Dog Park Sweethearts by Sasha Summers

Contemporary romance. First in the series.
Autumn and Noah have been meeting in the dog park 3 times a week since they each adopted their dogs. They are now best friends. Valentines Day is coming up soon and Noah’s next job may be far away. Do either of them dare to express their interest in more than friendship?

An Adorable friends to lovers story. So sweet and sappy I had to put it down a couple of times to make the book last a little longer. She is a bit kooky and that brings a smile of joy to his face. Every. Time. Not much angst. No heat. Just endearing romance.
That pure feeling of loving the couple, the story and a sweet, satisfying Happily Ever After.

Sometimes you just want a slow-burn, feel-good romance with zero drama and loveable characters, and that’s exactly what Sasha Summers brings her reader as best-friends Autumn and Noah focus on gently nudging their widowed parents together whilst completely oblivious to their own feelings for one another.

description I wasn’t looking for my person when we met. But now, here we are.”

Friendship, family and laughter are front and centre of what was a great introduction to the author’s writing and I can’t wait to return later this year for Autumn’s sister, Harley’s story. If a quirky, fun-loving heroine and a sweet, thoughtful hero plus their inseparable furbabies tickles your fancy, then this is definitely worth checking out.

Dog Park Sweetheart is a very sweet well written story. It is the first book I have read from Sasha Summers. What a great book to start off with from her as from the very beginning I fell in love with Noah and Autumn and there story of being best friends and the age old question of is risking everything for love worth it?
I enjoyed this book so much I am looking forward to reading more from.this series.or some.of her other books.

Super Sweet... and there are dogs!

This was a quick and enjoyable read. I wanted to change it up with a contemporary romance and this fit the bill. Adorable female main character - check, sexy and sweet male main character - check, adorable dogs that are maybe just a tad too well-behaved (I am a little jealous haha) - check, quirky little town with quirky town members - check! Read this book if you want to dive into a sweet little town and watch two people fall in love or realize they are already in love as they scheme to set up their parents. Can’t wait for Harley’s story.

This is a story about best friends who fall for each other. It is a sweet, no sex love story. The main characters, Autumn and Noah, are adorable and just right for each other. Their dogs are also best friends and are great secondary characters on their own. The HEA is as sweet as the rest of the story. I would have loved to have an epilogue to see where Autumn and Noah's story went after the "I love you's." Hopefully, we will find out more about them in Harley's book, which I'm really looking forward to reading.

This is a friends to lover story in the best sort of way. I enjoy all of the characters in this book. It is one of those feel goods where the kids are trying to do something nice for their parents and the parents are unwittingly doing the same thing for their kids. Autumn and Noah (the kids) are great together and have a lot of love to give. They are also best friends until there is a shift in their feelings and then it becomes more. Do they risk losing their friendship for a chance at love? This is definitely a feel good read. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

A charming, cute contemporary romance, this is also a story dog lovers will enjoy. The Welsh sisters are a delight! I actually read the second of the two Welsh sisters stories first because its seasonal title, Pumpkin Patch Sweethearts, caught my attention. I really don't think it matters in which order they are read, except that you know the ending of the first story at the beginning of the second. The setting of a small Texas town provides a cheery atmosphere. Both stories feature a dog park and encourage the adoption of shelter dogs. This is an uplifting quick read.

Noah and Autumn meet up three times a week, one day she brings coffee and the next time he does. They meet up at the dog park because they are good friends and their dogs Cobie and Baxter are best friends too. Noah enjoys his meetings with her and at first neither one thinks of each other as more than friends, but as time goes on they start to feel differently about each other. But they are afraid to act on it and lose their best friend status.

A great book that I think you will enjoy.

this is the perfect example of a friends to lovers trope. this sweet, gentle realization that you more than care about someone, and that some one happens to be your best friend, and bonus, they feel the same way... *chef's kiss* and the sub plot with the parents just tickles me to death. another perfectly sweet read from a perfectly sweet author.

This was a cute cozy friends to falling in love between Autumn and Noah, Neither one wants to fall in love because they don't want to lose their friendship. Both are worried about Autumn's dad and Noah's mom so they try to set them up. In the mean time the parents are doing the same. There is little heat and no sex which makes this a sweet read.

Autumn and Noah have the cutest relationship and dogs. They meet in the dog park. They bring each other coffee, pastries. Noah's mom and Autumn's dad lost their spouses. Autumn and Noah start arranging "random" meetings.

The book is sweet. Both Autumn and Noah deny their feelings for each other because they don't want to ruin their friendship. I can't wait to read Harley's story.

Sasha Summers’ first book in the Welsh Sisters series, Dod Park Sweethearts, kicked of this series with plenty of heartwarming and sigh worthy moments. From Autumn’s endearing quirks and effervescence for life, you can’t help but be drawn into the journey that she and Noah take to their HEA. Juxtaposed to Autumn’s charming and whimsical personality is Noah’s lively and often amusing outlook...a mixture that made their story that much more delightful.

