Good things come in big packages… Bebe Anderson, aka ‘Mizz Moneypitz’ is new to penning her popular blog for crazy fixer-uppers like herself, rehabbing her own money pit, and doing her damnedest to avoid the perv next door. The last thing she expected was to fall for taciturn hunk Tommy Branson, he of the noisy delivery truck that rumbles past her windows daily. Pretty soon, she’s cooking up all sorts of schemes to get Mr. Tall, Dark, and Sweaty over her crumbling door stoop, and into her bed. Mercy, this girl needs it, bad! Ex-Marine Tommy Branson ain’t loving life lately. He’s got a back-busting gig offloading junk to annoying customers, a dad deep in the throes of Alzheimer’s, and a buncha buddies who get their jollies razzing him for living like a monk. But things sure perk up when gorgeous Ms. A hangs her shorty-shorts in that piece of crap she just bought. This sassy stunner appears hellbent on driving him, and what’s under his khakis, stark-raving mad. Need it, bad? Hell, and then some.. Mature Audience
Stung by the literary lovebug at a tender young age, JC has been devouring steamy romantic fiction ever since. Seriously… What could possibly be more delectable at the end of a rough day than a big, bad, moody brute brought to his alphalicious knees by a gorgeous, sassy-talking heroine?
Well, besides Tom Hardy showing up shirtless on your doorstep with car trouble.
Penning “I wish” fantasies while slogging through the woefully Rhett-scarce world, JC invites readers to indulge in decadent escape through her foulmouthed, passion-saturated tales.
J.C. sure can write a steamy story. Even before Bebe and tommy's first physical interaction, i could feel the chemistry between them. Bebe is a mature older woman to Tommy's younger side. All I have to say to Bebe is...You go woman! Nothing wrong with a younger man.
Besides all the steam that was exchanged between Bebe and Tommy; there was the humor. There is nothing else that I do love than a really good spicy, romance with a twist of humor. That is what you will get when you read Need It Now by J.C. Jaye.
Because I really enjoyed this book, I found it to be a quick read. I look forward to reading the other books in this series. And as a parting give I will leave you with this last section from the book:
"Head's up, my love...Might wanna polish off that sugary dessert ya got there, and make it quick. You're gonna be needing the buzz. Because, Mrs. Branson, you are gonna be... Up.All. F*ckin'. Night."
Sweet, sassy, steamy & so entertaining Need It, Bad (The Breakaleg Trilogy Book 1) by JC Jaye is a very well written, entertaining romantic comedy that cranks up the heat along with the laughs. These two characters are exciting and engaging; Bebe with her quick wit and Tommy with his hot, filthy mouth. The book’s plot of these two is witty and full of surprises, never a dull moment to say the least, they just can’t seem to catch a break. At least not until Tommy finally does, but not in a good way! Overall, a really fun read with off the charts steam, awesome characters and a HEA with promise for Tommy and Bebe as well as more to come. I can’t wait to see which of Tommy’s pals falls next. I read an ARC of this book from Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.
I really enjoyed this book which tells the story of Bebe Anderson, a blogger who rehabs newly purchased homes, and Tommy Branson, ex-marine driving a delivery truck and caring for his father with Alzheimer’s Dementia. When these individuals meet they are immediately drawn to each other, however, Bebe unexpectedly leaves. Read this book to see if Tommy gets her back. I recommend this romantic adventure which is filled with humor, wonderful banter, and sizzling romantic passion.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book that I've read by this author and I didn't really know what to expect. This story was a tad predictable for me and this time didn't really flow I thought.
Bebe is new to town and is a actually there to do a fixer upper house and loves to make them new again while also keeping up with her blog too. After he sees him for the first time she gets hit with cupid arrow and now all she wants to do is get him to stop by.
Tommy is an ex marine and is now a delivery driver. At the moment life is not so cool for him, he's is a really good guy who also cares for his father who is struggling at the moment with Alzheimer's and its very difficult.
While on his delivery route this is where he sees her for the first time and that is it, he's caught this was the last thing either of them expected was for anything to happen.
The chemistry that these two have between them is sizzling hot and they are totally attracted to each other.
These characters had a lot going for them and they were hot and steamy together and there was a lot between them both and I did like the way this author has written these characters. This book does have some twists and I felt some parts of this book were written great. My only thing was that I felt like this story was quite predictable and I felt like I did know exactly what was going to happen and I felt like the story line was missing something for me.
A new author to me. The story is about Bebe And Tommy. Bebe is a blogger who rehabs newly purchased homes, and Tommy is an ex-marine driving a delivery truck and caring for his father with Alzheimer and Dementia. They are attracted to each other. The story had potential and some laugh out loud moments but: the descriptions went from sexy to outright disgusting and in some areas offensive. It was hard to follow as the story jumped from one thought to another without any warning - the story lacked balance and flow. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book so I expect a few edits but the edits in this book are so plentiful it was hard to read. Many words were missing letters and proper grammar was non existent. This feels like a first authors draft. It was a very frustrating and disappointing read.
