I've never been able to commit myself to scrapbooking. It seemed like just another fun fad that would fade in time. This book gives a completely different perspective, however. It's far from being just another, "here's how to make a pretty page" book. Rather, it gives purpose to documenting your life for future generations - not just for them to see what you looked like or what you did, but the deeper meaning of who you are and why. It encourages you to document with photos the good and the bad, the fun and the sad. It lead to the scrapbook I'm currently making about my husband's brain cancer and all the feelings involved, which is helping me process my thoughts, remember and share the journey, and express my heart. Thank you!

I like the idea of scrapbooking your faith and what that means to you.
This book has given me some good ideas of some things to think about and hopefully scrap someday.

Picked this up on a whim for $2 at Ollie's - it was worth that price.

It's mostly eye-candy, with a big helping of encouragement to use scrapbooking pages as a way to testify about your faith. It's divided into various sections such as beliefs, inspirations, symbols and traditions, etc. with a page each suggesting why this is a good thing to scrapbook about.

The spreads themselves mostly seemed to be very similar, possibly because there were only 7 contributors. And they're all pretty and happy; there's not much edge to any of them. Not sure if this is because of the nature of religious scrapbooking or just because the book was sponsored by a manufacturer whose materials are all like that.

There's no explanations of techniques, although there is a list of materials used in the back, so you could duplicate a spread if you wanted to.

It's a good book to keep on a shelf for when you just want to look through some pretty spreads for inspiration, but it won't teach you anything new.

I really enjoyed this book. It was so unlike any other scrapbooking ideas, before Bible Journaling became popular, I think Courtney was the forerunner of creative faith. Seeing this on someone's list reminds me to pull it off the shelf and start working on some ideas I had bookmarked. It will be a keepsake long after we forget the details

Some of the layouts were too busy, the titles hard to read and the journaling small. But the concepts, subjects, questions, and ideas were great. Nice reference.
