I was skeptical of this book, not gonna lie. It follows a different character, taking place at the same time as the first book. But holy crap! I thought the first book was intense, this one changed *everything* I thought I knew. And there wasn't even a lot of action! It was just all the information we were given, and all the dots we could start connecting. The story is a LOT more complicated than I initially thought. In a good way!
It follows Marie Sharp, a minor character from the first book, who works for Monroe Enterprises. So, surprise surprise, she provides a little background on how the whole "Talent" thing came about.
I'm trying really, *really* hard not to give any spoilers. There's so much I want to say.
I'll leave it at this: Just because Cameran trusted someone in the first book, doesn't mean *we* should. This series is twisty and topsy turvy, and I can't wait to read the last book.

Just as TALENTED did, GIFTED sucked me in from the very first page. MacCready does a phenomenal job changing the main character and telling the story from an entirely different perspective. When you think the story will zig, she makes it zag. I'm not going to ruin the book for you, but I'm telling you.. this books perspective will make you rethink everything you felt for some characters in TALENTED. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, MacCready does something like this! #thankful we only have to wait until fall for the final book!!! 10/10 would recommend. Read if you want your mind blown.
