THIS WAS INSANE!!!!!!! The plot twists in this literally blew my mind, the world building and the story line was just incredible. I really didn’t want to put this book down, every time i thought things were going well… a plot twist or a death threat or whatever came out of nowhere. I still can’t wrap my head around the madness that occurred in this series, like WOW. The things that some characters did in this baffled me, Catherine especially. She was evil!!!! It was so gripping and shocking, like at times I got goosebumps and felt like I was being watched. super creepy vibes. i love when books have this major affect on me, it just makes the reading experience so much better. I went into this book blind and honestly I’m so glad I did, I had no clue what I was getting into and it just completely blew me away. I definitely recommend going into this blind but it is very dark, gory and smutty. Riley, Beck, Dante, Eddy, Jasper, Dylan and Evan; This story was incredible and I’m going to miss them all so much 😢
The beginning of this book intrigued me, then as I kept reading I was captivated. Riley has been through so much, and I felt for her. I was loved her sassiness and survivor spirit. She was thrust into a new life, and this group of 4 guys do not want her there. But there was an incident that shocked me, and it bonded them which I was happy to read. Riley was drawn to Beck, and so was I. He was a controlling, cocky jerk, but I couldn’t wait for the layers to be peeled back. The other 3 guys were just as interesting, and I couldn’t wait to get know them better either. The end was shocking, and I couldn’t wait to start the next book!
Broken Trust
I felt so much for Riley at the beginning of this book. But as the book went on, I started to feel like she was being stubborn and willful and maybe a little stupid when she’s not, and I wanted to shake her! We did get the layers peeled back with Beck, and it was just as good as I thought it would be. I do love a bad boy with a soft side that is only for their love/heroine. There are some jaw dropping revelations in this book, and I couldn’t read fast enough! This series has consumed me, and I can’t wait to read the 3rd book!
Broken Legacy
Wow, the beginning of this book had shocking revelations, and it got crazier from there! I loved how strong Riley and Beck were as a couple in this book, even if they did still fight and bicker! Riley was one bad-a$$ woman in this book! She went through so much but came out stronger in the end. This was a stunning conclusion to a dark, dangerous and intense series that I absolutely devoured and highly recommend.
A delicious dark addictive omnibus. Please note its intense, with triggers in abuse, sexual abuse. Please be warned. Those of you who proceed to read this be prepared to be dragged into a dark, delicious angst driven love story. Book 1. Broken wings. Riley's life goes topsy-turvy in a very dark, sinister way. Book is filled with a wicked dark dastardly deeds of megalomaniacs, private school, cars that the fast and furious dream of. Sexual tension is addictive. Whole book is addictive. Book2 Broken trust. Darker, meaner and guaranteed nightmarish yet I couldn't stop reading, the angst driven Plot kept me paging even the harshness of attempted gang assault didn't stop me. The dark and twisted was exhilarating. Book3 Broken legacy. Heart breaking turmoil but our girl is stronger. The bonds between them grow and strengthen. The 5 now plan to fight back. Plot twist had me locked in and I could not stop reading. Absolutely addictive. An excellent story from page one to the final in last book had me gripped, ensnared, trapped and I loved it.
❤❤❤OMG!!!!❤❤❤ This is one of the best series I came across to (this year). This trilogy revolves around the steamy romance between Bastian and Butterfly along with the problems the delta heirs have to face. Sebastian Ronan Beckett is the son of Rome Beckett (one of the five delta seniors) while Riley Deboise is the daughter of Richard and Catherine Deboise (one of the five delta seniors). The five delta heirs are Beck ,Riley ,Dylan ,Jasper and Evan .The five of them share something the five delta seniors lack: the bond between them . The Huntley corporation has always been the biggest rival of Militant Delta. Will the Delta heirs be able to protect Militant Delta while dealing with the Delta seniors? LETS DIVE IN AND FIND OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I only downloaded this for the extra epilogue as I’ve already read the series. I loved getting the chance to see where the team ended up down the road. I loved this series and how everything unfolded. Things change so much from the start of the series to the end. It’s crazy how much I disliked beck in the start and how much I loved him at the end. I always find it awesome when authors are able to make that happen. Riley is one bad A*$ chick and I admired her ability to hold her own against the guys. I plan to read this again soon but I couldn’t wait to read the whole series again before reading the new part.
