I appreciate the introduction to Sijo poetry.

I grew up writing and reading poetry with my mom so it holds a special place in my heart. I never pass up the opportunity to read some poetry. This is a pretty short read as it’s a relatively small collection of poems by Seth Seong. He has a pretty eclectic set of poems that cover a number of different subjects and styles. He paints pictures with his words and they slide like silk through your mind. I genuinely enjoyed reading most of the poems in this book. There are a couple I wasn’t particularly drawn too but that’s okay they were still well written and intriguing. I really enjoyed The Courier, it is a beautiful poem. I also enjoyed the introduction to Sijo. I had never heard of it before so I found it very interesting and look forward to exploring it more in depth. I look forward to reading more from Seth Seong.
