bigger, badder, and more beautiful than ever.

Ozzy Page has it all—fame, fans, and a fortune too massive to spend. As keyboard player for renowned rock group Licks of Leather, he’s on top of the charts—and the world. Seven years after their devastating breakup, watching her rise up the charts—on her new rock star lover’s back—has nearly destroyed his heart all over again.

Mia Harris didn’t curl up and die when Ozzy Page chose his career over their love. Like her namesake, she rose from the ashes and reinvented herself as Phoenix, the sultry-voiced siren taking the male-dominated rock scene by storm. Will they finally learn to understand and forgive each other…or will their unforgettable longing end in flames?

One step forward, two steps back....

Everyone makes mistakes in their lives. No one is perfect, but Ozzy Page made one that was unforgiveable, he let the one person he loved slip through his fingers. Mia Harris was beautiful, fierce and a talent that does not come along very often. Seven years ago Ozzy made a decision of career over love that forever changed both of their lives.

Ozzy and Mia have once again crossed paths, but they are older and different people now. Both have experienced heartache and do not know if the feelings they had for each other years ago are still there, or will ever be the same again. Their sexual chemistry has not diminished, but Mia wants more than a just friends with benefits relationship.

Mistakes are always forgivable if one has the courage to admit them. They both need to work through the darkness of the past and really see each other and make that person their priority. A wonderful story of a couple finding each other and what is true. They both had to learn to judge the heart and not the mistakes.

Ozzy and Mia just rocked my world, in a good way. Both of them have made mistakes in the past that tore them apart but seven years later, they are thrown back together. Ozzy always regretted letting her go but at the time, it seemed the right thing to do. Both Ozzy an Mia are stubborn and headstrong so how is this going to work now? The emotions in this story were over the top and you can feel them all. The chemistry between them is still as strong as ever but secrets and rumors get in the way and words are hard to say when you don't know the truth. Considering their past, I was wondering how these two would ever get back together but Jenna Jacob knew just what to do with them!! LOL The whole story is beautifully written and I stayed up late reading this. Wonderful story and now......on to the next guy!!!

This is the third book in the Licks of Leather and it is Ozzy and Mia’s story. They were ships that passed in the night long ago when Ozzy made a huge mistake and let the woman he loved go. Mia was an aspiring musical artist, talented and a force to be reckoned with in a male dominated industry. Fast forward seven years and Ozzy and Mia are older and thrust back together for The Grammys and a subsequent six-month tour. Are the feelings that they had for each other still there? Can they work through the issues of the past and forgive the mistakes made? This is a well written storyline that gives readers a look at how far people are willing to go to find their truth. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

This is book 3 in the series, another 5+star review.
Book 1 Rock Me Longer
Book 2 Rock Me Harder
OMG!! Ozzy and Mia's story is an emotional rollercoaster. He's the hot rocker in the band Licks of Leather, she's the newby just starting her musical career, he chose his career over their relationship and her.
Fast Forward 7 years...
She's reinvented herself and her musical solo career as "The Phoenix" and has just been signed to be the opening act for 6 months to the Lick of Leather tour....
Will they rekindle or kill each other? Can they admit their feelings for each other or will heartache and fear and pride get in the way? This is the last book in the 3 book series but I hope there is a book 4, MORE PLEASE!!!

Wow! Get ready for the emotion coaster to take you on one heckuva ride!! I mean, dang!! Ozzy, he’s all hot and quiet, normally, but his past love Mia (aka Phoenix, aka new touring opening act) brings out the hurt, angry, bitter side to him. Emphasis on hurt. Mia, also bitter, angry, and devastatingly hurt, tries to face her past while getting ready for an amazing new future. What ensues is a lot of secrets being revealed, some brutal heartache, and some heartfelt healing. There was also some hot & sexy moments that will make you wanna fan yourself 🔥🔥🔥. These Licks of Leather guys are heartbreakers through & through!!! 😍. Can’t wait for the next one!!!

Rocking

Another hit from Jenna Jacobs especially with this series. The Licks of Leather band members are great. Each story is fantastic. Again i could not put this book down until I finished and then I was hoping for the next book in the series. Ozzy and Mia’s story is a great second chance love story and you can’t help root for them and wait to see what made them break up before and what really happened. I can’t wait for more from Jenna Jacobs and the Licks of leather band.

