Asher is a livewire with a past he can't escape. He knows bad boys like him aren’t meant for love.
I fled Los Angeles with bullets at my back. Now that I’m in Seattle, I just need to keep my head down, and stop risking my life for criminals. Easier said than done, when the only thing I’ve ever been good at is driving a getaway car. Maybe it’s like my dad always said, that I wasn’t worth the time it took to make me. I try to be good, but what if I’ve been bad for too long?
Franklin and Rory can’t deny this bad boy what he needs.
Rory and I swear that our new handyman is a bad idea. We’re responsible men in out forties, a professor and the owner of a comic book shop. Asher is twenty years younger, but when he turns our way, the truth shines in his eyes. He thinks he’s a bad boy, but something deep inside of us stirs. It’s time to show him what it means to be good.
Steamy and sweet M/M/M romance with an HEA for Franklin, Rory, and their Asher. This is the fourth Rebels and Nerds book, and it can be enjoyed as a standalone or in order with the series.
Re-read November 2020 I'm going with 3.5 now instead of the solid 4 stars I gave it first.
------------------------------- 3.5 stars
Asher feels a bit lost. He fled LA because his best friend kept getting him into trouble. And when someone took a shot at him, he was done.
So now he lives with his sister, but has no idea what to do with his life. While he is figuring that out he is taking all kinds of odd jobs around town.
And that’s how he gets hired by Franklin and his husband Rory. Franklin and Rory need someone to help clear out the garage, make some shelves and help clear the guestroom to make room for their 13 year old niece, who is coming to live with them after Franklin’s sister died.
Asher is immediately smitten with these daddies. These geek daddies! They just seem to have everything together. And they always try to take care of Asher. How can Asher do anything but try to get into their bed?
Rory and Franklin have been together for 20 years and are still very happy with the lives they built. When Asher keeps flirting with them they feel flattered, but don’t want to rock the boat.
But Asher is not giving up, and it looks like he’s slowly wearing the couple down…..
I really liked these guys. Asher was cocky, but also young and in desperate need of some care. Rory was the most dominant of the 3 and he loved to take care of those around him. Franklin was wonderfully geeky, and I loved how he could explore his more dominant side with Asher.
I loved the hurt/comfort parts where it was clear Asher needed someone to take care of him. He had been let down so much in his life. From his abusive parents to his best friend who kept trying to persuade Asher to be a courier of whatever illegal stuff Daryl was transporting that day.
Rory and Franklin had a perfectly stable relationship and I really liked that they talked about how bringing Asher into their bed would change their relationship.
We got some very minor daddy kink, but that mostly consisted of Asher calling Rory and Franklin Daddies, and them taking care of Asher.
There was no angst to be found in this, only the inner angst and insecurities of Asher. But those were not concerning the relationship.
This was a really easy book and sometimes you just need that book that makes you smile without getting you into a sugar coma.
Franklin and Rory are a happy married couple. Their niece will be the new addition to their family and now their house need some adjustments. Asher is the handyman who will help them. When Asher sees the two geek daddies his heart beats faster. Asher fled to his sister to escape his former life where is best friend took advantage of him with some bad things. Ashers is hurt and has a low self esteem. All he wants is to be loved.
A sweet story with the best daddies a boy could wish. All the wrongs in life turns into rights. Captivatingly written story with very engaging personalities who stole my heart. The way these men grow together felt natural and plausible. They have some steamy encounters, all deliciously described. I really loved this story.
Asher has spent his life feeling like he's not good enough for anyone but his sister. He wants a Daddy, but when he finally meets one he's attracted to, he's married. To another equally hot Daddy. What's a guy to do but dream and keep his hands to himself.
But Franklin, and Rory, have a relationship more than strong enough to take on an added dimension in the form of their new boy. A boy who needs them to give him the care that he never got from another man before.
This is such a sweet, slow burn story. I really liked all three leads and how distinctive they were. Franklin and Rory's relationship was already rock solid, but adding Asher to it made it just about perfect. The slow burn right down to the awww epilogue took me on a wonderful journey with three men who did quite a bit of character growth, especially Asher and Franklin. I've read the previous two stories in this series, and I must say it just keeps getting better!
3.5 stars Very cute book; actually slightly too cute. I hated the coincidence about his best friend's mother...can't tell you more without spoiling; let's be clear about something: it is NOT a BDSM book but a daddy kink story. The MC's lack a few defects to be more credible. The villain is the only one smoking...How clixhé is that? Finally about the cover, I like the guy in the foreground & the guys in the background but I don't understand who the leg right behind his head belongs to ?!
Hot. Hot. Hot. Franklin was a total sweetheart, Rory was a perfect caretaker, and Asher was a great light in their life. Separately they were enjoyable and relatable characters, but together they were electric and dynamic. I loved reading about them coming together and finding happiness. I really liked this book.
