A BBW Instalove Romance

Marisa
When a friend and I go to a speed dating event, I don’t expect much out of the evening. People don’t actually meet their soulmates this way, do they?
Then a hot-as-hell man sits down across from me, and I’m instantly smitten with him. I feel like I’m dreaming when Gabe and I ditch the speed date to go on a real one.
As our first date comes to an end, I’m already fantasizing about our future.
But the next evening, our paths cross again in a way that leaves me mortified. This isn’t going to work, is it?

Gabe
I’m surprised when Marisa shows up at my office with the night cleaning crew. But I don’t judge her for it. I’m still just as taken with her as I was when we met last night.
She’s got the biggest heart and the most luscious curves—and I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been daydreaming about making her my bride.
After our run-in, though, Marisa is convinced we’re too different from each other. But I know we’re destined to be together. So now it’s up to me to show her that she belongs by my side, and that I belong by hers.

GETTING GABE is a short instalove romance with steam, sweetness, and a happily-ever-after! This novella can be read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed with the rest of the Dirty Sweet Alphas series.

Marisa has been desperately trying to set up her own catering business but things aren’t moving as quickly as she had hoped so when she spots a speed dating night she thinks there is nothing better to take her mind off her problems and with Elle her best friend going with her she embarks on a night that could change the course of her life forever but is she really willing to take the chance?

Gabe was only stopping by the restaurant to pick up some work when he spots Marisa from that moment on he knows there is nothing that he won’t do to make her his but when she tries to end what they have he realises he is going to have to prove that they are meant to be together, can he show her that he wants her no matter what?

**2.8/5 stars**

Marisa is bored one day and decides to call a friend to go to a speed dating event with her. The dates seem to be going well until the guy she's talking to leaves before the timer is completely done, leaving Marisa alone for the remaining minutes. In the distance, Gabe who sees how beautiful she is, walks up to her and invite her on a real date, which she accepts.

We meet Gabe, who's the CFO in a company. He's wealthy, sexy and completely charmed by Marisa. She on the other hand, struggles a bit with money, and is forced to work part-time jobs until she's able to live off her catering business.

Who goes to a speed dating event only to be whisked away in the middle of it by a hot stranger who wasn’t even part of the event?-Marisa

I thought their relationship was better than the first novella in this series. There was actual dating before getting intimate, which I appreciated even though everything mostly happened super quickly. There isn't much to say honestly. It was very simple, not much drama other than Marisa's insecurity realizing how they were from 'different' world money wise. But she gets over it very fast, as Gabe goes on to prove how much he cares about her.

Would I recommend this novella? I guess it's a good novella if you don't have much time to spare. I just find that there wasn't that much depth into it. But overall, a sweet story.

Gabe gets Marisa

Getting Gabe or it should really be "Getting Marisa" as that is what Gabe actually wants and he goes about getting her any way he can. We were first introduced to Marisa in Craving Cole when she threw a New Years Eve party for her 3 best friends, other friends and had invited her older but very hot next door neighbor Cole over. It was at this party that one of her bf's Aurora met and hooked up with Cole. In this book we find Marisa having to get a part-time job while she is still trying to get her catering business off the ground. She just applied to a number of different jobs and took the first one that called her back. It was as an office cleaner at night and she is to start the next night. So tonight she decides to do something to cheer herself up and hits upon a speed dating event to which she and her other two bf's, Elle and Lindsay, also decide to come along to. Let's just say that Marisa's first two "dates" are hilarious and had me laughing out loud. But all of a sudden a tall and huge man asks "is this seat taken?" and she invites him to join her.
Gabe is the CFO for a restaurant management company and had a meeting with the owner of the bar where the event is being held. As he was walking out from the back office something made him take a look around and his eyes locked on the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen, Marisa. When her "date" all of a sudden up and ran out his legs were moving him across the floor before he even realized it. He has one question for her "Tell me something you've always always wanted to do." When Marisa does he outstretches his hand and invites her to go with him. This man knows how to do some things and he both surprises and elates Marisa. They share a kiss when he drops her off and then talk the next day to set up a date for the following night.
That night, Friday, Gabe is working late and he runs into Marisa...............as she is part of the cleaning crew for the office he works at. Marisa is embarrassed even though Gabe tells her he does not care as he is attracted to her and not what she does. Poor Marisa does not believe him but Gabe does not give up It is a good thing Marisa has really good girlfriends who at Sunday brunch basically tell her to get over herself as if he is still trying to get a hold of her and has already told her he does not care about her working as a cleaner then he does not care. It seems she is the only one that actually cares about it. Will Marisa get over it herself and allow Gabe back into her life? What Gabe does to prove he does not care is priceless.
This is an OTT insta-love short story that is sweet and cute, along with having a bit of dirty added in. The characters are fun and flirty and the story-line makes you think. Sometimes we judge ourselves harder than others do and we need to learn to accept what those around us say more. The next book in the series is to be Elle's story. I sure how she finds herself a great guy as that girl seems to have the worst luck sometimes.