I couldn’t put this book/series down! So many intriguing parts and tragedy. There were more than a few times when I gasped at the turn in the story- it was surprising and I loved every turn. I was so engrossed in the story, I wanted more about Oscar and his death and more details to how the delta world worked. I know Riley was meant for Beck but I found myself completely in love with Dylan so I will definitely be hoping his story comes out. I love how all the boys fell in love with Riley (platonically speaking) and it made me so happy to see them become her new family and so protective! Just a great read overall!!
This trilogy had me at the edge of my seat!! I dont think I've ever finished a book so quickly! Every chapter had me hungry for me, clinging to every single page! The story was beautifully told with budding romance and a fair share of action and intensity! I was constantly reading this book through tears and angst with dashes of anger. It is incredibly hard not to fall in love with every character in this book and feel the betrayl as harshly as they do! Incredible book and something you will absolutely not regret reading!
I'm not sure where to start. I've passed over this series multiple times due to some of the reviews I initially read but then someone mentioned it in the Jaymin Eve fb group and I decided to give it a try and wtf! I wish I would have read sooner!!! It had everything I love!! I love Riley, Eddy, B, and the guys!!! Can't wait for Jasper and Evans story. I highly suggest giving this book a try!
I'll admit when I read the blurb for these books I wasn't sure I'd be into them because I'm a lover of fantasy books but whew these books were so good and saucy at the same time I could barely put them down until i finished them down... I've read most of Jaymin's books but this is the first I've read something by Tate James.
This is definitely a bit dark and twisted at times but so good..
riley's one of the most annoying heroines ive ever met. she's whiny, too mouthy, which she thinks is 'sassy and badass', and just plain gets on my nerves everytime she opens her mouth and produces sounds. im all for feminism and supporting women, but i just...couldn't with her. i like brooke much, MUCH more, but i still really like this series.
When I first came across this series I put it onto my TBR thinking I would read it when I got the chance. After a month of it sitting on my kindle I finally took the plunge and wow did I wish I read this series earlier. I finished all three books in two days. TWO DAYS! I loved this series. It had everything I loved put into one series.
This series focuses on Riley and what happens when her past meets her present and she’s thrust into the world of the rich and powerful. The series follows her journey as she meets a group of boys who help her realize who she really is. As they start to get close, Sebastian, otherwise known as Beck and Riley is constantly fighting. However, this taunting and teasing eventually turn into intense love and protection, which is something I loved about this series. All the boys would do anything for Riley as she would for them and as things come to light, lives are at risk.
I really don’t want to give too much away but this book had it all - the angst, the energy, the fire, the feels, the mystery, the violence, the love, everything. This is by far one of the better series I have read and will definitely be doing a reread of in the future! The book was really well written and I consumed this series. Highly recommend and cannot wait for Dylan’s book!!
Broken Wings I really loved this book. The characters ( even though I wanted too throttle some of them at times) I enjoyed. Riley is a tough chick and I love that she doesn’t put up with any of the guys crap. I love the friendship between Riley & Dante but something tells me he might want more but Beck might have something too say about that. The ending was crazy and I definitely need the next book ASAP.
Broken Trust
Another mind blowing read that had me glued too my kindle. Every emotion that Riley felt, you felt too and damn what an emotional rollercoaster this book was. Lies, betrayal and secrets that become exposed you will definitely want the next book ASAP.
Broken Legacy Omg this book will have you glued from page one. I absolutely love Beck and Riley together. There chemistry is off the charts. This was a crazy good read and the twists was insane. An amazing story with amazing characters that will have you wanting more. Truly an amazing read that everyone must check this series out.
Omg I absolutely love this series and too get bonus content was priceless. I absolutely love Riley and Beck together and this bonus was perfect.
I stumbled across this series after finishing the Kit Davenport series by Tate James (which I LOVED) and as the Dark Legacy series is co-written by Tate James I was keen to start it.
The main character is Riley. We start the book with Riley’s parents dying in a car accident and she finds herself being immersed in a new and dangerous world. This world comes with Beck, Dylan, Jasper and Evan; 4 close friends who are heirs to a huge empire. Along with a new best friend and an old best friend we follow Riley and the boys as they battle their way to the top.
This series was very different from the Kit Davenport one but I was immediately hooked. This is not a supernatural thriller and although there are hot sex scenes, there are a lot less in the Dark Legacy series than there was in the Kit Davenport series. I found the characters immediately likeable and the chemistry between Riley and Beck is written really well. The story flows at a good pace and I was kept interested the whole time. There are a few twists and turns in the storyline, some I saw coming and some I didn’t but it’s a nice easy read.
