U.S. Marshal Shorty Thompson #79

You Shot Me Once!: Never Again!

Rate this book
Twenty two year old Roy Dale rode the few miles into town to get his mother two spools of sewing thread, one brown the other white.

He tied his horse one hitch rail over from the dress shop.

He was asked by a man who had just stopped in front of the bank. “Hey fellow, want to earn yore self four bits?”

“Could, what do you want?”

“Need you to hold my hoss a couple minutes.”

He pitched a half dollar to Roy and looped the right rein over the saddle horn, dismounting and handed Roy the left one. “Be right back.”

Three minutes later he walked out of the bank and mounted saying thanks. While turning his horse, he drew his pistol and shot Roy, then slowly rode off up the street and turned a corner before anyone even knew where the shot came from.

Thought I would be reading 📚about Shorty Thompson but this story is more about the Robin Hood of the old West. Harland starts off as the "Grim Reaper" of the old West , but you will enjoy reading how quickly all the bad turns good!

Definitely another five star masterpiece by Mr. Paul Thompson, and this tale is a completely new concept by the Master of old American western folklore adventures. The suspenseful moments are somewhat tantalizing at times, but compassion over rides the bad and the ending is definitely worthy of your following the outstanding storylines. Too, the unbelievable selection of characters definitely maintains your undivided attention, as they continuously fulfilled their assigned roles to perfection.
There is an extraordinarily outstanding family-friendly accounting of the "bad guy," as he changes his life style, becoming an extraordinarily outstanding citizen of each and every area he visits. I could not put this book aside until the final paragraph was read. Mr. Thompson certainly when t above and beyond in this compassionate rendition of how a man's upbringing can bring about earth shattering changes in the end.
Definitely recommend this compassionately entertaining story to all readers, regardless of your reading pleasure, but you western addicted fanatics will, most certainly, find yourselves completely mesmerized by Harland's change of events. Give this compassionate storytelling masterpiece a try, or the loss is all yours!😄

You Shot Me Once! - Never Again

Again, Mr. Thompson wrote a great read with strong characters who show not only the very worse that a man can be, but that doesn't mean that he has to die just because he's too stupid to change. Sometimes even stupid people can learn a new way to live. Great read!

MISJUDGED ACTIONS

This is a tear-jerker and it points out that VENGENCE isn't a means to an end. Just another good western illustrating how hard it was staying alive. The West was a tough unforgiving piece of property.

Good Story

Kinda weird but still enjoyable book with interesting characters and plot. I did give it four because of the poor editing.

You shot me once!- Me never again!

This was a great action read with a soft twist. The characters are realistic and all you can imagine that they are trying to be.

Just what was needed

Paul Thompson writes such a good story that I've finally given up on my bad grammar and spelling horrors. And that tells you a lot!
I love this one of hate and bad actions, realization and redemption.
