You will understand each and every bit of it very clearly.
But those who already have some idea about stock market and thinking of reading this book then I would suggest not to go for it. In that case watch YouTube videos that will help you alot. Take care, Happy Reading! 😊
As the author described, the book was a primer to stock market investing. I've read many books and articles related to investments and trading. But, there is no one to give a piece of proper solid advice on investing. It is because the share market is completely unpredictable and volatile. The only method to earn money from trading or investing is to develop your own strategy by learning or acquiring some knowledge about the market. One point I liked very much is the statement, there is no one in this world, who is going to help you and let you gain monetary benefits from the stock market. They will usually try to capitalise on our ignorance and misunderstanding to reap financial gains. 'Investonomy', sincerely attempted to give an idea about the settings of the share market world and it somehow managed to meet their objectives.
▶“A book on how to make the money that you already have, make you more money”
#Insight- Throughout the book the author keeps telling us one thing that no amount of money is less to invest in the stock market. The book strikes as a gamechanger. How can a person who lives almost hand to mouth compete in the market where hundreds of crores are at stake. The book tells that he can.
#Review- The book is basically a guide book on how to (try to) make profit through the stock market. Well divided into different chapters with different methods on reading the market, the author also puts forward examples from time to time. It feels motivating like “Yes. I too can do it.” but to feel that feeling of motivation you have to first make yourself stick to the book. That’s a necessary evil. Very few exmaples also make it a little boring because for me it the examples that prove your theory. But still overall its a well written ‘Guide”
#Drawbacks- Too few examples, and too boring. If you think of reading it just to gain some knowledge, don’t. Read only if you’re seriously interested in reading and learning about the stock market.
#Strength- Graphs and Figures. The author uses those to explain his methods and concepts. And they also provide a change in the long paragraphs and lists of points.
#Target Readers- People who are seriously thinking about the stock market. I mean “SERIOUSLY”
This book is a beginners guide to investing in stocks. Although the writer mainly focuses on the indian stock market as examples in the book but the appeal of the book is generic and solid. The writer is of the view that your investing attitude is reflected in your personality. In trading, they call it FEAR to GREED index. The books explains the difference between speculation and investing and the difference between trading and value investing. The book is influenced by investors like charlie munger and warren buffet. The examples and anecdotes are entertaining.
The books argues that one should always invest in what one understands. Understand the business like an owner and then invest. Use ratios like ROCE, ROIC and PE Ratios. Buy low and sell high. Look at the costs and the margins. Look at the pricing power of company and the say of its buyers. The long term road map of the company and its profits and its risk of Government regulation, collapse or debt problems.
The book explains that value investing means buying after thorough scrutiny and looking at easily predicatable avenues. The potential growth, the size of the pie, the expansion, the return percentages, the sector analysis, the multi-bagger with a MOAT( a factor that keeps the company a winner).
Overall, its a balanced book with plenty of good information for beginners. A good effort by the writer in explaining the basics and ironing out the doubts in the mind of a new investor in avoiding basic pitfalls.

This book gives the basic idea of investment, the terms which every investor should be aware of and what are the important things to remember before and during investment.
I feel every naive investor must read this book before starting investment. For me, best part of this book is that examples are given wherever needed, because for a person who don't know anything about something, example makes it easy to understand.
If you are thinking of starting investment in stocks or if you have just started investment, you can, infact you should read this book. I'm quite sure that you will feel more confident in stock investment after reading this book.
Simple language with great knowledge on stock market.☺️
Amazing book written by Pranjal ji..and his team.. have finished just now..very basics of stock market explained in simple understanding English. Excellent examples given on Indian stock market specially for beginners.. I purchased this book on Amazon Kindle..as the hard copy is not delivered to containment zones in Mumbai.. Awaiting more books on this..and thanks to Amazon Kindle due to this Investonomy has reached to the people who desire to learn this. Yours truly, Anil Jaiswar (Mumbai)
It was a very good book for a beginner who has no idea or is new to finance or Stock market. It ticks all the basics a person noob in finance needs to follow. The author explains all important concepts of finance with simple and easy to follow examples. It is a must read for you if you haven't read much finance books and it's more indianized book which will help Indians a lot. However, If you have read other books specially Western books then this book can be skipped. Overall, a good book for beginners.
This book gives you guidance on value investing. It tries to simplify the stock investment. I felt this book lacked a lot of examples. I felt this book could have been better with examples and tell us about what and how to do and what or how not to do it. All this information in the book he is already and constantly giving in YT videos. Personally I felt more tiresome after reading this book instead of exciting which i felt when i purchased this book.
If your are a newbie thinking of investing in stock but lack of knowledge resisting you from doing it than I think this book will surely guide you. It's not a ultimate guide to stock investing but will help you gain a fundamental knowledge of investment. Happy Reading:-)
1st of all the book is good guide for newly INVESTERS. The book content basic investment skills required. Auther explain everything like, myths about market, mental stability of invester and very practical concept which is required for analysis of any company. I Personally feels that book is good on that subject. Newly invester enjoy it.
One of the Best guides for beginners in the stock market. Pranjal made an impact through describing each and every aspect of investing. More importantly unbiased opinion is rare but he succeeded. "Investonomy" explains each investment option smoothly without using any financial jargon. Respect to the simplicity of content and easy to grasp language.
Good book with few nuggets. Few suggestions though, author could have added examples of how he picks stocks and how to find good stocks. Also, could have added more in Industry Analysis and Michael Porter's competitive analysis. Overall good book for beginners.
Fairly good for a beginner, more of theoretical concepts and nothing you won't find through a decent internet search or Youtube. But if you are a beginner in Stock Market/ financial literacy, you can give it a read to grasp fundamentals.
Kudos to PK !! Great book if you are new in the market or you want to become an investor from being a speculator/gambler. Provide literature to make your own investment strategy. Chapter 20: Behavioural Biases, my personal favourite
