Edgar Rice Burroughs was an American author, best known for his creation of the jungle hero Tarzan and the heroic John Carter, although he produced works in many genres.
This is my adolescence love!! I've read it in Russian originally and now got the chance to peruse the English version, the original. I adored the comparatively old English, with archaisms and strange usage of some words. )) Sometimes it has some strange beliefs for today's reader, yet these were times and, for that time, Burroughs' ideas and thoughts might have been even revolutionary.
It was nostalgic to remember all the animal's names in the Great Apes' language! In the past, I've known those by heart.
As content, it is the full pack with all Tarzan's adventures. I loved to read it languidly, appreciating every moment of the process.
This book is the complete story of Burroughs beloved character Tarzan’s life. I didn’t appreciate it as a child but do now as an adult and enjoy reading most of them to my kids.
Typical Burroughs and Tarzan. It only gets a second star because in the 1970’s Marvel Comics put out a version of this story which was very good. The book by itself is ridiculous nonsense.