Overall, I loved it and will look to read more by Jaymin Eve.
One of my favorite series ever. I have been known to be addicted to romance novels, like I can read 3 in a weekend, and I have never taken the time to write a goodreads review. But this book demands it. The character development is great and the story is superb. Sebastian, the hero, fits the dream man arch perfectly, and the heroine doesn't annoy me at all (like many young-adult romance heroines do) and is strong and independent. I go through so many books that I often forget the minor plot details, but that definitely won't happen with this one -- it has already put me into a book hangover post-finishing. I have kindle unlimited, but I won't ever be removing this one from my self, as I will likely be coming back to it over and over. I highly recommend and wish I had the chance to read it for the first time again!
This series is one of my absolute favourites! As soon as we meet Riley we know she is going to be a sassy, strong heroine, and that she is! The rollercoaster that Riley, Beck and the guys go on is a rocky one but each hurdle makes them closer and stronger.
Riley and Beck were drawn to eachother from the beginning and through all their struggles their love remained strong and I rooted for them all the way🖤
Dylan😍😩😩 I love him and I can’t wait to find out where things take him in his solo book.
5 ⭐️ book and will definitely be re read in the future!
I love, love, love this twisted tale. It is dark in a way you don't see coming. Wealthy doesn't even begin to cover it. Family doesn't always mean blood. I am not normally a fan of h.s / college age tropes but this is anything but typical. They are beyond their years. I binge read the series in a little less than 2 days. who needs sleep?!. Also, this is not a harem. Otherwise, if it's a trigger-it is most likely here. And my boys, oof. They make you love to hate them and visa vera.
loved this series!! Just wish Riley wasn't such a damsel in distress. I think maybe halfway through this first book or after book one she'd be more of a bad ass and not such a baby after everything she went through you'd think she'd be more tough and determined to do what's best to protect herself and her family but in a sense she was just so weak. 🙄 anyway other then that it was deff a good book! I love tate james and Jaymin eve. Slowly waiting for more books like Madison Kate. 🥰🥰 love me some dark romance and reverse harem books. My favvvvv!!!
This series is full of broken people living in a broken world. It does have a happily ever after, but they're put through hell to get there. Each book gets darker and more insane than the last, and the ending will leave you breathless. The bonus epilogue is so much fun as well. If you were already a fan of the series, I reccomend picking this book up just to see what the gang has been up to for the last three years.
4⭐️ ‘Broken Wings’ is book one in the co-authored series Dark Legacy written by Jaymin Eve and Tate James. I love both these authors so I couldn’t go past the opportunity to read something that they wrote together.
Going in I had no idea what was to be expected from this book, the synopsis intrigued me. I was not disappointed! I even got my husband to listen to the audiobook, which he doesn’t listen to books that ain’t MC themed. (He enjoyed it.)
Riley recently lost her parents in a car accident, now her birth parents want her back. Having no choice but to go with her birth mum, Riley is put in the middle of a world she does not fit in, surrounded by spoilt, rich, egotistical, pretentious males. Sebastian (Beck), Dylan, Jasper and Evan are the Delta boys, the ones that all the males want to be and the guys all the girls want to be with. The Delta boys rule Ducis Academy and everyone in the town. But there is much more behind the Delta boys and Riley is going to find out the hard way, and the real reason behind her being brought to the Deboise Estate.
I really enjoyed reading about Riley and the Delta boys. Riley is a strong kicka** chick that is willing to stand up for herself and the ones she calls family. She doesn’t obey just because she is female and the males tell her to do something. The Delta boys are each unique and wonderful characters, each bring something different to the groups dynamic. Although Riley’s life was turned upside down after her parents crash, she makes new friends in the town and finds her way quickly in the new world she is in.
Now it’s hard to praise or comment on how wonderful this book is without giving away spoilers so I’m only going to say, get this book and read it for yourself and see what I’m talking about. But FYI this is a big cliffhanger so make sure to have book two ready to go.
4⭐️ ‘Broken Trust’ is book two in the co-authored series Dark Legacy written by Jaymin Eve and Tate James.
‘Broken Trust’ continues on from book one ‘Broken Wings’ ends. Now you’ve read book one and you know that Riley has been betrayed/set up, she was “blackmailed” into killing someone to save her bf Dante. If you haven’t read ‘Broken Wings’ stop reading this review right now, close this page and look it up and read it, right NOW!