I had high hopes for the premise of this book, but I couldn't get to the end of chapter one. I promise I tried.
In all honesty, the author was trying really hard to deliver slick, funny prose. Trying _really_ hard. Trying _too_ hard. The result was unintelligible. I couldn't make head nor tail of what she was talking about because the character kept going off on weird tangents full of convoluted innuendos.
It's a real shame, but I think the author needs to majorly chill, and stop trying to be hilarious, because it's coming at the expense of its readability. I found it impenetrable and insufferably, self-consciously overblown.
There were many problematic areas in this book, but it was not a train wreck. The hardest things to get right is the pacing, the tone and the interaction between the two main characters. JC Jaye nailed them all. The characters were likable, the dialogue and banter were charming and funny, and the over-all intention of the book for a sexy, light hearted romance worked well. I also liked the first person perspective of both Tommy and Bebe for each set of chapters.
As for the problems, I think a good editor would have discussed many of them with JC and worked out the kinks. They are not really structural, but more the cosmetic aspects of the story. The characters could have been developed more, we really didn't find out much about either of them. Tommy was a Marine vet, with PTSD (no symptoms ever arose in the telling of the story), whose 81 yr old dad has Alzheimer's. I didn't catch how old Tommy was : 26 - 52 ??? As for Bebe , we learned the most basic info, how her parents and brother died (super quick telling of this) how she is a blogger that works from home. How did she get the money to buy her fixer upper and to purchase all those things from Amazon? Is she a successful bogger ? She went to college also, how did that get paid for? As for Chuck, he was in the first part of the book, he disappeared about 120 pages in. Is he ok ?
The sexy talk was at times repetitive and borderline crude, and how I imagine people in pornos talk. It didn't feel authentic. The profanity was fine but sometimes less is more, it can have the opposite effect of what you are going for and not feel very sexy at all.
"After stroking down what felt like a friggin' yardstick, I got to the bottom , encountering two swollen spheres that could pass for a pair of unripe Florida grapefruits, jumbo-sized. " Wow, unripe Florida grapefruits, I'm not even sure what it is that I'm supposed to envision there.
I took a lot of notes, but that's all I will say about it, I really hate to tear down what is ultimately a solid beginning to writing this genre. I think JC Jaye has done a remarkable job on her first book, and I really hope she will keep going.

This was the first book I have read from JC Jaye, and OMG I was laughing my butt off. The inner monolog these characters were having throughout the whole story was just hilarious. Bebe is new to the neighborhood but has quickly noticed the Package delivery driver and has become obsessed with watching the sexy man even to the point of her ordering things she didn't need to see him. As time goes on, she keeps ordering bigger and heavier things for him to help her bring them into her house for her. It is just so comic able. What Bebe doesn't know is he is drooling over her on a daily basis as well trying to just catch a glance of her in her window. When these to finally connect they are like two teenagers discovering sex for the first time their chemistry is undeniable. Then it's time to bring on the prize-winning dirty talker side of Tommy OMG he can make you blush with his words. This book is fast paced and totally worth the read you will fall in love with these characters and all the crazy things they get up too I could not put it down. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
All the Dirty talking goodness I've come to expect from this author’s books. She has done it again. Tommy Branson ain’t for the dainty minds.
This delivery guy has the residents of Cypress Street talking. 'Miz Moneypitz' BeBe Anderson has his schedule memorized down to the minute. Just getting the small eyeful from the crack in her blinds has her heart racing. She orders the most outrageous and heaviest parcels, just to watch his muscles flex.
Tommy is obsessed with the newest resident on his route. She's a dynamite stick packed into 5' of hotness. When he sees her obscene neighbor not taking no for an answer, he sees his chance to finally make a move. Too bad the universe is intent on blocking them at every turn.
Get ready for a lot of dirty talking, alpha maleness and a woman who gives as good as she gets. I laughed out loud every time these two think they're all set for a home run, and getting whacked by nosy neighbors, broken bones, and geriatric parents. This wasn't as great as the Blue Collar Boys, but still a hot read!
I received a copy of this arc In exchange for my honest review. This is book 1 in the Break A Leg trilogy. This is my first read by the author, and boy did she have me chuckling , and fanning myself. When Bebe meets Tommy , her delivery driver at her new house, there’s INSTANT attraction between the two. Both count down to the hour that Tommy knocks on her door with her packages. It doesn’t take long for these two to hit it off . The chemistry between these two are off the charts HOT. The semi slow burn had me .🥵🥵🥵 These characters are sooo likable ! They are funny , quirky, and have the best personalities. Their inner dialogue with themselves had me CRACKING up. And don’t get me started with the MOUTH on the MMC. 🥵 If you like a filthy mouthed MMC, you got it. This was a fun and quick read with the HEA we all hope for!! Anxious to see what the rest of this trilogy will bring ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I received this book free as an ARC reader for review.
The premise is fine. Ex-marine turned delivery driver tries to balance life looking after a father with Alzheimer’s, PTSD, and his crush on a one of the women on his delivery rout. Said crush, a home renovation blogger, who just happens to be a virgin, has a crush on him too. Can they ever get passed the flirting stage?
