By now I think i understand that Miss Chase audience is NA. And her writting is somehow cheesy and heavy on comedy. Like a cute sassy banter/ foreplay. The rest.... just q dimensional.

There is no character development. No drama/ twist that making the story more gripping. The character pretty much immature, especially Grace. She is such drama queen.

Despite all that, I still somehow manage to enjoy this book. Just for a lazy lockdown weekend. Just listen away to the story without thinking too much.

Two strangers on a road trip. This is a fun romance novel and at times funny. I really enjoyed it and C.J. Bloom did a wonderful job with narration. Roadtripping is my second series by Samantha Chase. I also find her Christmas series (Silver Bell Falls) really good.

What a thoroughly enjoyable, fresh and unique story this turned out to be! Grace had so much personality that I wanted to jump into the story and be her friend! It was frikkin delightful I tell ya! And a really easy read. It was emotional when it needed to be, but never heavy. Their personalities just didn’t call for it and Samantha Chase nailed it all around with this one! Well done!

Finn can be quite accommodating, "then his smile went from sad to sexy. “And then we have *** anywhere in this room– or, out in the hotel– that you want.” finn has his woman down to a T, "...You are a nuisance when left to your own devices, and every once in a while, you need to be reminded that every day doesn’t have to be an adventure.” I liked this book, I loved Finn.

DRIVE ME CRAZY is the first instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult ROAD TRIPPING romance series. This is thirty year old, auto mechanic Finn Kavanaugh, and twenty-eight year old, career advisor Grace Mackie.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Finn and Grace) DRIVE ME CRAZY follows the building relationship and romance between thirty year old, auto mechanic Finn Kavanaugh, and twenty-eight year old, career advisor Grace Mackie. On the day of Grace’s wedding to her now ex-fiance Jared, our heroine would discover that Jared had not been faithful for months. Desperate to get out of Lake Tahoe, Grace would find herself at a local car rental where the lone remaining truck was about to be her only means of travel for the next several days but Grace never expected to be sharing the ride with auto mechanic Finn Kavanaugh. Finn Kavanaugh was currently stranded in Lake Tahoe when his brother Dave decided to ‘steal’ his car, leaving our hero without a means to get home. Afraid of flying, Finn would have to share the last remaining vehicle with a woman who would slowly wrap around his heart. What ensues is the cross-country journey of Finn and Grace, and the fall-out when their time together comes to a close.

Grace Mackie wants to enjoy life, and her trip cross country with Finn Kavanaugh is the perfect time to travel and tour but Finn struggles in the face of his brother’s betrayal, and the woman he believes should be grieving the loss of her love. As the journey gathers momentum, our couple explore the country’s most popular attractions, as well as exploring one another’s bodies. Their connection is not immediate but the sexual attraction and chemistry is palpable. The $ex scenes are all implied.

The secondary and supporting characters are limited to Finn’s troubled brother Dave, as well as Grace’s ex-fiance Jared, and her mother back home.

DRIVE ME CRAZY is a sweet story; a slow burn but passionate romance with an animated couple, and a happily ever after.

All the heart and humour...

I had no idea when I started Finn and Grace’s story how much I would LOVE it. Steamy, funny with heart to spare, this was a road trip I’m so glad I made with them both…

They were having horrible, horrible, no good days yet things turned around when they met and started an adventure neither could have imagined. Grace was stoic in her shock and grief and Finn too handled his own setbacks with remarkable composure. From a practical point, they faced their road trip with clinical detachment. Of course that was soon all out the window when irresistible personalities shone through and shenanigans were had… Grace poked the bear until even Finn couldn’t help but relent. A stick in the mud on the surface, perhaps, he had no defenses against a woman who left him with none. Their conversations were a balance of humour and raw emotion as their road trip meant close quarters and an intimacy that felt so, so right.

From start to finish, I loved their journey – both emotional and geographical – that hit every high and low note of an unforgettable car trip. I laughed, and may have sniffled on occasion at the sweetness of it all, as these two fell in love and brought me happily along for the ride.

Loved, loved this book. Two strangers, one car and a five day road trip. This is the perfect read to take you to your happy place with many laugh out moments. A road trip that you can take in your house. Who doesn't want to visit Las Vegas! Loved the banter between Grace and Finn. Great sexual chemistry between Finn and Grace. Loved how Finn stepped up in the end. This is a road trip that you don't want to miss!

