On the run from the mate who poisoned and nearly killed him, omega Khory Landry finds unexpected support from a lawyer with influential friends. The entire Danvers clan promises to keep Khory safe and help him press charges—especially eldest son Aeron.
After screwing up big time as a teenager, alpha Aeron Danvers has a plan: finish university, attend the constabulary academy, and become a decorated constable. His plans don’t include feelings for a pregnant omega mated to a dangerous con man. Khory has enough stress without worrying about Aeron’s unexpected feelings for him. The friendship Khory offers has to be enough.
While his lawyer fights Khory’s legal battles, Aeron and Khory fight their blossoming attraction to each other. When Khory’s mate shows up and tries to force him home, Aeron will have to step up or risk losing Khory for good.
A slow-burn, friends-to-lovers romance, HEAR ME is the third book in the “Finding Free” omegaverse series, which is a spin-off of the fan-favorite “Breaking Free” series. This is an original universe featuring mpreg, A/B/O dynamics, heats, knotting and an alpha-dominated society that is starting to see advances in omega rights. Content warnings for dark themes apply.
No stranger to the writing world, A.M. Arthur has been creating stories in her head since she was a child and scribbling them down nearly as long. She credits an early fascination with male friendships (bromance wasn't a thing yet) with her later discovery of and subsequent affair with m/m romance stories. When not writing, she can be found in her kitchen, pretending she's an amateur chef and trying to not poison herself or others with her cuisine experiments. Another good story in the series. Not as angst-ridden as some of them and Aeron and Khory have a nice, slow-build to their romance. Plenty of appearances by the other kids and quite a surprise from one couple. I'm really looking forward to the next book!
The last book was kind of left in a cliffhanger and this one opens exactly the way book 2 ends. And it’s like the others. So, so goood and so, so much of a tearjerker. I’ve loved this spinoff of the kids so much. And I love how much they’ve grown. They’ve had such wonderful influences, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t come without problems. In this one, we meet one of the last of the children that came from the fight ring omegas. Khory’s omegin died in birth and was given to the betas that took care of his omegin. But life since then seems to have just started spiraling. He loved his parents, but losing them to an accident that scarred him, also left him devastated. Then having to move to an omega house, feeling like you’re constantly being passed over. And he was. Because heaven forbid someone want someone with a few scars. But then he met an alpha who seemed perfect. Until he decided to find out about his past and it went to hell from there. Leaving Khory to have to run at 8 months pregnant. And into a group of people he didn’t know and not knowing if they would hurt him as well. But just as he’s finally starting to feel at home and maybe finally a place for himself, his old alpha tries to make him come back and things are very scary for a bit. It’s up to Aeron and all the others to help Khory or Khory may not make it out alive. I remember at the end of book 2, I was in such shock. I couldn’t believe we had basically just found the last of the children for the omega fight ring. This one was a harder one to a point though. All the omegas have been through their own personal hell with that ring and everything that came from it, but knowing Khory didn’t even get to know his omega, was so disheartening. Because Khory’s omega was a sweet guy. The problem was, all this was bringing up old resentments for Aeron as well and how he’s tried to deal with the betrayal of being adopted himself. And if it weren’t for how things had went with his adoptive parents and stuff, he would probably never know his own omega. That he does know and has gotten to know his omega, he’s grateful for, but it’s still a sore subject. Point being, as much as the original omegas have all had their own problems to overcome from the hells they endured, and the fighting of laws to get to where they are today, it’s also been just as hellish for the children. These guys have had their own stuff they’ve had to try to overcome, from kidnapping to addictions, to attempted murders. And through all of it though, the key thing, is they’ve all had family. No matter what they’ve been through, no matter what was to come, they all bonded together as a family to overcome what has happened and what is to come. And now Khory has the same. He knows what it’s like to have family now. Even when the past tries to come back and take it from him, he still has support and the love of a family to back him now. And though life won’t always be easy, the love will always be there as will the family. I love these guys so much. And I have a feeling the next one is going to tear me up as well. I love this series.
