ARC received for an honest review
I have really enjoyed the Cocky Suits series, however this is the one I have been wanting since the start.
And Howell and Wolf have not disappointed.
In fact, this is my favourite book in the series. Paisley and Donovan's second chance at love is one full of heartache, hurt, and sexual tension through the roof.
Donovan - man, I love this guy. Even when I hate the guy for being an arrogant a-hole. And boy, the last 10% of this story had my emotions alllll over the place.
I love the Collins brothers as much as I hate them all at times. They and their lady loves made me mad, made me sad and made me laugh out loud at times.
Paisley and Donovan are both a ruthless as each other - and all that animosity leads to some great scenes and sexy AF moments.
There is a scene that completely blindsided me. Like, I was happy and smiling one minute, and a complete emotional wreck the next. All I can say is have some tissues nearby.
I devoured this book, and can't wait for more from this duo.

We're back in Chicago with 'The Hunter Group' and the last of the four Collins brothers, Donovan.
We've met Donovan before as the surly, antagonistic and confrontational brother and I've got to say, that some of those feelings are entirely justified.
Even if you haven't met Donovan before and this is your first foray into the Chicago Suits series, it can be fully enjoyed as a standalone, but you'll definitely want to go back and read the others!
The story of Donavan and Paisley is as hot as you'd expect from the pens of Howell and Wolf but you certainly wouldn't expect to wipe tears from your eyes, thus bringing their writing partnership to a whole new level. I can't wait to see what their collaboration produces next.
Well done gents, you've certainly outdone yourselves!

I've got to say that Donavan Collins is my favorite Collins brother. His and Paisley's story had it all, anger, passion, forgiveness and some of the best book sex ever! Slaone and Alex are a great team and together they write a helluva story! Keep those stories coming!!

If you love the Collins brothers you will fall in love with Donavan...sure he can be jerk sometimes...ok maybe most times, but he is sexy and he has a great heart. He is super competitive...so when Paisley walks back into his life he gets transported back in time...back when he had to settle for runner up.
Paisley is a strong willed, sexy as sin girl trying to make it in a mans world. She also happens to be the one person who crushed Donavan's dream of being number one. They have a complicated past and an even more complicated present. What will their future hold? Guess you will have to #OneClick and find out.

I love a good redemption speech and Mr. Collins nails it every time. Just as the previous Collins members, Donovan’s story starts with a bang from the very first sentence. Paisley’s makes a great adversary against this arrogant playboy and doesn’t come up short. Her wit and sharp tongue gave me life. I loved that she matched him toe to toe in every aspect. The matched stubbornness, ruthlessness, and explosive emotions made for a great book. Their chemistry perfectly depicted through steamy AF impressive scenes was the perfect bow to bind this couple and their book.
Love this series and I absolutely remain perched at the witty symbolism and awesome references these authors make! Four books later, this series all has my attention and I absolutely love their timely releases.
Perfect balance.

Had a hard time getting into this book, the grudge they both had just seemed stupid. However, I know these authors rarely let me down. I was right. Feeling like you are unappreciated, unsupported and the after thought really does take a toll on you. Donovan is so strong despite everything and he won't back down. I understand family is everything and I am so happy that applies in this. Paisley, I will let you read this story to decide what you think. Tate again is making me like her a bit more. A great story and I knew donovan had his reasons. Sometimes, no matter how hard you scream or what you do people never see you. However their might just be one who sees and heals. This is my honest review for a book I volunteered to read. I will also be buying it to read again

I’ve been a fan of this series since the beginning! Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell make an incredible writing team. I’ve read them both separately from each other and I gotta say, I think when they write together the stories are stronger. I’m hoping they continue to build on this world they have created with the Collins brothers or branch out into something else, I’m not pick!
Now that I’ve got that off my chest (lol) …. This story was more emotional than I was really prepared for. These guys managed to have my emotions all over the place with this one, but the emotion that stood out the most was the feeling of hope. Donavan and Paisley have serious hurdles to surpass from their past, but they also have individual stumbling blocks they have to navigate to get to that sweet spot we love to read in our romance novels :) These guys did an amazing job of layering every plot point precisely as it should so as not to leave anything hanging. It all came together beautifully in the end. Do I wish there was a bit more depth to Donavan’s come to Jesus meeting with his family? Yeah, kinda, but it was just as good as it was so ….

Wow, what a story. These books are all amazing and I cannot get enough. Donovan, I'm not sure what to say about him, he will have you going crazy with all of his issues. I felt sorry for him in a few places but I still think he's pretty arrogant.

