when it was clear that the path X was headed was one that would change the dynamics of his entire life, should have listened to the warnings and heeded the advice of their closest confidants to lead with their heads instead of their hearts, these two held on to their love for one another, to the fact that their choice would always be each other regardless of the difficulties that would come their way, and those who have been with the King and his Queen since book one know what this couple has surmounted and conquered to remain together.
Clara and Alexander have had to endure a litany of complications in their time together - assassination attempts, underhanded traitors and enemies, X’s half-truths and outright lies, but through it all, what has always remained is their all-consuming love, and with the circumstances they find themselves in when Consume Me begins, they both are going to need to hold to the love that they share to the bond that never waivers in order to find their back to each other without losing those they love and bringing down those who are against them, even when they were supposed to stand by their side.
In order to solve the missing pieces that Clara and Alexander are separately confronted with, they’re going to have to rely on themselves, those closest to them, which is not many considering they’ve been betrayed by someone from within, and the intangible bond they share, even when they’re in life or death situations of more people than just themselves. And, as the deception of those around the King and Queen is slowly revealed and the puzzle pieces of just how far back this vendetta against the crown goes, Clara proves just how strong and stubborn she is by refusing to give up, even when things seem hopeless, and Alexander proves that he’s willing to do anything and everything to get Clara back, even if that means going against the dictates and laws of his country.
There’s a lot for Geneva Lee to resolve in Clara and Alexander’s final book, and Lee crafts her characters’ journey brilliantly throughout most of the pages of Consume Me. The pace and flow of the storyline fit the plot’s events and amps up the suspense and intrigue as secrets are exposed and the main players involved in the crimes against the crown are exposed. And even though Clara and Alexander are not together throughout much of the story, their love and passion for one another are stronger than ever, and it truly feels like that’s the only thing that keeps them both moving forward, working to find their way back to each other. The one aspect of the story line that I would have liked to see more developed or perhaps just explained in more concrete terms deals with the people who deceived them while remaining in plain sight. Those revelations felt a bit rushed and not completely unraveled by the time the story ended, which left me with quite a few unanswered questions that I would have liked to be able to wrap my head around and thoroughly understand why those individuals made the choices that they did despite how they portrayed themselves throughout the series.
The one idea that I kept coming back to as Clara and Alexander’s story winded down was that at the heart of this Royal World is the love that these two characters share because it’s an all-consuming love - one that is bound and determined to weather every storm and surmount every obstacle, and that’s exactly what I look for when I read a romance series, especially one as long as Clara and Alexander’s story has been.

This was the first set that I read by Geneva Lee and I totally fell in love with Clara and X. At the end of the last book I was left gasping and in total shock at the way events had spun out and I can tell you that this one picks up marvellously!
Synopsis:
Clara is gone and X has to get her back at any cost! He knows it’s all happening because of his position and he can’t get over the fact that they’re targeting his family... because without Clara there’s no life for him.
Clara is alive but completely confused over what exactly is happening and more than anything, she just wants her baby to be safe. She hasn’t told C about the baby’s condition and now it seems she left it too late!
Will he find her in time? A fast paced story filled with intriguing characters and suspense that makes you want to know everything NOW!
Review:
The whole royal family is unsettled and that confusion and detail is beautifully conveyed through the writing. You can feel that breathless expectation and the feeling that something major is about to blow up (yea like kidnapping the queen wasn’t major enough!!!!) It is a book that is fast but doesn’t leave out the details and the only reason I felt it was not a 5 star read is because at some points I felt like the connection in the book was a bit off.
My favourite part is the fact that Geneva Lee stuns us with another set of unexpected twists and turns that really made me cringe.... I mean what a BETRAYAL!!!!! I still can’t get over it and totally plan to reread the series again soon! I read it in a single sitting and just couldn’t put the book down because every time I thought of doing that something unexpected happened and it was a ‘one more chapter’ situation!
The chemistry between the couple is amazing as always even though they’re separated. And the characterisation is one of the key reasons I love this book... everyone remains true to their role. A perfect blend of intrigue, drama, action and love! I’d definitely recommend this one to everyone!

