From the author of the #1 bestseller, "Europa Journal" comes a brand new series...
Welcome to Stranger World!!!
A place where homicidal monarchs reign, ravenous dinosaurs roam, and the tea parties are enough to drive a Hatter Mad!
A combat pilot killed in action, a microbiologist from a far flung future, and a cowardly accountant from the 1970's, all awaken into this amazing, yet sinister, upside-down world. With no memory of how they arrived, they are soon joined by a snarky "Leftenant" searching for her lost airship, a gargoyle butler who may or may not eats cats, and an enigmatic Lamppost Man who just might be the key... to everything.
The Spokesman Review gives it 5 STARS!!!!
"The lines of imagination and reality have never been so blurred as they are in the amazing yet sinister world so creatively envisioned by Jack Castle!"
"For nearly a decade, Jack Castle has been crafting thrilling award-winning adventures for my theme park and guiding millions of guests through them. So, it comes as no surprise his talent as a storyteller has expanded to delight readers around the world through his Stranger World book series."
Jack Castle’s novels have been consistently ranked in the Top 100 Bestselling books on Amazon and are available worldwide in e-book, print, iTunes, Kobo, and Barnes and Noble.
He has been labeled by the Coeur D’Alene Press as the “Man of Adventures!” and traveled the globe as a professional stuntman for stage, film, and television. While working in Orlando (the theme park capital of the world) he met Cinderella at Walt Disney World, and they were soon married.
After moving to Alaska, he worked as a tour guide, police officer, and Criminal Justice professor. He has been stationed on a remote island in the Aleutians as a Response Team Commander, and his last job in the Arctic Circle was protecting engineers from ravenous polar bears.
After spending a decade in Idaho crafting award-winning adventures for Silverwood Theme Park and guiding millions of guests through them, Jack Castle moved back home to his native Central Florida.
These days he splits his time between writing books, going on adventures with his family to fuel them, and helping others get published by teaching classes at local libraries and universities. www.JackCastlebooks.com
This book is unlike anything I've ever read. It's bizarre and fun, with a unique group of characters. If you like fairy tales, steampunk, and fantasy, then you should give it a read. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series!
It was compelling enough to finish but nothing was resolved in the end. It was a mish-mash of every cliche theme park character ever created so it bred familiarity and inspired some horror that beloved characters could act so awful. However, by the end of the book we still don't know why other than it being some futuristic theme park that exists for some reason we also don't know. It also falls back on the whole "love is the meaning of being human" and "love is the answer to everything," just like A Wrinkle in Time did which feels cheap and hollow to me. I would recommend it above A Wrinkle in Time, though.

Loved this new series. Great world-building. Fun premise. A pilot is shot down in Afghanistan and wakes up in a word overtaken by full immersion theme parks, only the attractions run the show and humans are the entertainment. Part WestWorld part Alice in Wonderland. This is a story the whole family can enjoy. George Stapleton wakes up in Stranger World and must find then rescue his daughter from Lady Wellington and the evil Lamppost Man. I read the entire series in a few days and couldn't put them down.