I’m genuinely looking forward to Harley’s story...if it’s anywhere near Autumn’s I’m prepared to loose my heart again to the other Welsh sister.

Dog Park Sweethearts was just an incredibly sweet book with characters so adorable you rooted for the whole town to find love. Autumn was pure sunshine and happiness, which you would think could get annoying, but I couldn't get enough of her. Noah is kind and quiet, but has a heart of gold. There were so many cute and funny parts involving them trying to discreetly set their parents up. Plus all the doggy interaction! I can't wait for the next story to come out to find out what's in store for Autumn's sister Harley.

Not very interesting or attention holding. Gave it up several times before finally finishing. No real climax to this story. Wouldn't recommend.

This is Noah Contreras and Autumn Welsh 's story.
The handle of Autumn’s oversized canvas bag slipped down her arm as she shifted the coffee carrier holding two extra-large insulated coffee cups. That, and the sudden tug at the end of the retractable leash she gripped in her other hand, made her stumble on the brick-lined sidewalk. “Slow down, Cobie, we’re almost there.”
Cobie wasn’t listening. The dog was staring across the street, ears perked up, long tail wagging, a soft whimper reaching Autumn.
“I know, I know. We’re late. But Noah and Baxter won’t leave. I promise—I have his coffee.” Which was why they were running late. The line at Corner Brew and Bakery had been especially long this morning. Then again, it was February first. And February first meant the return of their delectable Valentine’s menu. It had barely been seven when she’d arrived and only three of their world-famous (and if they weren’t, they should be, Autumn was certain of it) strawberry cream-cheese muffins were left in the illuminated glass-front bakery case. There had still been plenty of glazed cherry pastries, vanilla and cinnamon twists with pink and red sugar crystals, berry turnovers, and fresh-baked iced Valentine’s cookies on display. But the muffins were her favorite.
Noah was waiting, holding the gate to the dog park wide.
“Looks like someone is happy to see me.” Noah winked, taking the coffee carrier and her canvas bag without being asked.
Baxter, all twelve pounds of brown, white, and tan patchwork fur, did a little circle around Cobie before weaving between the larger dog’s legs—his stubby tail going a mile a minute. Cobie stooped and rubbed noses with Baxter, a gentle woof escaping her dark muzzle.
Dog Park Sweethearts by Sasha Summers is a wonderful well written 4 star book.

I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. Wow what a sweet romantic story. We meet the Welsh sisters and their dad. This book focuses on Autumn Welsh and her buddy Noah Contreras. The two meet at a dog park 3 mornings a week with their adorable dogs to share coffee, breakfast sweets and conversation. The author, Sasha Summers, has done an awesome job describing the 2 dogs, their friendship and their antics when they see each other. Autumn and Noah both got their adorable dogs From the local shelter and volunteer often at events to benefit it. Over the course of a year, they’ve become good friends and Autumn cooks up the idea to fix up their widowed parents. They stage a few “accidental” meetings and the parents seem to really like each other.

Autumn and her sister run a studio, offering lessons, parties, etc. Noah restores old buildings and was hired to do this for a historical house in their small Texas town. It is to be unveiled soon and Autumn fears he will leave for a new project and she will miss him. The author provides excellent descriptions of Autumn's clothes and quirky socks. She provides such good details it is easy to visualize what the characters look like.

Noah’s mom starts to take classes at Autumn’s studio after a painting party she attended there. She is also very involved in the local shelter like Noah and Autumn. Autumn’s dad was an artist as well and she uses that to try to help the relationship along with Noah’s mom. Noah, Autumn and their dogs are super cute together. Both start realizing they feel more than just friendship toward the other but are afraid of ruining what they have. So both remain silent while all around, others notice their feelings.

I highly recommend this book. The story is so sweet, the characters are all so likable, and the dogs are adorable. There is a little angst as we wonder whether Noah will choose to move away, if they will finally confess their feelings and if the parents will end up falling for each other too. I am looking forward to book 2 in the series. This would be an excellent Hallmark Valentines Day movie.

Dog Park Sweethearts begins the Welsh Sisters series with a charming, fun romance full of laughter, romantic shenanigans and… puppies, dogs, and furry friends. In fact, I was in love at first sight with that adorable dog on the cover and it only went uphill from there. Yes, give me a dog, a romance and I’m one happy reader.

Although Noah and Autumn have been dog park friends for about a year now it’s only since she came up with the idea of matchmaking their parents that Autumn has begun to look beyond friendship. Maybe they just work so well as friends, but once the idea is brought to her attention it’s hard to not see just how well she and Noah fit together. Noah’s work on a local restoration is just about finished, now that the parents aren’t the only ones with romance on their minds he’s going to need to make a decision. A job he loves although it does send him traveling or a woman he could love for a lifetime at his side.