This latest installment in the Royals World series, is truly a masterpiece. Consume Me has so much going on and yet it is wrote with such ease and will definitely consume each reader, to wanting this story to never end. Loss. Betrayal. Traitors. Love. Family. Strength.
I was dreading this story to continue, with how the last one ended. However, I came to terms that in order for characters to grow, there has to be loss. While lives do hang in the balance, that is not the only thing that is lost along the way. The haunting words, From Within, hang in the readers mind throughout the story, foreshadowing the worst kind of betrayal, that no one could see coming. I guess that is why Geneva Lee is the Queen, she builds up her readers interest and then, makes our hearts bleed for the characters that are shattered from the secrets that are unveiled. Traitors are not uncommon in Royal history and they often come by people that we keep close, I guess that is why they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer-only how do you determine the difference, that is something all the characters will have to learn! While Consume Me is thrilling and emotional, Geneva elegantly stitches in love, and how you never truly lose it, you just simply have to look for it in different forms. These books are built upon Alexander and Clara's love. It is their love that has brought all of the pieces on the chess board together, and it will be their love that will mend the family and give strength back to the people of England! Long live the King, Long live the Queen!

OH MY EVER LOVIN' HELL! I NEVER SAW ANY OF THAT COMING! Consume Me is the 3rd book in the Royal World series, so YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST READ IN ORDER Cross Me (Book 1), and Claim Me (Book 2)! All I want to do is tell every last detail about this story, but I cannot as I don't believe in spoilers, and for anyone who hasn't read the previous books, if I even give any sort of description, it could be spoilers for those books. Each book leading up to this book has been layers upon layers of questions, and OMG, those questions have been answered, but not easily at all. For each question answered, 20 more popped up until I thought my brain was going to explode, all the way up to the finale, and I can honestly say I didn't suspect a thing leading up to it. I was so damn shocked that no f-bombs were even dropped at that point, and that's saying something. There's one thing that has been constant throughout this series, and that's the love that X had for his Queen, Clara. I don't want to be over, and I almost feel like the brilliant Geneva Lee left the door open for more with some of the secondaries at this point, hell, even Alexander & Clara could have some more to their story with the way it ended. What an EPIC journey it's been, and all that's left to do is HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

Wow. I have no idea why it took me so long long to read this but I’m glad I finally did, I was amazing. Hot on the ending of Claim Me, life for Alexander and Clara is crazier then ever. With secrets threatening their royal lives Alexander is put to ultimate test when Clara goes missing.
Set in 3 different point of views it gives a very in depth look into Alexander’s far over losing his wife, his queen. Those who clearly have it out for him, the lengths he’ll go to to find Clara and his unborn baby and of course royal secrets.
For Clara, the kidnapping and subsequent days that follow, that will have you holding your breath. Her incredible strength, her love for X and the ends she will go to to save not only her life but the baby she knows needs so much help. Her ordeal is raw and rough… it was sometimes hard to read the words, but I couldn’t put it down.
Thirdly, Norris, the man Alexander and Clara always looked up to. His kidnapping at the same time as Clara, showed his huge dare and love for the royal family. Through lies and hardest truths, he pushes his own limits to find not only the truth, but Clara and return her to the life’s the palace.
There won’t be page that doesn’t have you gasping, questioning, fearful, and laughing…. it’s got it all!

Finally! My first 5* book for 2019. You MUST READ the first two books in this series before reading this one. You'll be completely lost with all the players and what's happening if you don't.
The first two books Cross Me & Claim Me were alright. I pushed through the first. Got hooked in the second and was in tears in the third. If you read my reviews you know I rarely cry over books. It takes a lot to move me in that direction.
Consume Me though. It's a kicker. Maybe it's because the Queen is an expecting mom. Maybe it was from the emotion her husband, the King, emitted while searching for his missing wife. Or the overwhelming fear she had to protect her unborn child to save him from the monsters.
Whatever it was - probably the combination of all the above - did me in. You might not have the same reaction, and that's fine. I just felt these characters in this particular book like I hadn't before in the previous books or any other book this year.
If you choose to pick up this series. I hope you enjoy Alexander and Clara.

Consume Me was filled with heart throbbing suspense entwined in the ultimate love story. Consume Me's story begins after Clara has been forcefully taken and the grandmother of the King has been murdered. Clara is being held against her will as she awaits the arrival of the newest Royal family member. Clara soon realizes that those that have taken her are only concerned for the health of the baby. She must, while in captivity, devise a plan, if she can, to get herself and her baby freed without any harm to either of them. While she is being held, Clara learns of betrayals that have been planted and have been growing for years. While we see Clara fighting for her baby and the return to her family, Alexander is frantically trying to piece together the abduction and find those that are behind it. Some unwanted alliances need to be made in order to gather information that helps to find his Queen. Alexander, Price, Brex and Georgia race against time to find Clara. Once they do, many decisions need to be made about the Royal families future.
This is a must read!