Marisa wants to open a catering business but money is too tight she applied for a few jobs and the only one that had gotten back to her was to be a part of a cleaning crew so she had no choice but to take it, Marisa was in the mood to party she noticed a speed dating event so she texts two of her best friends to see if they want to go and they text her back that they will meet her there. The first two of Marisa’s dates are a no way and a nope then a guy with a deep sexy voice and a body made for sin sits down and Marisa forgets her own name. Gabe wasn’t there for the speed dating he was there for a meeting and when he comes out of that meeting something tells him to look over there and that’s when he see’s a curvy beauty sitting there on her own so he walks over and takes the empty seat. Gabe only has 3 minutes left with Marisa he doesn’t want to lose her now so he asks her what does she want to do Marisa tells him then Gabe holds out his hand and she takes it but first Marisa goes and tells Elle that she is leaving. Gabe always thought that love at first sight was the stuff of fiction but not now he’s even thinking about a wife and family and with Marisa that’s all he can think about. I loved this story and I can’t wait to read Elle’s and Lindsey’s stories, this is a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I really enjoyed this story. The characters were a lot of fun. I really liked how supportive all the friends were of each other.

Marisa and her friend Elle go out to a speed dating event, just for fun. While at the speed dating event a man sits down across from her and he is HOT. Marisa is instantly attracted to him and feels like she's dreaming when Gabe asks her to leave with him. They go on a real date that is amazing and has her imagining the future. When they run into each other the next night, Marisa decides that they are too different to be together.

Gabe isn't part of the speed dating event, but has to talk to Marisa when he sees her. He has been daydreaming about marrying her since they had a great first date. Gabe is looking forward to their next date when Marisa shows up with the night cleaning crew. He is surprised by her presence, but it doesn't matter to him because he knows they are meant to be together. Marisa disagrees, so he has to show her that they belong together.

Loved how Gabe showed Marisa that what she did, didn't matter to him. Their happy ever after was awesome. I hope all of her friends get books too! I recommend reading this book!

This is book number 2 of the Dirty Sweet Alphas series and focuses on Gabe and Marisa. Marisa is in need of a distraction so she decides to go to a speed dating event. When her second round date up and leaves in the middle of their round, she is shocked to find an incredibly handsome man asking to join her. Gabe was immediately captivated by Marisa’s beauty and kindness at first glance and immediately knew there was something different about her. They end up leaving the speed dating event and going out on a real date. They end up falling for each other but when Marisa runs into Gabe while she is working her part time job, she decides that they are too different and that they would never work. Thankfully, Gabe knows that what they have is special and shows her just how perfect they are together. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Getting Gabe is book two in the dirty sweet alpha series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Marisa never expects to find her soul mate at a speed-dating event. It isn’t until the next day and a second encounter with Gabe leaves her humiliated.
The chemistry between Gabe and Marisa is clear to see and I liked them as a couple. They made a cute couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Such a cute quick read.

