HENDRIX: The Collection

Rate this book
The Collection is a boxset series featuring the highly rated Hendrix & Monroe & The prequel. HENDRIX & The love story of Hendrix and Monroe isn't your average urban romance about the innocent school girl falling for the big time dope boy. Oh no, Hendrix is far more than that. Monroe is eighteen years old and fresh out of high school. It’s summertime, and she just wants to have fun. So, when she crosses paths with the intriguing and mysterious man called Hendrix she's devoted to making him hers. But there's one problem - he seems to fall off the face of the earth, and no one knows him. How could it be that Hendrix is the boss of a lucrative drug empire, but not a soul knows who he is? Because he's a genius, that's why. Instead of basking in the limelight attached to the drug game, he leaves that to his twin brother, Jimi. But there is much more to Hendrix than meets the eye. Hendrix's private, low key lifestyle becomes a complication for Monroe, who is having a hard time convincing her family and friends that Hendrix exists. A lot is at stake - her mental health and freedom included. How far is Monroe willing to go to prove that the love of her life exists? Will Hendrix be able to show face in order to save the young girl who gave him something he's yearned to have for years? Will Monroe be able to accept Hendrix's truth when it’s presented to her? Or will the whirlwind of events she's faced with send her over the cliff of sanity? THE Hendrix had always been an ambitious young man, succeeding at whatever he put his mind to. So, when he decided to try his hand at the drug game, he knew that it was his for the taking. Although he grew up on the mean streets of Detroit, he wasn't a product of his environment. When Hendrix presented his business plan to the neighborhood drug dealer, Chief, there were questions as to why Hendrix, with the intellect of a genius, wanted to deal drugs. The answer was because it would be easy. Or so he thought. In the midst of making his mark in the highly competitive drug game, he finds himself falling deeper in love with his childhood best friend, Israel. Falling in love with Israel was the least of his worries, though. There were many preying on his downfall, but because of his deadly reputation, people tread lightly around him. Hendrix always thought he was a step ahead of his enemies. But in a game fueled by jealousy and greed, somethings tend to sneak up on you. Especially when the one truly against you is your own twin brother.

Suspenseful... The twist and turns with the emotional toll

I was so confused at first I thought Hendrix had a split personality or just paranoid. But he's a thug through to the Bone and it's his life style. Monroe I thought was grieving for her grandmother but was misunderstood. This book was different but still I enjoyed it, and I wanted a different ending but I realize that the ending it would have been so cliche like a lot of other books out here. Definitely recommend it must read!? Emotional rollercoaster I cried at the end.

Years ago I read about Hendrix and Monroe and I loved their story so much that I bought the signed paperback from the author. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the print in the book was different a few times so it went from big font to small font and back…other than that I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Hendrix story prior to him meeting Monroe.

Can't go any further

I am at a loss for words!! I can't go any further and wouldn't understand his life without Monroe in it. This is different for me yet good. I loved the mystery of Hendrix until I realized it will never be. The mind is a fragile thing and I truly could not go into reading the prequel because this entire book led me to believe the fantasy of them forever. A very good read if you're willing to think outside the box.

Emotionally Draining!

I was excited to read this book, as the synopsis had me intrigued. As I begin to read, the confusion began almost immediately, as I tried to figure out what is happening. Then the bomb drops! What the hell? How is this possible? I still have so many questions! What exactly are special eyes? Why were only certain people able to see him? After I calmed down, I enjoyed the love story of Monroe and Hendrix. She was his one! Wow! What a ride! 👍👍👍

Wow

Enjoyed this story at first I was a little confused but the more I read I understood. Hendrix soul couldn't rest until he had the truth he just didn't expect to find love again. They always say your worst enemy is standing right in front of you, so sad it was his twin someone that was supposed to be his best friend, protector all because he was jealous and wanted to be King, to only fall short once Hendrix discovered the truth.

Okay this was a great read! I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was some confusion early on as others have stated but I was able to realize what was going on pretty quickly as far as the paranormal aspect of it. I was definitely saddened while at the ending of the first book. As far as the prequel, I understand wanting to give us the back story but for me it definitely was not needed. I didn’t enjoy it near as much as I did the first half but I continued on reading and was left satisfied…maybe if the prequel was actually read/written in front of the other story so the events could be read in the order they actually happened…? Overall it was still a really good book. I hadn’t read anything like it from this author so I was definitely excited as I was reading and realizing that this is paranormal. I give 4 stars but only because my intense excitement did fizzle towards the end of the first book and going in to the prequel.

Tear jerker

I had so many emotions. I wanted Hendrix and Monroe to be together so I am happy about that ending in that book. Jimi wasn’t shit Cain and Abel if I have ever seen it. Loved this book though. I definitely wasn’t expecting him to be a ghost especially since Jimi could see him too. Really great read. 💙💙💙💙💙⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing

You had me thinking I was going crazy. I felt for Monroe. Her sanity was really being questioned and so was mine. Hendrix was a good ghost. He slipped trusting Jimi. Jimi was lazy from the beginning. The shocker was Rory having a baby that her best friend didn't know about. Great one!

Excellent reading Hendrix: The Collection.

Hendrix: The Collection was definitely a true suspenseful page turner. I could not put it down. Monroe was not the love of his
life, but she was his forever love. 💖

Good storyline

Enjoyed the story of No and Hendrix. It would have been even better if so repetitive. I think what happened to Hendrix was told 3 or 4 times.

I Hated Loving It!

Sorry for the confusion but I became quite vested in this story. I was caught up in the story line and just knew Miss Candice would not do me like this! I immediately fell in love with Hendrix and had a strong need, I would even say demand that he be allowed to be and stay among the living! I could tell this was a hard story to write. It was hard read and I was unable to put it down. I just knew what I was thinking was wrong, or that some twist or change in circumstance would be my reward. I was wrong, but still came away feeling having been given a well told story. Please Miss Candice don't do me like that again!

Monroe & Hendrix

I was hoping Hendrix was a vampire, but no and that made it more sad. Poor Monroe, she had a spiritual gift, but her family thought she was crazy. This was a very interesting perspective. I enjoyed reading this.
