A male Eliza Doolittle meets a female Professor Higgins.

Having completed his military service, Prince Marco diTalora of San Rimini wants only one thing on his return home: his freedom. He has good reason for avoiding the public eye, and little interest in his father’s plans to immerse him in royal life. In the hours before his brother’s high-profile wedding, he dodges the media hordes for a few hours of respite.

Amanda Hutton is an ace at her job, working with children of the rich and famous to ensure they have the skills to navigate life in the public eye. But she’s between clients and under financial stress, so when she’s invited to serve as a royal bridesmaid in beautiful San Rimini, she views the trip as an essential escape.

Amanda soon finds herself hunting down Prince Marco and dragging him out of a casino’s private gaming room. When she gets him to the church on time, she figures her interaction with the rebellious—and flirtatious—prince is over. But then King Eduardo offers her the solution to her financial woes in the form of a job…and it’s not a child he wants her to tutor, it’s Prince Marco.

It’s an offer she can’t refuse. Then again, Marco just might have something to teach Amanda.

The Prince’s Tutor is the third book in the Royal Scandals: San Rimini series. The six-book series includes:

• Fit for a Queen
• Going to the Castle
• The Prince’s Tutor
• The Knight’s Kiss
• Falling for Prince Federico
• To Kiss a King

NOTE FROM NICOLE: My Goodreads library is by no means comprehensive. I have thousands of books on my real (as opposed to my Goodreads) bookshelves. However, my Goodreads library only contains those books I'd give four or five stars and would recommend to friends without hesitation (and I haven't gotten around to listing all those yet.)

Today may not be a fairytale, but tomorrow could have it's own happy ending. Burnham continues to tap into the heartache that makes us human and the hope that gives us the courage to try again. Marco and Amanda take a classic tale that has forever held a special place in my heart and make it their own. The Prince's Tutor is a life lesson. Burnham spins a tale of life and love that blossoms out of a unique set of circumstances. With an empathetic sense of grace and a fearless sense of character, Burnham pulls the heart into a mesmerizing wonder of love.

The Prince’s Tutor
Nicole Burnham

In this latest entry into Nicole Burnham’s San Rimini series, Amanda Hutton is attending the wedding of her best friend to the Crown Prince of San Rimini. The king decides to hire her, the daughter of an American diplomat, to guide Prince Marco in how to successfully maneuver life in the public eye. Somehow, due to Circumstances, Marco has never been comfortable as a Royal, and until now has lived what appears to be a carefree, reckless existence, not wanting responsibility, just fun. Since Amanda teaches children of diplomats how to comport and protect themselves, the King decides she would be the perfect tutor for his youngest son.

I really liked both Marco and Amanda. Both have issues which have made them who they are, and they quickly grow to like and respect each other. We watch Marco and Amanda’s deepening friendship and growth as adults, as they quickly grow to respect and simply like each other. Then Nicole throws in the growing attraction between Amanda and Marco, and you have a fun story.

My only issue with this book is that the timeline was too short for the plot to work well for me. I can see the instant attraction, and even the almost instantaneous building of a friendship, but one of my first thoughts when finishing the book was that to build such a solid relationship it takes more time. As a complaint, this was a minor one, but took a half a star away from my rating. I don’t like finishing a book analyzing what I didn’t like about it. Therefore, I rate this 4.5 out of 5 stars.

The Prince’s Tutor
Royal Scandals: San Rimini #3

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I adored the previous story in this series, so was looking forward to Prince Marco and his happy ever after. Prince Marco diTalora is San Rimini’s bad boy. He spends his time, boat racing, hiking and skiing with his friends, so when Prince Antony weds his love, Jennifer, Marco must step up in royal family. His fear over large groups and speeches creates the kings newest project. Enter etiquette coach Amanda Sutton.

Amanda Sutton is Jennifer’s best friend and is in San Rimini as Jennifer’s maid of honour. Imagine her surprise when the king asks her to take on Prince Marco to prepare him to take a larger role in the royal family. They don’t start off well, when she finds him at a casino mere hours before his brothers wedding, but working one on one, brings new drama… Their chemistry is hot from first glance, and only heats up in the days and weeks following.

Seeing Marco pass his first real test, Amanda is so very proud, and they celebrate in their own personal way. But when life takes a turn at the palace, her own life comes to the forefront and the truth that she can never have a life with Prince Marco, and the rest of the royal family. Leaving her with no other option then to return the states and her old life. For Marco letting her leave was never an option, but as his fathers pushes for arranged marriages, he must decide – marry for real love or marry for convenience. Antony paves the way for Marco to make his choice easy, as long as he doesn’t lose her first.

This is Book 3 of Royal Scandals: San Rimini Series.

This is the story of Marco & Amanda. Marco is a crowned Prince. Amanda teaches children of high society how to speak at special occasions, and politely have a conversation without getting to close to people who are after money or titles. They meet when the bride, her best friend, sends her to find Marco so he is not late for the wedding. The King hires Amanda as a tutor for Marco because he is very uncomfortable at social gatherings. They keep denying their feelings for each other. Amanda holds a secret within her. Marco doesn't want to deal with anymore loss as he felt when his mother died. It all comes to fruition as time goes by. This is an intriguing story. It grabs your attention from beginning to end. I'm looking forward to Book 4 of this series.

