The scars on my wrists told a story he could never understand. Yet, he pushed me further. And I fell.
They say that the bullying stops when you stand up for yourself. But that’s a lie. He didn’t stop. It only got worse. That was until I gave him something I never should have. Now, he has a piece of me that I can never get back, and he’s coming for more.
This is a dark bully romance and contains references to self-harm, stalking, and other mature themes.
This is the first book I have read by this author but I won't be reading anything by her anytime soon. There were so many errors such as incorrect word usage and mistyped words that it was hard for me to focus on the actual story, which seemed rushed and lacked the details needed to make sense of the characters' actions and motivations. This book desperately needed a basic proofread, but I guess the author couldn't be bothered to even read it over once before rushing to publish. I like trashy romance as much as the next trashy romance lover, but I'm sick of authors publishing crap without investing in a proper editor (in this case it didn't even get proofread let alone edited). I wish people would stop buying books that are poorly written so the authors who don't care enough to actually put effort into their craft would be motivated to try a little harder.
Virginia had lost her mother in a car accident. She struggled the loss mentally and physically. Her and her father relocated after a few years of the accident. Virginia started attending Granite Hills Academy. There she caught the attention of Atlas Montgomery, captain of the football team. But he bullied her more than anything. She couldn't imagine why he chose her out of everybody else to bully except that she was new. Then it happened. When Virginia needed someone, Atlas came to her rescue. Their relationship tendered between love and hate. But maybe what they needed all this time was to clear the air. Could the past be put in the past?
Rating 3.5 stars. Virginia and Atlas have a good basic story, but I think Atlas has to step up the bullying, especially due to the twist that ties them together. I do like that Virginia also has that other issue to deal with that gets taken care of at the end. I don't want to give anything away, so I won't give hints :). I know this is an ARC so hopefully the editing will be taken care of before the final is released. Overall, I liked the story.

The writing will draw you in after only a few pages and have you finishing the book in one sitting. There is the perfect amount of angst and romance and grit to keep you hooked. I would suggest picking up a copy asap, you will not be disappointed.

It's an alright book. I gave it 3 stars because the story is coherent, there are no plot holes, few grammar errors, and the characters were somewhat fleshed out.
However, I did find the story itself boring. There weren't enough twists and turns that would make it interesting. Also, needs less monologues and more pushing the story forward.
This is a bully/enemies to lovers romance. The characters are well described. The story line has plenty of drama and suspense. If you like enemies to lovers you will love this one.

This book was ok. A lot of misspelling and would have like alittle more from Atlas. Can’t see him bullying her and just getting over it because he saw her naked.

I liked Atlas & Virginia's story. It was a suspenseful & drama filled book. I received a free copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Beautiful cover but the story left a lot to be desired. I will not be continuing. Rushed, forced... this had so much potential and I'm not sure why it wrapped up so fast without any of those happy content feelings we have at the ending a book.