I am voluntarily reviewing an ARC provided by LesCourt Author Services >
this was such a sweet throuple. they made me happy and smile. i also love when a book makes me laugh. the pace was fast and interesting.. it kept me on the edge of my seat. it was fun... i did enjoy how they had good communication.. its important in any relationship but i feel like its so much more in a throuple. it was a fun story to read.
I love Asher. I think that he is working hard to be a better person than he was before. Not that he was every a really bad guy, mostly he was just hanging out with the wrong people. I mean, don't get me wrong, he knew that he was probably doing not good things, but they weren't as bad as they could be.
I think that Franklin and Rory were the perfect people for Asher. They had that Daddy vibe down from the very beginning, and the love that they already had for each other wasn't diminished in any way by adding Asher into their dynamic. All in all, I really enjoyed this story and their relationship.
I’ve been reading this book for a week and I am at just 60% because I read a bit, I grew bored and put it down then tried again a few hours or days and then put it down again and the cycle continued. I DNF at 60% because, really, nothing was happening. Other than sex and boring dialogue, nothing of importance or weight to move the story along, was happening. The book has been stuck 60% in the same thing. Sex, some meaningless boring dialogue, some more sex, repeat.
If by 60% your story doesn’t have me stuck to my phone then I would assume it never will because if it gets interesting after halfway through... boy that’s not good.
PS: This is the 2nd book of this series that I DNF and 1 I managed to read by pushing myself but didn’t enjoyed it at all.
I love R Cayden’s writing, and this was very much in the typical trope. I didn’t feel that it was quite as complex as some of the others, but it is still a great read.
The most surprising thing about this book was how much I loved the descriptions of the regular, day to day activities of these characters. The author gives you a real sense of what it is like for Franklin to run his comics store business day to day, what Rory's life as an an academic is like, how Asher decides on a career and Ava's life as a high school student. All the details are spot on and so believable, I found myself watching the story as I read - so vivid were the details I could see the story happening just like I was watching a film. The page disappeared and I saw this story happen. The characters grow and change throughout the book and we get to watch that happen. Franklin develops and grows his business, Rory gets to put a scheming, homophobic department chair in their place, Asher finds self worth, starts on a career and grows up and Ava learns to deal with her mother's death and how to become her own person after that while still honoring her mother's memory. There is plenty of drama and excitement as Asher's past collides with Rory's present in a very unexpected way, but it is the little daily details that will ensure that this will become a re-read book for me.
Engaging MMM story that will make your heart smile. I enjoyed the characters in this fun daddy kink story. These characters grew into a throuple and i found the story-line engaging and the pacing flowed nicely. i really liked the supporting characters, both good influences and bad. These guys have a happy and healthy relationship but they have room for growth and the right place and right time create some wonderful possibilities. I really loved their dates and how special they made it for Asher.
Rory, Franklin and Asher are awesome together from their first tentative steps of recognizing the attraction to their committed relationship. I loved the authentic feel of this journey and how wonderfully they communicated. I really liked how they treated Asher with respect, care and consideration. Once Asher really opened up to Franklin and Rory they really became a triad and their interactions became so much more.
This is book four of the Rebels and Nerds series and can be read as a stand-alone.
I was gifted this book from the LesCourt Author Services and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
Asher wants to find someone that will not necessarily take over his life, but that can be a daddy. Someone to tell him he is good enough. When he finally finds the perfect man he discovers he’s married to another perfect man. Rory and Frankie aren’t looking to add anything to their twenty year relationship, however Asher may be just what they didn’t know they needed.
MMM is either hit or miss for me, not much room for errors. If the main relationship isn’t strong enough to make room for someone else without a lot of jealousy, hurt feelings, or questioning, to the extent that it’s the main part of the story, that’s a basic fail for me. This one was done pretty well. Little bit of angst unrelated to relationship. Good storytelling, a little slow in the beginning though.
I wish I had known that this story was more about dom/sub relationships that an equal partnership with three men. I wouldn't have bought the book. I realize the blurb talks about "daddies", but I know a lot of guys who have "daddies" and they aren't treated as puppies on a leash having to learn their master's desires. Dom/sub relationships do not interest me. I never felt the connection between the three men. It always felt like Asher was more interested in Franklin than Rory, and that Rory was getting his sexual satisfaction vicariously through the interaction between Asher and Franklin. Reading this story was creepy and uncomfortable for me.
Rory has been pushed to the end of his rope time and time again throughout his life. Finally returned to Seattle from a painful life in LA, he hopes to find something that he wasn't sure he deserves. Rory and Franklin have been together for 20 years and have come home from Tucson with Franklin's 13 year old niece after a year helping his sister through her final year fighting cancer. The journey that these men take to find the right fit and happiness together is another example of R. Cayden's thoughtful and intense storylines. Each character is fully detailed and you find yourself drawn to each one.