Yah. They do. If you can manage to actually read the mess that is this ARC, so full of misspelled words, random word and sentence breaks, and weirdly inserted numbers, to get through the story you’ll find it shoots straight passed hot and right on to raunchy. Completely unrealistic, this novel glosses over key features like his PTSD, her lack of family, or the crazy that seems to happen to both of them, and instead focuses on his hard-on and her .... “cream”.
Book one in the Breakaleg Trilogy, Need It Now is an entertaining romcom that I very much enjoyed. There's spice, there's laughs, and let's not forget, a hot guy. This book is written very well, and the characters are very enjoyable. Bebe Anderson loves to fix up homes and make them gorgeous again, along with keeping up with her blog. Then we have Tommy Branson. Tommy is an ex-marine. He's currently a delivery truck driver who is caring for his father who suffers from Alzheimers. When these two meet for the first time, there is no denying the chemistry between them. I laughed a lot at this book. I loved Bebe's plans for seeing more of the hot, sexy delivery driver. And Tommy and his filthy mouth, holy cow. This book was so cute. I can't wait to read the other books. Don't miss this one book besties. It's a great read.
This story follows Bebe and Tommy all that they go through when attraction is too intense to even consider fighting. Tommy is this amazing guy who is fighting his own battles and helping his ailing father, but out on a delivery one day he meets Bebe and his attraction to her is instant and the feeling is mutual. Bebe is an older woman and her attraction to Tommy is an entity of itself and while she tries hard to seduce him, she doesn’t really have to try all that much. The banter and inner monologues will have readers laughing, yet at times Bebe seemed a tad immature to me but it was easily overlooked by their story and hot moments. This story was fun and entertaining can’t wait to see where we go next.
Has potential: There were many things to appreciate about this book, such as the humor, unexpected twists and steamy chemistry. However it unfortunately did not live up to its potential. I found the first half of the book dragged and was rather repetitive as the main characters repeatedly revisited events in their minds. There was excessive use of coarse language throughout and the relationship and focus seemed rather immature. Further editing and spell checking is required and I also found it confusing as Bebe's home was referred to as both a Victorian home and barn? I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
I DNF this book early on. Letters were left off of words, making it difficult to read. While ARC's are often not perfect, they usually are at least proofread before being distributed to reviewers. This book unfortunately did not seem to be- so I have no way of knowing if those purchasing the finished product will have an improved reading experience. The beginning did nothing to make me like the h or want to continue reading her continued horny thoughts, and multiple euphemisms for body parts and sex. This book was not for me. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
It's incredibly spicy but towards the middle then the end it got a bit unrealistic. I had a hard time in the believability in Bebe and Tommy after the middle mark as a couple. While the dialog felt real, in that certain phrases and sayings are thing your average Joe says, at a certain point it flopped between dialects. Given it was based in Philadelphia it seemed some of the dialog belonged down south. Overall I didn't hate it and the se×ual chemistry was very apparent.
This story almost had me feeling a little pervy as if I were peeping into the main character's lives and especially their private moments. A good read with a lot of steaming spices and great lead up to the big moment. There's instalove and then there's just animal attraction; it took me a while to figure out which one was at play here. I am really glad the story is a standalone. You just never know when you see the word 'trilogy' in the blurb.
Yeah, this one didn't hit the mark. I think it could be a good book, because it did have moments that were funny and could be a good storyline. However, it seemed disjointed and didn't have enough drama to the storyline to keep my interest. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I received this story at no cost in exchange for my honest review.
Branson and Anderson are very hot for each other and it pours out in the reading. The guys need cold showers when it comes to the male species. It shows in next door neighbors and cops. Kudos to Branson Sr. for his kick in the butt to a cop. Read it! Just know that it has a lot of typos and incomplete words.

I very rarely DNF a book as I always like to give the author a chance at redeeming the story but unfortunately I couldn't continue with this.
The plot had potential but was so slow and immature. Then jumps from barley speaking a sentence to each other to full on make out sessions. Sorry but not for me.
My first from JC Jaye and wasnt disappointed! Very entertaining and lots of laughs! Felt bad for Tommy's poor misfortunes after finally making his move to get to know Bebe! It was almost like she was bringing him bad luck but he never once complained bc he wanted her so bad! Will definitely read the rest of the series!
An entertaining start to this series. The story will keep you interested till the end. The characters have amazing chemistry. Look for ward to reading more from this author and series.

This is the first book I've read by JC Jaye. I thought ok it sounds interesting. I couldn't have been more wrong. It was hilarious!!! Oh my God, I'd say it's in the top 10 category right now. I love Foul-mouthed heroes. I definitely recommend this one!!!
Foul mouthed and I am here for it! These 2 - the banter and spice were next level. I loved the intensity and that neither one of them held back. Hilarious in my opinion…give me all of it! I can honestly say there wasn’t a dull moment at all! Kudos JC Jaye!