The Collins brothers are back again, and this time it's Donavan's story. He's always seemed so broody throughout, and now we get to see why. This is definitely one of my faves in this series.
I'm going to start by saying, you might need to have tissues handy, because this one has all the feels. One particular scene will bring tears to your eyes, and you don't even see it coming.
Donavan and Paisley are both as stubborn and ruthless as each other, so when they are together, there are always fireworks. I love these two together.

This is the fourth book in this incredible series and can be read as a standalone but you get a better understanding of everyone's dynamics if you read the other books. Plus trust me you will LOVE those other Sexy brothers!

Arrogant Playboy? How about hot, dirty, powerful dominant attorney that is just lost in the world? Arrogant Playboy by Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf is not a short story but quite a lengthy book but that is so necessary to get the complete picture of the storyline and characters. Donovan is a lovable character but at the same time you just want to smack him and tell him to grow up. With the amount of Collins brothers, it is a little hard to keep track of them and the women in their lives but about halfway through the book it because clearer and the reader can see who belongs to whom. I really liked some of the characters more than others, but they have their own books that I will be reading. Each of the Cocky Suits books are stand-alone reads and can be read in any order but starting with book one would help to keep all them boys straight. I was surprised the steamy scenes in this book didn’t melt my kindle. 5-stars for Arrogant Playboy

These two have done it again this series gets better and better with each book. They do not disappoint in their books at all.
Donovan's story is a second chance romance but not with a bit of arrogance that comes with him. This story has it all the heartache sexual tension and a connection that Donovan and Paisley can't deny. Their chemistry is off the charts and they balance each other even if they don't want it to happen the connection is to strong.
Donovan is a man you will love and hate all in one. His arrogance and a bit of an a** he likes to drive you insane.
Paisley come waling back into Donovan's life and a flood of emotions and memories come flooding back in. She is strong willed a successful individual she bust her butt off to get to where she is in her career. She is protective of those she loves and will do what ever it takes to protect them.
Paisley has some secrets she has left hidden. But one things for sure is that she can not leave Donovan and his hot sexy alpha dominate ways alone as much as she wants to. He will always be her weakness that she fights to only be drawn back in.

Wow I think Sloane and Alex kept the best Collins brother until last!
I've loved each and every one of these guys but just knew that Donavans story would be one worth waiting on.. his attitude and grumpiness throughout the other books have made me think he was hiding something or had some serious issues and this story did not disappoint one bit.
I can say its jammed full of love hate heartbreak happiness and full on emotions galore.
Meeting Paisley you can see that the chemistry between these pair is off the charts and they are perfect for each other BUT with previous insane history and their both very stubborn natures will they be able to forgive forget and move on? Or will it all be too much?

This is the first book in this series that I have read. That being said, as soon as I leave this review I will be going back to read the others! I absolutely loved how much Donavan go through to make him the man he becomes. Paisley is just what was needed to help him discover himself and vice versa. This book was simply brilliant and deserves more than 5 stars!

I love this book but not as much i love the other series. This series is very different from the first series. This series specifically is more COLD BUT ROMANTIC AT THE SAME TIME. Others I considered them not more colder than this one. I guess there’s a reason for that but still, it’s my own opinion 🤗
THIS HERO IS MORE COLD than the first heroes which is his older brothers. THIS HERO is more childish and not matured enough i think. He got this anger inside of him and ARROGANT just like the title. FOR A WHILE HE THINKS THATS OKAY AND THATS JUST HIM BEING HIM but in the end he knows how much his mind is very stupid to even think that way...
ITS A SECOND CHANCE SAFE LOVE STORY...

‼️NO DRAMA WITH OW AND OM
‼️WHAT I DON’T LIKE ABOUT THE HERO is that HE BREAK UP WITH THE HEROINE FIRST TIME WHEN they were in college because the heroine was smarter than him and win first class at their university which he thinks its not okay. AND HE KNOWS IF HE STAYED WITH THE HEROINE AT THE TIME, HE WILL NOT BE NUMBER ONE like he wanted.