This really wasn't anything special. The characters weren't that interesting, they didn't stand out to me. A happy go lucky blonde girl and a control freak guy?

Basically, this book is like a cheesy romcom. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The narrator however did a good job, which is why I gave this the benefit of the doubt and gave this book 3 stars.

I liked both Grace and Finn…thought this went at super speed considering most of it spans 5 days, but it was fun and it worked. Definitely a few annoying parts from the main characters, or secondary characters, but not enough to take away from the story.

Drive Me Crazy is book RoadTripping series by Samantha Chase. And let me tell you in already crazy about this series!!!

When Grace finds out her fiancé is cheating, her future isn't as planned out as she thought it would be. When Finn's trip with his brother goes a bit crazy, Finn is left without his car. So the best option for these two of course a shared road tripping trip.

Sharing a road trip with a stranger, spending time with a compete stranger might not seem like a good idea, but for Grace and Finn they are up for the challenge. I ADORED these two. Samantha Chase always gives us characters who have the right about of banter, and sexual heat to keep me laughing at times, and fanning myself at others.

Drive me Crazy was a fantastic 5 star read and a great way to start this series!!

Road trip shenanigans ✔️
Forced proximity ✔️
Grand gesture ✔️
Fun start to a new series ✔️

Finn and Grace are both having a terrible day and just want to get home...too bad there’s only one rental car. They quickly realize they have chemistry but neither is sure about a long distance relationship.

I really loved the road trip adventures and get to know you talks shared by Finn and Grace. The amount time of they spent together made it feel a little less insta love, although there’s still an element of it to be sure. And Finn’s grand gesture was so perfect!

Samantha Chase is a favorite of mine for fun, low angst, sexy but not too steamy romances and I’m very excited for this new series.

I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.

Grace and Finn two people who never met both stranded and want to get home, with one car rental left what are they to do? They go road tripping to get home. Each state shows you more of their personality and them getting other each other skin, however that begins to change as they come close to the end of their trip.
This book had me cracking up, with each turn of the page I was cheering them on. It is a great read from beginning to end.

If you like your books soft and sweet and no steam other then a few N***** tweaks and the mention of a thong 😱 this book is for you. 100%!

If you are a romance reader who wants more. More steam, more angst, more everything, this isn’t for you.

The concept of the book is great, and the writing is good, but it needs more. More passion, more chemistry, more, more, more. So much potential with this story and I’m super bummed because I was looking forward to reading it.

Dnf; for those who like mature scenes and Las Vegas.

I did check out a few reviews before but found nothing on the mature stuff. I wish authors would give a heads up so those who prefer closed door don't have to waste their time.

SPOILER:

The Heroine and Hero had only met a day and a half ago, give or take yet Heroine was adamant about sleeping with him when he was trying to be logical, resist and be a gentleman.

If you're looking to find your smile, Drive Me Crazy is the place for you. Gracie and Finn light up the canvas as only Samantha Chase can. What starts off like a country song becomes the sweetest of romantic comedy. Two strangers on the run from heartache and life are finding that happily ever after is only a road trip away. Escapism at it's finest.

DNF @ 50%: Just incredibly bored by this. It started off cute but as soon as they hit Las Vegas (the first stop on their road trip home) it went downhill for me. Thought it was dumb and kind of annoying. Not bothering to finish it but since I did make it halfway through I decided to rate it. Audio narration was ok.

Eh, not really feeling it. Characters feel kind of one-dimensional. Story nothing special. Maybe could've finished if I'd read it all in one go, but now, eh.

Grace Mackie ends up getting a big surprise that causes her to run off and end up in a road trip with a stranger.
Finn Kavanagh is not very happy with his little brother especially after he steals Finn’s car, leaving Finn stranded. Never did he guess he would end up in a cross country road trip with a beautiful stranger.
Oh my goodness, I absolutely loved Driving Me Crazy!! It was so fun and so sweet! It gave my butterflies a few times. It was the perfect mixture of sweet, sassy and sexy. The characters were amazing and the story line was very original, not like anything else I have read before. Such a fun idea. Makes me want to go on a road trip like this. I would highly recommend reading Drive Me Crazy!!