Rock Me Slower is a journey full of complex emotions. Jenna Jacob did a great job of portraying her characters’ thoughts, feelings, and interactions. Ozzy and Mia’s story is a beautiful one. I could not put it down. The members of Licks of Leather rally around each other, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

**UPDATE** after finally finishing the series, and getting the answer to the question I posed below about the sub-plot, I'm updating this to 4 stars since I got all my answers lol

Got this little jem as a freebie and was more than ready to continue on with the bad boys of Licks after having read the first two in the series. Like Rock Me Longer, Slower is a story about past lovers reuniting, secrets (of course), and a HAE once the two most stubborn people in the world finally figure it out lol

Enjoyed reading about these two stubborn headed, music loving, lovebirds. Mia and Ozzy hooked up years ago and had an amazing connection, but when Ozzy thinks she's using him to get ahead in the music business and she turns to the one person he says not to, they break up and don't see each other until the Grammys and discover that Mia will be the opening act of Licks' new tour. This one, as the others, have a touching story which made each character the way they are, and you feel your heartstrings being pulled.

There was one lingering question that I don't remember be answered - Ozzy learns of a hidden past which hurt Mia, and it's hinted that he wants to solve the problem so she doesn't have to worry about it coming to haunt her and he makes a phone call. However, I don't remember that particular plot line coming to a close. It's not a vital to the story, and honestly I'd forgotten about it until I started writing this review. But now I'm a little "Oh, I need to know what happened there!" Maybe Ms. Jacob is waiting to solve that mini-conflict in the next book - I guess I'll just have to find out!

This book rocked my world in the best way possible!

The third installment in the "Licks of Leather" series, this book focuses on keyboardist Ozzy Page and Mia (also known by her stage name, Phoenix). Ozzy and Mia once had an incredible connection and while it was not an amicable break-up, both thought their relationship was firmly in the past. However, when their manager announces an upcoming tour with Phoenix opening for Licks of Leather, these two are thrown back into each others' lives. It turns out that neither has truly gotten over the other, although there are a lot of obstacles to overcome. I loved Ozzy and Mia's story!

As I've stated in my other reviews of this series, part of what makes these books so great is all of the secondary characters. The author does a fantastic job of integrating all members of the band and their partners and each has such a unique voice. The banter between the bandmates is phenomenal, too, and I always end up laughing out loud. Highly recommend this series to any romance fans and especially those who love dirty-talking rock stars!

They say you can't go back and change the past, you can only learn from it. But in seven years since Mia and Ozzy had been apart there has been lots of time for assumptions, blame assigning and misinterpretation of events. It's easy to jump to conclusions when you don't have both sides of the story. She has her secrets, knows she's made bad choices and has paid for them. He let her go and all he had left was his anger and hurt. Time for a reality check because for better or worse they will be touring together. Maybe, just maybe they can find their way back to what they once had or at the very least be friends.

Jenna Jacob has created some remarkable characters for the Licks of Leather series. Then she wraps each of the bandmates into their own wonderful love story. It's not all sunshine and rose's. Lots of deep emotions are at play and there's just enough suspense to keep things interesting.

When two rockstars fall for each other place clear the room...you don't know what is next.

Oz and Mia had a past that included physical and emotional bonding. But something went wrong. Both to stubborn to talk about it they are thrust into a tour. Ozzy's bandmates know enough to try to keep Oz under control when it comes to Mia, but it isn't happening
There is so much intense history, lust, unbridled pain...unspoken pain. Mia and Oz need to face each other with the truth...but when the truth comes out can they survive? Hotness, conflict, lust...and truth. Jenna makes you think in this one and wonder. This book not for the weak heart.

The third book in the series, but you can read and flowwow the story if you haven’t read the other book in the series. off course it is more fun to read all of them.

This is the story of keyboard player Ozzie and his Mia. It is an explosive story with two people who are filled with so much emotions and buried feelings, but don’t always have to best way to express them. That lead to a lot of interesting scenes.

Both of them are a stubborn and I wanted to knock their heads together at times.

This book was ok and it took me more then a day to read. Ozzy & Mia had a history and while she had no problem telling him how she felt or how much he hurt her, he was a tool. Yeah he’d missed her for seven long years but he acted like it was just sex. This book wasn’t romantic and they just kept falling into bed together and Ozzy would say it didn’t mean anything. I still recommend this book and I’ll just hope the next book which is about Ross is better. Even though I don’t know why I think Syd’s story is going to be the really interesting one.

This book was hotter than hot. I absolutely loved Ozzy and Mia. Their story was so good. And their chemistry could have blew up the pages. Mia is so strong and yet adorable. I loved how everything worked out in the end. No one can write these books the way Jenna does. Her characters are out of this world. Her words are smart and funny and believable and the way she weaves everything together makes for one fantastic book. You will not be disappointed.

