Food! It’s good. I’ve been eating it since the early 70’s.Growing up in Northern England, learning to cook, the Bero book was the bible we used at home in our kitchen; recipes filled with warmth and comfort…thankfully the days of eating brown sauce sandwiches for tea are over and different ingredients are readily available in your everyday supermarkets.Food is the common denominator that brings people together. Everyone has to eat, or they die. FACT. Food provides memories. Food provides traditions. There is nothing better than cooking for family and friends providing good hearty food, in fact it is these family and friends that have pushed me into putting down my recipes into print. So, I have gathered my favourite recipes, thoughts and visuals and ploughed them into this book paying respect to the format that captured my attention as a child. Simple, economical recipes using basic methods. So here we are, this is my book, this is me, a lover of good ol’ home comfort food, indulging my creative side, with a drizzle of dark humour, a side serving of sarcasm and a pint of random to wash it down with.