The hero have a big goal and big ego.
When the hero saw the heroine after seven years later at the bar where they’re college reunion party, I DON’T LIKE WHEN HE SAID TO HIS FRIEND LETS GO AND FIND SOME OTHER CHICK TO F*CK. Thats just not stirred right with me. He supposed to apologize what he did but nope, he did that. I wanted him to go to her and say sorry and finally make his move. But nope. So i was a bit disappointed at first.
I ALSO DON’T LIKE THAT IT TAKES 7 YEARS for the hero to own up to his mistakes and make it right with the heroine. HE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT EARLIER! Not that long, that was too long and too annoying lol.
BUT... When he make it right with the heroine, he really did and he never look back and never gave up.
In the end I sympathize his reasons on why his actions was like that because its pretty reasonable.
BUT STILL... why that long boy? 🙄🥱

THE FIRST SEPARATION of course both are with others. They talked about it and both make sure that they are safe and use protections. AFTER THEY REUNITED 7 YEARS LATER when the first time they do it, they didn’t use protection. I think both are celibate but it didn’t said it though...
THE SECOND SEPARATION is when the hero and heroine have a misunderstanding....
THIS TIME BOTH ARE VERY LOYAL AND BUSY ON WORKING. NO TOUCHING AND NO GO TO ANYONE ELSE. So thats a huge relief lol.

Thats just not stirred right with me. He supposed to apologize what he did but nope, he did that. I wanted him to go to her and say sorry and finally make his move. But nope. So i was a bit disappointed at first.
I ALSO DON’T LIKE THAT IT TAKES 7 YEARS for the hero to own up to his mistakes and make it right with the heroine. HE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT EARLIER! Not that long, that was too long and too annoying lol.
BUT... When he make it right with the heroine, he really did and he never look back and never gave up.
In the end I sympathize his reasons on why his actions was like that because its pretty reasonable.

My dear Paisley are you a bit much. Yep. Is your anger justified? Probably. Was the chemistry palpable between these two. Off the charts!
The author’s writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shockingly intimate I am a huge fan of these authors. They write with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines that are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Arrogant playboy, hmm not sure if that’s how I would describe baby boy Donovan.. The Collins men are all alpha mans and each with a quality that is beyond what most men have these days.
I suppose Donovan needed to be arrogant when it comes to his brothers, but he is a unique man and mostly with a loveable heart that only Paisley has a hold of. After seven years apart, the first time they see each other, feels that were long gone just leaps from out of nowhere and now Donnie realizes the biggest mistake of his life was walking away from the love of his life.
He is a big grumpy bear but when you get into that bear hug, OMG, you will feel everything all at once. Second chance love is tricky, especially with the past that these two share, but love and fate are sneaky bitches and they will find a way for them to be together after everything that has happened.
After making the decision to come back home and take care of family, the last thing that Pasiley wanted to rekindle was Donovan. Working at the same firm should not have been hard especially when she’s in finance and he practice criminal law but then again, fate had other plans for these two.
I wanted more than what was giving at the end but I’m greedy like that. After reading all the Collins brothers, I have to say that Decker is still the man for me.

Such an amazing story. Two people who had a relationship with a really strong bond in years past. The separation caused them to have a shield around their hearts. After years of being away, Paisley finds herself back in town to help take care of her dad and grandparents. Donavan is part owner of the law practice Paisley wants to get a job at while she's back. But she has worked for a rival company. Donavan is also dealing with some personal family issues. You can feel every single bit of pain he goes through theoughout the book. You want to see Donavan and Paisley get back together most times. In other times you feel they'd be better off with out each other. This book was brilliantly written. I highly recommend Arrogant Playboy. Especially if you want to know what happens between them and what secrets they keep from each other. Bravo Sloan and Alex on another amazing book

Oh my Donovan!!! Can we say cocky with a capital C. All that anger and pent up aggression made him the naughtiest Collins brother to date.
I loved Paisley’s character so much. Her love for family and doing whatever she had to for them made her character so relatable and lovable.
I have to say I’m loving this series so much and I most definitely do not want it to end.

This book is about second chances/ enemy to lovers/office romance. It has it all. Romance, steam, swoon.
You will not be disappointed.
Paisley and Donavan are so great together. Strong female and sexy alpha. I loved getting to learn about Donavan. And why he was the way he was.
Don’t wait to read these books :). They are great. Start at the beginning.

