A prequel to the novella Code of the Skies. The Kharadron of Barak-Nar have entered into a business arrangement with the Stormcast Eternals of the Sigmarite Brotherhood, but the initial work on a Stormkeep has revealed tunnels running deep beneath the surface, which need exploring before work can continue.
Set shortly after the end of the Realmgate Wars, it takes a clever approach to showing the lingering effects of Chaos in the Mortal Realms through the rivalry between the two main Kharadron characters. It does raise the question of whether it’s better to reveal existing characters’ backstories or retain a little mystery, but as a standalone adventure it’s action-packed and entertaining.
The fact that the characters spend most of this story under the influence of an anger-curse means that it's hard to really like them at all. I think the sacrifice at the end of this story and the relationships between the characters would've been a lot more engaging if this were part of a longer story, which I honestly would've liked a lot.