Riley has had her life flipped upside down, threatened, almost killed several times, thrown into a world she doesn’t understand. Just when she started to feel like a part of the Delta group she is pushed into something she wants nothing to do. Now betrayed by the Delta guys Dylan, Jasper, Evan and ‘boyfriend’ Beck, Riley needs to protect her bf Dante and save his life.
I enjoyed reading this book much more then book one ‘Broken Wings’, I especially loved Beck’s povs. But I did find that Riley had lost some of her bada** chick mojo that she had in ‘BW’. I found her to be contradicting herself, whiny, and a bit of a hypocrite, but towards the 50% mark she was back to being the Riley I enjoyed reading. The guys were great as usual, there overly protectiveness was cute to see. I started to dislike and distrust Dante in ‘BW’ but I feel there is more to his story than what this duo authors have shared so far. Also Deb*tch must meet her end soon. The twist, turns and revelations had me glued to the pages.
Can’t wait to get into ‘Broken Legacy’. Well done ladies, really enjoying this series.
4⭐️ ‘Broken Legacy’ is book three in the co-authored series Dark Legacy written by Jaymin Eve and Tate James. Books one ‘Broken Wings’ and book two ‘Broken Trust’ must be read prior to this one.
Riley must now figure out how to help get the charges against Dante dropped, while mending her relationship with the Delta guys. This is no easy task especially when there is a stalker out to get her. Riley along with Beck, Jasper, Dylan and Evan need to get evidence that the five heads of the Delta group are corrupt, prove that Dante is being set up and is innocent, and figure out who is sending threatening letters to Riley. Secrets will be revealed.
All I can say is that I was so freaking glad that this series was completed prior to me attempting to read it, cause these cliffhangers would have been the end of me. I could barely hold out for a day before I could read the next, I can image how I would have made it having to wait for the next book. These authors have done a fabulous job with this series, the characters are relatable, and phenomenal to read, watching the bond/connections that have developed and flourish between each and every character was fantastic. The storyline was intriguing, fast paced, engaging, and highly addictive. I’m a little said that it has come to an end.
Riley’s character has grown so much since ‘BW’ being thrown into a world she knew nothing about she has adjusted and come out stronger and smarter. Along with the help from the Delta guys, Beck, Dylan, Jasper and Evan, also Eddy needs a huge mention, she is the BFF every girl needs in their corner.
Well done ladies!!!
The bonus scene at the end after three years was so beautiful. To see how life has been for these characters after all the trouble, drama and tragedy they have all experienced. Riley and Beck are still fantastic together. But to see that Beck has more life in him, the whole smiling, laughing and joking was refreshing, he wasn’t so moody and tightly wound with the less stress in his life. Butterfly really did help him get a life after all.
I loved this story about Sebastian Roman Beckett (Beck), Dylan Grant, Jasper Eugene Langham, Evan Lincoln Rothwell and Riley Jameson (Duboise). I also loved Eddie and Dante. I loved their journey and cannot wait to read the next book coming soon either Evan, Jasper or Dylan.
Wow, not often does something leave me speechless with a book hangover. I did keep expecting this to turn into something, and it didn't, and I have had a tough time finding the tropes in this series. Trust, family, and danger are constant themes, as well as twisted trials and tribulations. This series just became my favorite read this year; it is perfect.
The first book starts tragic and is more young adults beginning with an academy and getting more twisted as you progress in the story. The characters are teenagers and college students, but the steamy sections and drama are more suited for a more mature age. The book is centered around five teenagers who are heirs to massive fortunes, but it gets twisted, has dark themes, and is filled with enigma heroes and a sassy heroine. Riley is thrust into a complicated world; she is damaged, lost, and troubled. This book is as thrilling as it is confusing and unpredictable, but one heck of a read. This series is seriously addicting; I don't know why I waited so long to read this.
The cliffhanger left me gasping in shock and led into book two, which is more bully romance but way darker and has a trigger warning. By this point, the drama was relentless, and I couldn't put this down; I was along for the ride. The author does a great job of putting you in the first person perspective connecting you with Riley and how she is feeling and what she is experiencing. Book two ends and leads straight into Book Three. I love the protective Alpha Males with Sebastian, Jasper, Evan, and Dylan, as well as the bad boy vibes.
This third book is spellbinding; the plot does get a little sidetracked. It's a complicated and much more new adult fiction, but I am already so hooked on the characters I couldn't put it down if I tried. The dark themes persist as well as the action and drama. I love the steamy scenes and edge-of-your-seat page-turning plot line in this entire series. I'm completely hooked on the drama that is The Hiers. Book three ends perfectly, and that bonus epilogue fills me with joy.
