I didnt like this book very much. It explains parts of the violence that takes place in the Araucania region of Chile but in a way that I think doesnt really work with the narrative style. I also didnt like the narrative style bc of how all over the place it felt. The narrator would constantly insert his internal musings which were repetitive, irrelevant sometimes, and tangential which made it obnoxious to read. Like 30 seconds would pass in real time but it would take 5 pages because of the narrator’s obnoxious internal monologue. Also, I didn’t like the way the female characters were written and sexualized more than the male characters. I could definitely tell this book was written by a man
