This was such a good story. I had no idea what I was in for when I accepted listening to this in exchange for leaving an honest review. I didn't read the publisher's summary ahead of time and went in blind. The story was good and sucked me in. I couldn't put it down. It's short so it's an easy listen in a single sitting. The narrator did a great job.
There was a sample of a second story (9 chapters) after this one ended. It's called Orphan: Sounds of Evil and now I'm sucked into that one as well. I just purchased it so I can finish the story. I am going to find more of his works and am a fan of Jonathan Vase now.
Disclaimer: I've been listening at 2x speed for so long anything else sounds like slow motion. My enjoyment of the narrator is based on my listening speed. I only leave 5 stars for books I've listened to multiple times. I'll update my review if I listen again.
I requested this book from the author, narrator, or publisher in exchange for an honest, unbiased review. I would have gladly purchased this title.