Hear Me is the third book in A.M. Arthur’s Finding Free series, a spin off of her Breaking Free omegaverse series that focuses on the second generation of families. The story picks up just where See Me left off, so there is a lot of excitement right from the start as we hear Khory’s story and learn about his circumstances with his mate. As always with these books, there is a nice sense of found family as the Danvers clan and their friends immediately take Khory under their wing and jump in to help him. The situation with his mate is horrible and the story of what happened to him is just on the right side of crazy to work for this series. The case surrounding Khory’s mate and what happens to him and the baby plays out nicely throughout the story. Things move along with enough pace to keep the plot moving and we get an nice climax with lots of drama.
The relationship between Khory and Aeron is very much a slow burn in that they immediately become friends, but it takes them a while to move to more. Even when the guys express their feelings for one another, the physical side of things comes along pretty slowly, so this book is not nearly as sex heavy as most in these two series. There is a nice sweetness to their relationship and I liked watching their connection build, even before either man realizes there might be more.
A good story. Far more proofing issues than I've noticed in any of Arthur's other books, which was a bummer. But the story was up there with everything else A.M. does.
By this time, if you've read all of the Breaking Free and Finding Free books in the series, it is at the height of good storytelling. The two series presents a rich tapestry of storylines, family, friends, love, and mutual support. Khory Landry, known as an infant whose fight ring omegin passed away while giving birth to Khory, in the Breaking Free series. The adult survivors had lost touch with Khory early on when Khory was adopted, but now Khory is back and seeking help from the Danvers. He is pregnant and running away from a mate who tried to kill him. When Khory meets Aeron, the two are instantly drawn to each other, but mixed scents, hormones, and the confusing situation makes it unclear if they are true bond mates. This is another great love story and it's also wonderful to catch up on the entire clan.
This series is so awesome!! I loved Aeron and Khory... They fit perfectly.... The plot was amazing and I love seeing everyone all grown up! Off to the next book
Hear Me is the 3rd book in A.M. Arthur’s Finding Free series, which is a spin-off of the Breaking Free series; the latter should be read first.
Khory Landry, the child of Laine, a fight ring omega who died giving birth to him, is fleeing his alpha who tried to kill him and his unborn child. Showing up randomly on Aeron’s birthday, he begs for the help of fellow fight ring omegas to hide him. When Alpha Aeron sees Khory, he knows he is special but first things first – Khory needs help badly. On the run from his alpha, the last thing Khory needs is a romance. With the birth imminent, emotional Khory also feels a pull towards Aeron, but due to pregnancy hormones, they both are unsure of their feelings and connection - are they truly fated?
I absolutely love Aeron. For an alpha he is very calm and collected until he needs to protect someone. Although at the beginning of the book a troubled past is hinted at, we do not know the truth until closer to the end. He steps up when and where Khory needs him and he clearly loves Khory’s son as his own. I really hope to see a future book in which he and Khory have their own biological child. Despite the fact that Khory is very stressed with the situation, he loves his child. He clings to Aeron from the start and they make a very cute couple.
This is one of my favorite books of the series; I found it a little less dramatic than the others. There was just the right amount of drama to keep me reading and just the amount of fluffiness to satisfy me. I absolutely loved how Aeron stepped up from the start, caring for Khory before, during, and after the birth of his child. I look forward to hearing more from this couple in future books, since everyone intertwines so thoroughly throughout the series - every person is mentioned at least once, though at times, this can make things confusing!

At the end of See Me, A.M. Arthur left us with a pretty big cliffhanger and Hear Me gives us our answers. Khory is on the run from an abusive mate. He ends up in Sansbury because his omegin had a connection there.
The books in this series just keep getting better. You do need to read them in order but if you haven't read the Breaking Free series that this one is a spin off of, I think you will be OK because the author gives us needed key information as the story goes along.
I love how alpha Aeron Danvers has become so focused; he knows what his future holds and he's not going to let people down again. He can't quite understand his overwhelming attraction to Khory but they seem to have this bond that he can't ignore. I love the way that A.M. explains this in the story. ❤
Khory wants nothing more than to have his baby and live in peace and without fear of what his abusive mate might do. He's really attracted to Aeron but knows that he doesn't really have the right to be.
I love how slowly the romantic relationship between Aeron and Khory develops. My second favorite thing about this book is reading more about Peyton and Layne. The shocking news at the end of the epilogue just about killed me. I can't wait to read Find Me!