Another riveting installment in the Licks of Leather series. Mia and Oz loved each other once, but the desire for success got in the way. Now, seven years later, they are thrown together and forced to face their guilt and regret. Can they work through their pain to find the love they once had?
Loved the Chemistry between Mia and Oz! They fought with as much passion as they loved. Well done Jenna, well done!

OMG I could not put this book down!

A beautiful story of two people who broke each other. Can Mia and Ozzy find peace and love again while the past tries to destroy them? Will their stubbornness destroy them or save them? Ozzy's bandmate Lick and Leathers try to help Ozzy when they find out his old flame is joining the tour. Phoenix is an upcoming star who was destroyed when they broke up. A must read!

I loved every bit of this story. I mean I wish her friend didn't die and I wish for a bigger ending but I really loved it alot. The author did an amazing job letting, you feel the feeling of Mia and what had happened to her. I had some teary parts. I'm so glad for the HEA. I loved them together. I wish we would of got an epilog for down the road tho. Thanks for the great story. I think anyone will enjoy this.

This is the third book in the Licks of Leather and it is Ozzy Page and Mia Harris’ story this time around. This second chance romance is packed with love, lust, angst, and seven years of hurt.

Quinn MacKinnon (owner of Fusion Productions, as well as promoter/agent) has just announced that Mia Harris, aka Phoenix, has just landed the gig of opening for Licks of Leather during their next tour.

Ozzy Page is seeing red after that announcement and is not happy with this announcement. What Quinn doesn’t know (or maybe he does that sneaky bas…) is that Mia and Ozzy have a past; a past of pain and hurt.

Can these two stubborn, bull-headed people open up and clear the air? Can they put the past behind? Will it be a life of hell on the tour bus for the next 6 months?

I loved this story and the road that these two haven taken to get where they are today. The only thing I was disappointed by – I wanted to see the conflict between Zattman and Ozzy play out. Maybe this situation will be “aired” out in one of the last two books in the series.

The Licks of Leather band members are:
Ross Walker, Drummer
Syd Wilson, Bass player
Darren Ash, Lead guitarist
Ozzy Page, Keyboard player
Burk Jennings, Vocalist

A rock star reunion! With book three in her Licks of Leather series Jenna Jacobs brings us the secrets behind Ozzy's angst in ROCK ME SLOWER. I'm loving getting to know the guys of this band and Ozzy has always been intriguing, so hearing about the past that won't let him go is attention grabbing from the start. The ending was a bit abrupt, but I enjoyed their story a lot.

Ozzy Page grabs a reader's heart quickly when we realize the pain he's been holding near and dear to his heart for the years since he walked away from his one true love. He might be living a rock stars dream, but his heart hasn't forgotten what it once had.

Mia Harris is hard to pin down at first. We sort of like her, but we don't think much of her attitude in how it all ended with Ozzy, but then we start to learn some of her background and she starts to redeem herself somewhat.

I recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys watching a low key rock n roll band overlook their stardom to accept love with open arms when it crosses their path. These characters are endearing and I'm looking forward to more to come.

Trigger warning: this book contains retellings of traumatic scenes that depict sexual assault, suicide, kidnapping, and torture.

And unfortunately the scenes aren't written with a lot of respect or sensitivity for the victims. They are just...written. Just words on a page.

I also wasn't a fan of the descriptors used during the sex scenes.

What I did like about the story was the overall storyline, the chemistry between Mia and Ozzy, and Mia's badass self preservation and self defense. Even if it came out of a traumatic place. I also liked Ozzy's protective nature. It came from an altruistic place.

Ozzy and Mia's story is about learning to forgive; each other and themselves. Thiers is a tortured love. A flame that was never really extinguished. He saw her as a ladder climber and she saw him as arrogant and selfish.

When they are forced to coexist in a hideaway procured by Quinn, they are also forced to see the passion still burns and to finally out their secrets and face some hard truths.

I am so enjoying all of these Bad Boys and their take-no-parishioners ladies! While I can't decide which one I love more, Ozzy is definitely in the running for top spot! Jenna, you keep cranking out the hits and I will tag along for the tour. ;)

In the third book of the Rock Me Series, Jenna Jacob brings us another wonderful Rock and Roll romance. It has the spice and humor that makes this series so much fun to read. I would be doing This book a disservice if I didn’t mention that it talks about sexual assault of women and minors, and suicide. These subjects make this book both thought provoking and heartbreaking.
I just loved this book!
