SHE

Rate this book
"She" book series book 1. Ruby Gold had it all. The most handsome quarterback boyfriend, best grades, rich family, her own cheer team, the looks and the personality. Eden Harper is the new girl. She is the definition of bad, not to mention, it isn't hard to figure out her sexuality. What happens once the popular girl, the new bad girl and a stereotypical town all come together? Is Ruby even happy? Is Eden even bad? A story far from traditional.

This was an entertaining read, while being totally f#cked up at the same time. Golden girl Ruby Gold (called princess throughout by her father to my utter disdain) and bad girl Eden both have big secrets. We learn some of them as the story and relationship develop, but two major ones not until the book is nearly done. There is a sequel, but at least this was not a cliff hanger or HEA. One very mild pg sex scene.

2.75 stars, sometimes you just have average the book out. The beginning started out as a 3, middle 2.75, ending a 2.

Ruby, valedictorian captain cheerleader who is dating Kevin a football star, cliche I know, the book even mentions it that way.

Enter new student Eden, (Ruby rose knockoff) who coincidentally purposely outs herself in the beginning 5 mins at the school.

Enter high school drama, boyfriend breakup, new girlfriend, rich nonexistent parents, & a gang of thieves, friendly lesbian premed student Hanna.

Also a funny mom Lucy, yep law of averages on this book. Since I read so much had to see how it ended.

Interesting Read

Let me start by saying, I have been reading a vast amount of books that end in with a HEA. Going against the strange reviews and delving away from the main sappy love stories, I must say that I was intrigued when I started this book. It has a generally good plot, with twists that even I didn't see coming. Though I do feel as though it was rushed a bit in the end. It seems to me like the author purposefully left several questions in the air and left plenty of room for another book to be written.
I am curious to see if their story line continues. The question is, can a relationship that starts out on a lie actually develop into something real and truly meaningful, and will Eden show up and fight for it?

A good read but somewhat hard to follow. The plot didn't reveal itself until the end but there were suspicious throughout. The ending left me hanging

I enjoyed this book even though Ruby got her heart broken she found out who she is and got the help she needed.