An advanced copy of this book was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author.
I’ve been waiting a bit impatiently for Hear Me, my curiosity was piqued when AM Arthur introduced Khory near the conclusion of See Me and his story was a roller coaster ride that I couldn’t get enough of. As much as I enjoyed seeing Khory’s character reveal himself though, it was Aeron’s evolution as he finally came to terms with some of his history & learned to trust himself that stood out to me as their bond developed. As usual for these books, I also had a few incidents where my outrage at social injustice in this universe felt almost overwhelming, but they were more than balanced out by how heartwarming some of the moments between the members of this ever-growing family felt. If this is your first journey into this world, consider starting either this series (Finding Free) or it’s predecessor, the Breaking Free books, at the beginning - while the author does provide a family list (which I’m grateful for since it grows with every new installment) and offer backstory reminders as we progress, there’s a lot of history that brought us to this point and understanding those nuances will truly make a difference in how you experience this story.
Excellent story of strength, hope and belief in self. Khory, had enough. He feared for his life, he feared for his unborn child. He finally realized his only chance for survival was to run. He had the name and address of an old friend of his deceased Omegin. He was hoping he could hid him for a bit, until he could gather himself and plot his next steps. Aeron, was finally coming into his own. He learned some life effecting news from his parent and was so traumatized, he acted out causing grave self harm. The entire family was stung and trying hard to hold it together and support Aeron. When Aeron and Khory met, they recognized each other as bondmates. There was a lot of devestating heavy baggage these two men dragged into their relationship and at each step, there are new reveals some traumatic, many challenging. The saga continues with this found family units banding together in support and love. Excellent series. The charaters are all strong survivors whose internal fortitude hold them up. This story, rips your heart with the tragedies and heals it with the love and support of family and friends. Well done!
So much to unpack here but I really loved the romance and the way these two boys supported each other. You can see this relationship really thriving. There's a lot to love in this book and I could not put it down once I started.
I also appreciated how we returned to the way Jaysan is an insecure and selfish parent. Instead of being grateful or teaching aeron to love his first parents, Jaysan hid what they were to Aeron for most of his life. The adoption is one issue- but to minimize the role of two good people, who by all accounts loved Aeron and would have been great parents, is horrific and I'm glad Aeron pays tribute to them when the person who raised him seems incapable of it.
It's unfortunate because while the author seems to pay lip service to adoption being family, it's moments like this, where no one really calls Jaysan on that, that are painful to anyone who has chosen family members.

I could really hush over this book. Not really a standalone but I highly recommend the entire series. I love getting to see the other couples past and future and witness their journey through the eyes of the current MCs and when it switches to their POV as well. This book has everything suspense, angst, love, & found family. It’s a thrilling ride! Can’t wait for the next in the series!
Poor Aeron dealt with a lot in his recent past. It broke my heart to think about what he could have been feeling then. Khory was on the run from an abusive alpha. He was determined to protect his unborn baby. They were perfect together. Aeron was a perfect aloha for Khory.
I love this universe and the characters from this series and the first series. There is always something happening. This book had it's share of drama, suspense, sweetness and love. Aeron and Khory were wonderful together. Aeron was so caring and protective, right from the start.
I always expect this books to be good. With the breaking free and finding free series, I've reached a point of one clicking new titles without reading the blurbs. Not a single one has let me down. They're all amazing, and this one was no exception. I love it!
So..So.. good. As I did with Breaking Free and now with Finding Free..I see a new release and I just download it to my Kindle. Don't both reading the blurb because I know it will be good. Thank you Ms Arthur.. .
This is one series I can’t put down, from the original series to this new one, it’s an unusual take on the omega verse theme. A great HEA storyline . Highly recommended
Khory appears on the doorstep of the Danvers in desperate need of help: his alpha has tried to kill him. As the family gathers around him to help, Aeron is determined to be there for him. After his teen years of bad decisions, Aeron is determined to show that he is more than the mistakes he has made but doesn't feel as if he can ever make up for all he did. As their friendship grows, you will fall for both of them. I love that this is a slow burn and they build a friendship before realizing they are mates. Now, I really need the next one!