Prince Marco diTalora is San Rimini's version of a royal bad boy. His aversion to any political or royal duty is widely known. Why work when you can play? Enter one Amanda Hutton, an etiquette expert who teaches the children of high profile professionals, politicians, celebrities etc. how to navigate being in the public spotlight. Now she's been engaged to impart her wisdom to Prince Marco. His success will guarantee her future success. Marco finds that he's more comfortable with Amanda than any other person in his life other than his family and close friends. Amanda is not immune to Marco's charisma or easy going nature but there's no future for them because she has a dark secret and he's a prince, after all.

Solid storyline with nothing missing. Romance, drama, challenges and an HEA ending! Nicole Burnham never disappoints! This third book in the San Rimini series is just as strong, inviting and satisfying as her first two books. Great to read the series in order but not necessary! Great stand-alone story of Prince Marco, the Monarcy’s youngest member, and an American children’s protocol teacher. What can she teach him and what will he learn! Both teacher and student learn love’s truest lesson!

I really liked the story of Amanda and Marco. They took a little while to get where they wanted, but they did so in an effort to better each other. Of course, there were a few moments where fear was a hindrance, but eventually they were each able to overcome that for each other. I also liked that Amanda was a few years older than Marco. I don’t see it as often as I’d like - it’s always the other way around. But here, we have Amanda being the stable and responsible one that guided (not mothered) Marco into accepting who he was and in gaining confidence in his abilities.

Nicole Burnham is one of my favorite authors writing one of my favorite troupes in romance. She has built a beautiful world to get lost into with characters that I've gotten invested in. This was such a sweet read that provoked my emotions of heartbreak as well as heartwarming. Prince Marco and Amanda make a wonderful couple that I hope to see in other books. This will be worth putting in my to be read again collection.

I love the San Rimini series and The Prince’s Tutor is no different. Love that the siblings are close and always there for each other. Marco’s story is a little sad. He was there when his mom passed away, saw how his father, the king suffered of broken heart so he avoided love all together until he met Amanda. Can’t wait for the next books and hear about Jennifer and Anthony.

Nicole Burnham has done it again. The third book in the San Rimini series is awesome. I couldn't put this book down. I loved Prince Marco and Amanda's fairy tale romance. This story shows that even though Marco had money he still had areas in his life where he needed Amanda's help to excel in. I'm so glad Marco decided to marry for love and not to have a marriage of convenience.

Exceptional story

The reading of this book was exceptional in every way. From beginning to end I truly enjoyed the story of Amanda and Marco. I haven't read the others yet but if they are anything like The Prince's Tutor I know I will love them. Well done Nicole Burnham. You out did yourself. And thank you.

I loved how this story began with the Maid of Honour trying to find the Best man so he would not he late for her best friend’s wedding to his brother. Marco does not like to be in the public eye but that is a bit difficult for him since he is a prince in San Rimini. This book carries on from the previous one since the crown prince is getting married to Jennifer. Marco and Amanda meet in a local casino where he is quite comfortable with his friends.
The king decides Marco needs help to be more comfortable in the public eye and hires Amanda to be his tutor. The plot is a good one and it does work. The reader gets a behind the scene view of what might actually occur in real royal life and the royal duties they are required to perform. The dialogue is very realistic and the attraction of Marco and Amanda to each other can not be ignored. The relationship does start with a spark at the wedding but then appears to smoulder slowly on.
The ending is great, I loved where it was staged. I will say no more in case of spoilers.
This book did not disappoint in the series, I can not wait to read the next one.

This is the third book in the Royal Scandals: San Rimini. It focuses on Prince Marco the youngest sone of the King of San Rimini who has just returned from military service after college in the United States and Amanda Hutton, a tutor who helps youthful students deal with the complexity of life in the public eye, particularly if they are from a very rich or prominent family.

After Amanda tracks the Prince down in a casino's private gaming room to attend his brother's wedding, they are tossed together by the King who wants Amanda to help the Prince deal with civilian life in the Palace. Amanda is hesitant because she does not work with adults, but consents. She sets up an event that Prince Marco can succeed at (love the race), but then life of others interferes. This shows how they can deal with the problems that life throws at you and end up successful.

This is an expansion of a previously released book (from the 2002). I have not read that book but thoroughly enjoyed this book. Note, I was given a digital ARC of this book for an honest review.

Prince Marco doesn't want to act as he should. And certainly doesn't want the attention, well except to flirt and relax with some gambling amongst friends, that is until Amanda retrieves him for his brothers wedding.

Amanda is surprised by the prince but that doesn't stop her fr helping her best friend out. Same rational when it comes to the king's proposal.

This story gives you all the good chemistry, push and pull, and emotional feels.

I really enjoyed reading this book and further more into this series.

It's been the best relief right now, pushing me into a beautifully crafted world of royalty and Cinderella moments.

Cannot wait for the next book.