Je suis fan depuis le début de la saga Royal de Geneva Lee et les trois premiers tomes de la saga Royal World ne cessent de m'étonner . Comme je vous l'avais dit pour le précédent tome , Claim Me, j'ai adoré le fait que le côté érotique soit mis de côté pour laisser la place au suspense . Ce tome est un véritable coup de cœur et chaque chapitre nous réserve surprises après surprises et on ne peut que trembler en attendant la révélation finale .
je me suis régalée avec ce nouveau tome qui nous offre des rebondissements incroyables. Geneva Lee va de nouveau jouer avec nos nerfs et il faudra déterminer qui aura le dernier mot dans cette partie d'échecs où le Roi et la Reine vont courir milles dangers. La saga Royal World n'est pas terminée et je suis ravie de savoir qu'on pourra les retrouver prochainement.

Just finished reading Consume Me, and I must say I was in shock for a while there!
I have been following these characters for some years now and I have learned to love and hate them.I said a long ago that Geneva Lee is the Queen of teasing. She's playing with our hearts and minds, that's for sure!
And this new twist that she ever so kindly shared with us (half way in this book), I never suspected a thing! Brilliantly cruel maybe.
Consume Me is the third book in the new Royal World series, which happens right after the 7th Royals Saga book, Complete Me, ends.
What I loved the most about these three new books set in The Royal World is that Clara and X grew in theie relationship. They got stronger for each book and learned that they had to trust one another to be able to grow together.
I loved all the twists and turnes, I love hoe Geneva managed to surprise us all in so many new ways.
I can't wait for new Royal World adventures in the future.

This story world keeps getting deeper and sucking me in with each book! In particular, this book gave us a big secret drop and questions about the fallout that I am dying to get answered! This book picks up right at the end of the last one in which Clara is kidnapped and Norris is shot. It gives us some revealed secrets about Clara, Norris, Sarah, and a few other royal family members that I completely didn’t see coming, and ends on a happy note with the arrival of the newest royal baby. Spoiler alert – my jaw was constantly dropping throughout reading this book and I’m pretty sure I still haven’t picked it up! Per usual, Geneva gives us some answers but really leaves us with more questions at the end of this book, and the anticipation for the next royal book is so high!

Consume Me by Geneva Lee is the third book in the Royal World series. It cannot be read as a stand-alone, so you’ll need to read the other books first. All I can say is WOW!! I was not expecting that at all! Seriously what a crazy ride! Consume Me was filled with so much drama and angst but it was sooo good. I had no idea who was behind everything that was happening and it was KILLING me.
Clara and X have had to deal with so much! Assasinations, traitors...they’ve dealt with all of it-knowing that their love was worth it. But in Consume Me, their love will need to see them through...will it be strong enough?
This book was an enjoyable read. It flowed well, kept me guessing until the end, and had such fantastic, multifaceted characters. Geneva Lee is a gifted storyteller and I am looking forward to reading more from her!

I'm trying REALLY hard not to spill the proverbial beans here because, like I say again and again, not everyone appreciates details being mentioned in a review that come off as spoilers. I love that things between X and Clara were resolved. I appreciated that X had the sort of character development that felt like it was a long time coming, and that Clara came to certain realizations, as is usually the case when your life flashes before you. I do, however, feel like that there are a number of things that aren't fully resolved. I can't really go into them here, but if you've read the book, you may have an idea of what I'm talking about. I'm also wondering whose story could be up next in the series, and if it's who I'm hoping it'll be, then I'll be a really happy camper. I'm giving Consume Me four stars. ♥

Wow, what a ride!
This 3rd novel in the Royal World of Alexander and Clara was a different ride then what we are used to with them. It was an awesome book! But wow was it hard to read in places because of the suspense! The ups and downs of the characters were intense, and it truly kept you on the edge of your seat wondering what was happening next. Thank you Geneva Lee for yet another incredible novel in the world of Alexander, Clara and friends who we have all grown to love. I sincerely hope that there is more to come because I can't wait to read it. I would recommend this novel 100%, but I really suggest starting at the very beginning of their story if you haven't started it yet. From then to now, it's such a fascinating journey that I am so happy I had the pleasure to experience with these characters!