I love the bonus epilogue. Oh, I will have to read that. Omg, could we get more of some of these characters in the future?
Overall this was a fantastic read. The story hooks you profoundly with tragedy, emotions, and thrilling sequences. I could read this again and again. They must be read in order, and the Compete Series makes the most sense. Don't miss out on this 5-star read.
*May have spoilers * I love jaymin eve. I read as many stories of hers as I can. However with doing that, they tend to start sounding the same. “He made a grumbly sound”, “I’ve love you from day one even though I was being a jerk”. I guess I’m just wondering if she is capable of writing older characters with emotional maturity. I mean I know I’m old (35) but seriously. The FMC being mad at the boys because they didn’t warn her..eye roll. Her need to keep calling the MMC a one night thing or denying her feelings (very over used in her books), like let’s be realistic here. All women aren’t going to be “badass” and able to avoid falling for someone, like all of her characters. Then there is all the teen angst I mean it’s simple stay with the boys and be safe or keep trying to prove your dominance and not be safe. Yeah I’m going with the safety, I’ll find somewhere else to find my dominance. The being poor too rich thing also over used in her books. The naughty scenes are actually pretty tame and vanilla. I skipped through most of them because again this was a child. The supreme stubbornness of the FMC was more like stupidity, which made her look more immature and weak. These are teenagers who can showcase really grown up actions (living alone, living with a boy, racing, sneaking out, killing people), but you can’t figure out your emotions. Well okay I guess.
So as a series it was okay. I enjoyed the first two books but the final one seemed to go in a weird direction with the stalker thing. It seemed like it just didn’t fit in the narrative at all. We already had a ton of plot lines that were developed and needed answering but instead we were introduced to a brand new plot almost at the end of the series. I know that James loves a good stalker but Eve should have talked her down from that. I didn’t feel like the company stuff was fully fleshed out. No one ever really clued Riley into what the company was about and she always seemed a little dumb for not asking. The vault was a big deal in the third book and they had this plan that never played out fine but Richard brought it up again at the end and then the guys and Riley never went back to it. I don’t know it just seemed like in the end we got sidetracked with a stalker and we lost sight of some things already introduced that could have been threshed out more. I for sure thought this would end in a RH situation but maybe I just wanted that. All in all I suggest you give it a go. It had some intrigue and steam but doesn’t finish in a perfect bow by any means.
Finished this whole series in just a few days. It was addictive and hot AF. The tension between them is off the charts. It's dark and compelling. The characters are deep and damaged, but they have an unbreakable bond that strengthens them. Because of that they are able to see good and love. Overall I loved this series and excited to read more about the other guys. Dylan was my second fav.
First book thoughts: Catherine is diabolical. I wished we knew more about Oscar Second book: Riley is way too stubborn and I wanted to shake her but I get that she dealing with her grief on top of everything else so it definitely clouds things for her. Third book: the extra killer seemed a little over the top on top of the delta stuff. Poor Riley is always getting injured. Again... Catherine is diabolical.
I wish there had been more racing. Loved that element for her. Great read.
Since falling in love with Poison Roses I'm going through Tate and Jaymin's backlist and let me tell you it's fantastic!
"His arms closed around me, and some of the darkness inside faded. It was kind of ironic that the darkest guy I knew, was the source of my light. But there you had it."
Dark Legacy is just like it sounds. A dark romance but no reverse harem. I actually enjoyed that it wasn't a reverse harem. This has excitement and intrigue as Riley finds herself thrust into this secret billionaires club. There's trust issues and betrayals from the Delta boys and Dante and I cried through some of it. Riley is a strong, feisty FMC and I love that she's a street racer! I still think Dylan is my favorite but I hope each guy gets their own story! Jasper and Evan grew on me by the end! I need to know they all get a HEA!!!
Wow. I wish I hadn't read this so quickly as I'm sad it's over, but I couldn't put it down! Such a good series! Amazing characters - Riley is believable and relatable, fierce and strong but still totally human and needs those connections that we all do. The boys are awesome, not too cruel but still dark, strong and sexy. The type we love to hate, at first anyway. Steamy romance - the relationship is hot and meant to be from the start and I loved every second. They clearly need each other. The danger and action are awesome - there are multiple strands to this storyline which keep it exciting and there's never a dull moment - what more could I ask for? Loved it and look forward to reading others from these authors 👌
