Three times larger than most board books, this bright and fresh edition has all the appeal of miss Maisy herself and offers an effective and enjoyable method of introducing babies and toddlers to the first basic concepts--counting and colors.
Lucy Cousins, BA Honours in Graphic Design from The Faculty of Arts and Architecture, Brighton Polytechnic, postgraduate degree from Royal College of Art, is an author-illustrator of children's books. She is best known for her books featuring Maisy Mouse but she has also published other children's books including one about Noah's Ark. She is a mother of four and lives in Hampshire, England. Her own children are the inspiration for her books whose age range is 2-8.
This book is almost too simple. Kind of boring. And it says "Pink Whiskers Pink Ears" and shows a picture of Maisy, but her whiskers and ears aren't really very pink.
I like this [o-o] book because it was about colors, yeah: red, yellow, gurple, and purple, and murple, and of course, knerple, which is a knee that is purple. And last but not least, a nerple, which is a nervous color of purple.
So the coal car, that wasn't really part of the book. That's just because "I like this book" looked like a train to me, but I wanted it to have a coal car: [o-o]
