Doctor Maisy helps Panda when he is sick, but who will help Maisy?
In Doctor Maisy, Maisy and Tallulah play hospital. Poor Panda is sick, but feels much better with Doctor Maisy in charge. When it’s Maisy’s turn to need help, Nurse Tallulah comes to the rescue!
Lucy Cousins, BA Honours in Graphic Design from The Faculty of Arts and Architecture, Brighton Polytechnic, postgraduate degree from Royal College of Art, is an author-illustrator of children's books. She is best known for her books featuring Maisy Mouse but she has also published other children's books including one about Noah's Ark. She is a mother of four and lives in Hampshire, England. Her own children are the inspiration for her books whose age range is 2-8.
Maisy and Tallulah play dress up and today they are playing doctor and nurse. They are listening to heartbeats and checking Panda's along with his temperature. After some doctoring of Panda they bump into each other and Nurse Tallulah has to bandage Doctor Maisy's nose. Cute little story for small children, encourages imagination play.
A fun book that was easy to see the correlations to what actually happens early on for checks. Hopefully make things less scary for children. I was so happy to find out Maisy is still around.
I’m subbing for a new class and the book selection is weak as hell. Maisy just puts a stuffed panda to bed and then gets their nose bandaged because they are careless when walking downstairs.
Read this to my two children (2.5 years and 4 months) and they both loved it. It’s an easy to read book about Maisy and her game of ‘Doctors’ with a friend Tallulah. It features the well known Maisy illustrations in bright colours, it’s easy to understand and is suitable for all young aged children.
Rating based of mine and my children’s personal experience and taste. We may revisit in the future with an updated rating and review.
If anyhing this book makes visits to the doctor a lot easier to manage. Stella use to hate the thermometer (couldn't even see it a mile away). Now, I just have to remind her that it's the same thing maisy does when panda is sick.
Summary: "It's Doctor Maisy and Nurse Tallulah, and they're playing hospital. Poor Panda is sick, but Maisy takes good care of him. Then it's Maisy's turn to need the help--and Nurse Tallulah comes to the rescue!"
This book is about a mouse named Maisy who plays doctor with his favorite stuffed panda and chicken friend named Tallulah. This would not be a good book because it has no meaning to it at all
Maisy and Tallulah play hospital and try to help poor, sick Panda, who feels much better with Doctor Maisy in charge. But when it's Maisy's turn to need help, Nurse Tallulah comes to the rescue.