Arrogant Playboy by Alex Wolf and Sloane Howell is the definition of perfect office romance. Sexual and emotional tension that needs to be cut with a diamond knife. Incredibly smart and sharp writing that kept the witty, steamy and romantic vibe till the very end. And amazing characters who will stay with me forever.
Donavan Collins and Paisley Williams have a long history going back to their law school days. They were soul mates. They were the "it" person for each other. But Donavan did something to hurt her beyond repair during a very difficult time in her life. Now she is back to work for his farm leaving his biggest competitors. But why? Does Paiey really hate Donavan like she shows? Is Donavan really the arrogant brute everyone makes him to be?
Donavan is a mass of contradictions. He comes across as the infuriating rude and arrogant alpha man. But he has a chip in size of Antarctica on his shoulder. And he is nursing years of resentment and anger about his brothers and father that only makes him act as an insufferable, hot tempered and impulsive guy. He is the best in their farm but he is always trying to prove himself and getting himself in unfortunate circumstances. My heart is breaking for this bad boy with a golden heart. Same goes for Paisley. She is hurt, insecure and still not over Donavan. But this super smart, adorably smart and outright gorgeous woman is willing to do anything for her family. Including putting her career and heart in line of fire. But the winner is the chemistry between them. You really need to stock tissues, wine and other "reinforcements". Their hate transforms into some of the most dirty, kinky, filthy and mouthwatering pantymelting hot scenes ever. They have some beautiful connection that is something extraordinary and epic. She completes him like he helps her to be happy and cherished. The writers put angst and pain in right places to make this story unputdownable.

I read this book as a standalone. But I plan to go back and read the other 3 books in the series.
Donovan is the youngest of the four Collins brothers. He has spent his life overshadowed by 3 larger than life characters Decker, Deacon and Dexter. He is the youngest, and constantly feels like he must prove himself. Mr. Cantankerous, aka Donovan Collins is absolutely the kind of guy you want to find in a book called Arrogant Playboy. His insecurity impacts his love life, when his perfectionist ways fall short. His reactions are immature, and he suffered the consequences for years due to his desired perfectionism. Years after abandoning Paisley Williams, she comes barreling back into his life. I'll admit, I was just as skeptical of Paisley's motives for joining the Hunter Group, but I was anticipating her reasons were true.
While Donovan and Paisley are far from friendly in the beginning of this book, as old wounds run deep, with time, the anger between them gives way to the passion that never died. And boy do these two have passion. Some much passion.
Competition between the brothers run true even as they watch Donovan fall again for Paisley and make some of the same mistakes they made. You'd think the brothers would be looking our for each other, but not so much. Once some secrets are revealed, life gets unexpectedly harder for Donovan. However, Donovan does have the whole grand gesture thing down and does it very well!
I truly enjoyed this story with its HEA. The story of Donavan and Paisley is as red-hot as you'd expect from authors like Howell and Wolf but what you don’t expect is the emotions of this story. This book had so many feels. I can’t wait to see what Howell and Wolf work on together next. This was a 3.75/4 read for me. I do feel like there was very clear formula they followed when they wrote the story. Over all a nice easy read.

What can I say without spoilers? That’s what I always ask myself when trying to write a review. I want to rave on about *why* a book was so good, what really drew me to it.
Sometimes my reviews will say what I didn’t like so much, again, without spoilers.
Well in this case, I can tell you there was absolutely NOTHING I didn’t like. It was brilliant from start to finish.
If you’ve already read the previous books, you’ll have an idea of what the Collins brothers are like. I’m sure somebody gave these boys extra testosterone and extra charm. Maybe there was something in the water.
Not only can they dominate the boardroom, but also the bedroom.
I have to say, the other brothers were something to live up to, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from Donovan. But thankfully, I was in for a nice surprise. Because if there’s one thing to expect, it’s that with each book in this series, Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf up their game every time. They knock it out of the park every darn time!
Decker and Tate might have been #couplegoals before, but now I think Donovan and Paisley have taken their place.
Another brilliantly written story about another amazing couple. Somehow, Donovan felt like the underdog, and I always root for the underdog. But, if anything, that was *his* mentality and not my perception of him. And it wasn’t Paisley’s perception of him either.
You always get a good dose of humour from the Howell/Wolf duo and this book didn’t let the side down. It was steamy, passionate and dirty, sure—but it’s the lightheartedness and comedy antics that’s always shines through in every book that keeps me coming back for more.
So what more do you need to know? Go buy your copy on 20th March!

Every book I think that brother is the best, but I think Donovan is the all around best, most arrogant Collins brother and I love it! Donovan had it all in law school. Top of his class, good friends and a woman he was in love with. Right at graduation it all went to hell and he left Paisley with a broken heart and his heart was permanently hardened. Seven years later he runs into her in NYC but refuses to be civil. He heads back to Chicago to kick some ass and take nor prisoners, until he see the "new hire" for the firm. Paisley returns to Chicago from her prestigious NY job to take care of her family, though you get the feeling that she is leaving something out of her story. The two of them in close proximity sets off all kinds of fireworks....in the office...in the bar...in the bedroom!! I love that we finally get Donovan's story. You realize why he is the asshole he is, and you see how much they still love each other, if they can ever forgive and move on. This is such a fabulous book, I just loved it!