Grace and Finn’s story in Drive Me Crazy, book one in Samantha Chase’s new Road Tripping series, is a wonderful, sexy, and humourous tale of dealing with family and finding love when you least expect it. After discovering her fiancé proposed only to obtain a promotion, has been cheating on her, and knocked up his assistant, Grace Mackie knew she needed to escape from her destination wedding; the one he wanted them to have. Fleeing the resort in her wedding gown, leaving behind her luggage, Grace just wants to get home. All flights are canceled, so her only option is to drive across the country in a rental car. While on a brother bonding trip, Finn Kavanaugh has been stranded without his car or credit card; because his brother took off with both. Not the best way to bond, right? Now Finn needs to find a way to get home. Best bet is to get a rental car to drive cross country. Both Grace and Finn, two strangers, arrive at the car rental agency at the same time and discovering there was only one car. Neither of them expected their trip would come with a surprise passenger. But desperate times lead to infinite possibilities and a cross-country road trip.

There’s a magnetic attraction between Finn and Grace from the beginning and their chemistry is off the charts. From the beginning, Grace sensed that Finn was a good guy; someone she could trust. From their talks, games, arguments, and playlists, Grace and Finn learned more about each other than couples who date for years; allowing feelings to grow between them. After dropping Finn off, Grace wondered how it was it possible for her heart to hurt more watching him walk away than a week ago when she walked away from her own wedding. Both Grace and Finn decided that love was more than just having mutual respect for one another. It was when your heart raced every time that person walked into a room or phoned long distance. It was truly possible to happen between two strangers.

Ms. Chase wrote a wonderful, heartwarming and emotional story that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, out loud laughs, and charming characters giving Grace and Finn the love and happiness needed for a forever together. I highly recommend Drive Me Crazy to other readers and look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

If there’s one thing this author has taught me, it's that detailed behind-closed-door scenes don’t necessarily equate to chemistry between the main characters. Chase's are all pretty much fade to black, but oh, my gourd, I can feel the chemistry jumping off the page and seeping into my heart. And that live spark between the hero and heroine are a big part in making me connect with the characters and become invested in their story.

Grace Mackie needs to rent a car. Not only did she find out, mere minutes before her wedding, that her fiancé was cheating on her, but she ran out in just her wedding dress and can’t bear to wait until the next morning for a flight home. And the icing on her uneaten wedding cake? There's only one vehicle left, and it looks like she'll have to share the drive from one side of the country to the other.

Finn Kavanagh thought it would be a good idea to take a road trip with his irresponsible, immature younger brother. He was hoping for an opportunity to bond with his brother, maybe offer a few words of wisdom, and help his brother get his life on track. Instead, he gets stranded when his brother swipes Finn's car and heads to Vegas. And now the very responsible, unadventurous Finn finds himself driving across the country with a hot mess named Grace.

When I first saw this premise of road tripping across the country, I wondered if the book might not be a little boring at times. Silly me. I should have known Chase would pull it off without a hitch because she hasn’t let me down yet, and this book is the polar opposite of boring. It's humorous and fun, entertaining and engaging, and sweet and heartfelt. Run to the 1-Click, because you won’t want to miss this road trip with Grace and Finn!

Drive Me Crazy
Road Tripping book 1
Samantha Chase
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the first book in Samantha’s newest series, and I’m super excited for it. New storyline’s, new characters what’s not to love….? As each story brings new characters, Drive Me Crazy brings Grace Mackie and Finn Kavanagh, two soles with their lives turned upside down, and a cross country trip to end all trips.

Grace has just run away from her wedding after discovering her almost husband, cheating on her. Stuck in Lake Tahoe, no airport close by, and the need to get home, driving is her only option. But first she must get away in an Uber… It’s all fun and games in a wedding dress, and very little other possessions.

Finn has decided a trip with his brother will sort their problems, make him grow up, instead after a killer fight, he’s stuck with no car, no clothes and no way back home to Atlanta. Now extremely irritated he arrives at a car rental place to hire a car to get home and kill his brother.

Little do Finn and Grace know, that fateful meeting will change their lives forever. With only one car available, they decide to begrudgingly take the trip together. This pair could not be anymore different and it is spending days together non stop do they discover she drives him crazy with her antics, music sand sass, but level headed Finn is all about organisation, everything on time…. Yeah that’s gone out the window in a couple of days.

In a journey to return to their perspective homes, it’s their emotional journey that’s special. Both have skeletons, and sometimes a soundboard with no expectations opens up those wounds to create a new life… Finn and Grace will laugh, cry, love and leave. It’s not without drama but this story was everything I’d hoped for.