It’s not a difficult decision but the trip to their happy ending is full of mischievous pups, a matching making set of parents who should be concentrating on their own romance that the kids set up, and decisions that may change lives. Dog Park Sweethearts is a love story that will touch your heart with low drama, interesting characters, adorable four-legged friends and a couple that started out as friends as they discover love along the way. I had fun, and I’m already looking forward to the next story.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Tule Publishing. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

Autumn Welsh and Noah Contreras have been good friends for about a year. They meet several times a week, with their dogs, at the dog park. They never put a label on their friendship and never considered being anything other than just good friends. When Autumn suggests fixing up her father with Noah’s mother, and they start spending more time together, their relationship starts to change to a romantic one. But it doesn’t happen without a few setbacks along the way.

This is an incredibly sweet story and I enjoyed watching Autumn and Noah’s new love bloom. I also enjoyed seeing their parents become an item too. Of course, you can tell by the title there are some sweet pups included in this story and they made some extremely fun and funny scenes. This is a great start to a new series. I can’t wait to read the next book for Autumn’s sister’s story.

This is such a cute story. I have never read anything from this author but I really loved this story. It was a quick and easy read.
The characters are well written and I love the fact that this story also revolves around dogs and coffee meetings. Autumn is a spunky and energetic person but Noah seems to be more laidback and quiet. But they seem to work well together and play off of each other. I really enjoyed the fact that these two were trying to get their parents together and then became closer in the end themselves.
I have nothing negative to say about this story besides wanting to know more about how Autumn and Noah met and how they started these coffee/dog park meetings.
I enjoyed all of these characters including Haley so I’m excited to read her story along with hearing more about their dad.

The story of Autumn Welsh and Noah Contreras is a sweet small town romance.
Autumn loves her town and her life. Noah, though a local, has been traveling the world as a restoration expert. He’s been in town for almost a year while doing a restoration that is set to debut on Valentine’s Day.
These two have become “dog park friends” for almost a year. Meeting three times a week with their adorable dogs.
Once they decide that his Mom and her Dad should meet, they start spending more time together and thus the friendship becomes more that a 3 days a week meeting.
If you are looking for a sweet story, this one is the one for you.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

I had enjoyed reading another series by Sasha Summers so I was looking forward to reading Dog Park Sweethearts. This is the first book in her new Welsh Sisters series. The story of Autumn Welsh and Noah Contreras matchmaking scheme is a sweet small town romance. Of course, the matchmaking is done with the best of intention but along the way love blooms elsewhere too.

This sweet story has likable characters with some lovable dogs. Altogether they make an enjoyable read. Hard to decide if I like the two legged characters the best or the four legged ones. I just know that this story will bring a smile on any given day.

An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a super sweet with no real drama or angst and sometimes that is just what you want a sweet romance. Autumn Welsh and Noah Contreras are great friends they meet at the dog park a couple of times a week Noah finds the way that Autumn lives her life fully involved is a pep up for him. When she suggests matching his mother with her father he sees the advantages after all both their parents are lonely As they spend more time together with their plans though Noah realises that Autumn actually means more to him than a friend but what will happen when his job moves him on You will have to see of they have a future together.

This book has been a delight to read. It’s sweet, funny at times and the two dogs, Cobie and Baxter, nearly steal the show with their antics. I loved the way Autumn and Noah hedged around their clear love for each other, terrified of moving from the friend zone to a loving relationship for fear of losing their friendship if only one of them was in love. The story is so sweet. It’s beautifully written with the dogs pulling their humans together, other family members getting involved, and the community of Crossvine Creek throwing in their two cents worth as well. I breezed through the story and finished with a very satisfied smile on my face.

Dog Park Sweethearts by Sasha Summer is book number one in the Welsh Sisters series.  This is Autumn Welsh and Noah Contreras' story.

A sweet and fun read.  Noah and Autumn have been meeting at the dog park for about a year or so.  Their dogs Baxter and Cobie love playing together in the park. These two start scheming on a plan to get their widowed parents together which has them interacting or see each other more.  As time goes on they begin to fall for each other but don't know how to let the each know.  I loved the animals and all the supporting characters which added to this sweet story.

I  voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Noah and Autumn are dog park friends. They hang out like clockwork. Noah is in town working on a restoration and then he is moving on to the next project in a different town. Despite their secret mutual attraction they are friend zoned. When they decide to set up their parents everything changes. Trying to help his lonely dad get out of the house more and her lonely mom have a date just might be the push they need to explore their attraction. Such a cute story of friends to lovers, plus the two dogs steal the show. Great read!

Good people who care about each other and their town plus sweet dogs combine to make this friendship-to-romance novel an enjoyable read. Everyone is sweet and the dogs are adorable. Autumn is a lovely character and Noah makes a good book boyfriend. It’s not exciting, but it is pleasant.

I loved the story line and the all the characters in the book were very well written. Having the dogs in the story just made the story line that much better. I am looking forward to reading the next book. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a longtime fan of Sasha Summers & have read every book she’s written - this is the best. It’s the kinda story that makes a reader fangirl become a stalker of an author - it’s my new fave. It’s every single thing you want in a sweet romance..cute setting, puppies, & a hero that you won’t soon forget. Oh how I wish I had my own Noah - swoon, swoon, swoon. I highly recommend this story to anyone looking for a classically beautiful romance story.
