This book on the Holy Spirit includes a great introduction to who the Holy Spirit is, where He is throughout the timeline of Scripture, and how He is often symbolized by Scripture (and, therefore, the church).
I was most edified by the more detailed chapters which followed the introductory material. Pope Shenouda gives us an image of the man who is on fire with the Holy Spirit. He gives us this beautiful picture of someone who is fervent in his service, his repentance, his own salvation, and also the salvation of others. He contrasts this with the man who quenches the Spirit, who is spiritually lukewarm or cold, who has no spiritual consistency and integrity, and who has yet to unite his flesh with his spirit, guided by the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. And as always, Pope Shenouda calls us to repentance through these teachings.
This book was easy to follow and translated well with authentic modern English. I read most of it in one sitting over a few hours.