I do love how much punch she puts into her short stories. When your reading them you forget that is is a short story until you reach the end and want more.

Gabe is just adorable and everything I thought Marisa should have. I love how he doesn’t let her get away and his way of showing how hard he has fallen for her.

I do have just one negative, Marisa, she was not overly down on herself, but it was enough to irk me. However, she did redeem herself in the end and I cannot wait to see what comes next.

I was happy to get more from Cole and Aurora.

This is a cute and quick read, but is so worth the energy.

I loved this story of pure instalove, but it was just missing something. The characters had great potential, I just feel as if I didn’t have a chance to really connect with them and the plot itself was good but I felt the same. This story definitely went from 0-60 in a chapter flat - and I was left feeling a little lost because of all the potential that as missed.
Kate did great with the setup, the steam, and the chemistry between the character but if she would’ve added just a little more depth I would be over the moon in love with this book

What starts at as a distraction quickly turns into so much more. Stressing about the money to get her catering business up and running Marissa decides to go speed dating to distract herself, she doesn't expect anything but she definitely wasn't ready for the hot man who sits across from her. Gabe is at the same place the speed dating is being held but he's there for a meeting when he spots Marissa he can't stop himself from going over to her.
The chemistry is instant and the attraction is undeniable. I love the flow of the story and the characters are just amazing.

This is my first book from the author ( CORRECTION: this is my second book from her. Why didn't I remember the first one???) and as far as her writing style goes, I like the way she narrates. Smooth, savvy and definitely not over the top. Although I kinda notice she doesn't like to describe things so much. I guess that is one of the drawbacks of having limited pages to go over with or something. But as far as the steaminess and sexiness go, it wasn't steamy and erotic enough. And I was looking forward to it, which is one of the reasons why I want to give this book a go. But nonetheless, I am still intrigued by the rest of the books from the series. I will definitely check them out soon.

This is a steamy short read. It is an insta-love with a curvy Marisa and CFO Gabe. The two click when Gabe spies her while she is at a speed dating event. He is immediately drawn to her. They leave the speed dating event behind for a helicopter ride over the city. Unfortunately the next night the two cross paths again only Marisa is working at her part-time job as a cleaning lady at his company. Marisa is trying to get her catering business up and running but the bills have to be paid. Marisa doesn't think they are a good match now. Gabe will have to work for it.

This short story is written in a dual POV format. If you need a quick hot and heavy read, well give this one a try.

Cute quick read!

This is the second book in the series and I recommend reading them in order, just for a little backstory. Marissa meets Gabe and they got it off right away. He IS pretty amazing. She has reservations though because he is rich and she isn't. Don't worry, it has a sweet ending.

Good but simple

Good, well-written romance, which I enjoyed the meeting of the two main characters and their unexpected new encounter, but the story then remains simple. I would have liked it to be a little longer because the end is fast ending.

This was a book about Marisa, a young woman trying to start a catering business, and Gabe, a successful businessman who is immediately taken in by her when he first lays eyes on her. It is a cute story about insta-love, although it has those moments of doubt. I look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I loved it!

Kate Hunt is a master storyteller! She had me hooked from the first paragraph. It's hard to hook someone within the first paragraph, I have returned many books without reading more than the first chapter. Not from this author though!
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Gabe and Marisa. This book gave me the feel goods and I look forward to the rest of the series.

Gabe meets Marisa when he is finished with a meeting and she is at the restaurant with her friend on a speed dating event. Gabe is smitten with Marisa and whisks her away on a date. When Marisa's insecurity keeps her from Gabe, he proves to her how worthy she is, which I loved. A great short story with so much love and sprinkled with heat!

Almost

I enjoyed reading this story. It flowed easily, up until the end. It just started jumping. It lost the flow, the rhythm. It was, what??? What did I miss, flipped back a few pages to make sure I didn’t miss anything. It’s just frustrating.

Entertaining 🙂

I’m never sure what to say about these types of books. You are able to get the gist of the story, way too short. Entertaining is the best way to describe this.