Asher and his Geek Daddies by R. Cayden is the fourth book in the Rebels and Nerds series. It is a contemporary MMM story with daddy kink, a sexy and sweet throupling and a hilarious scene with one character having to chase down a runaway dog while naked. Asher, Frankie and Rory are fantastic characters who I loved getting to know. They gave me humor, steam and love... with just a little drama. I absolutely loved it all!
I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
I really loved how R Cayden made these amazing M/M/M stories. Now is the fourth book in the series and I assure you that it totally can be read as standalone but if you, as me, are a fan of the series you’ll probably recognize some faces on it. Asher found his 2 geeks and entered their family saving himself in the process. Some angst situations, a little bit of danger but a lot of romance, love and hot scenes made this book an amazing reading and a worthy continuation in the series. I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
This book had a slow start for me, and it took a while for me to get invested in the characters, but they eventually clicked. I loved Franklin and Rory stepping out of their usual to help Asher and show him he's more than he believes. I liked the slight change up from similar stories I have read where the bad boys are the older men, and they pursue a young, geeky nerd. All three of the men in this relationship have something to share with the others.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
This throuple story is quite sweet, between established couple Rory, Franklin and Self-proclaimed bad boy Asher, have a once they discover the attraction was mutual this story becomes quite steamy.
All the characters are well thought out whether their influences are good or bad fun was had with them, even some laugh out loud moments. The storyline was engaging and steadily paced, I was engaged and interested right from the start, as always with this series the writing is so well done it makes me want to read the next one soon.
As we continue along in this series, the MMM relationship dynamics also move forward. I really enjoyed this story and thought it was super cute. I love that it's not a repeat of the prior stories in that there is a quintessential bad and good boy mix. I didn't get that from this story. The "bad" boy wasn't really bad but just trying to find his way. The daddy's in the story are sweet geeks. I do love how they explore adding to an existing relationship. If you've enjoyed this story this one continues to make you smile!
Asher and His Geek Daddies, Rebels and Nerds book four by R. Cayden. This is now the second book I’ve read by this author and in this series. I think I’ve found a new favorite author! I definitely need to read the other books in this series and any other books this author has written. I love this author! I love this series! I love this book! I love these characters! And I love this storyline! This is a hot sweet m/m/m story with hot sweet characters. I definitely want to read more!
Asher is trying to build a new life for himself and he gets more than he bargained for when he takes on a handyman job for an older couple. Franklin and Rory are adjusting to life with a teenager and have never considered bringing a third into their relationship, until Asher. Asher makes it very clear what he wants, they just have to decide if they want it too. This is the first book that I have read by this author and it can be read as a standalone without loosing anything.
It took me a chapter or 2 to get into this book, but once i did i couldn't put it down. I really enjoyed the between rory and franklin, and the relationship between the three
The communication between rory and franklin, and then rory, franklin and asher was really well done and well handled. They sat down talked about things before they became an issue, so everyone knew what page they were on and what was happening.
A committed and loving couple meets needy younger bottom. I like each character separately and together. Franklin and Asher do make the initial connection but there is a spark with all of them together. Asher needed guidance and positive people in his life. Asher and Franklin had the most growth but in the beginning you have a couple and a hot guy. By then end you have a thruple or triad. Each person needed the other two. It was sweet.
I loved Asher's spark of life and his dedication to starting fresh after his incident in L.A. Even though his old life tried pulling him back in, the thought of losing Rory and Franklin kept him on the right track. Rory and Franklin being a happily married couple for more than twenty years accepted Asher and all his faults and chose to love him and help him continue to move forward on a good path for his future.
This was good but there were certain areas that kept throwing me off fully liking it. First must I say I love the Kpop references, and I love how Franklin and Rory stand by Asher. What I didn't like was how much it dwells on Asher's past it seems like it's brought up in every chapter, I understand it haunts him but it's just to much
This was a cute and sexy story. Asher definitely needed help to keep himself on the straight and narrow, and Rory and Franklin were perfect for him. It took me a while to feel invested in their story, but once I did, I really enjoyed it. I haven't read the prior books in this series, but I will definitely seek those out. I really liked this!
I love this series. Man Archer did good. Nothing better than being between two bears. Seriously this book has great characters with a storyline that keeps you turning the page. Getting to see some of the other guys was nice too. It's always good to see how previous characters are doing.
This story was sweet and steamy and really showed the dynamics that go into a MMM romance. Franklin and Rory, who already have a great, committed relationship, take Asher into their lives and bedroom. The ending was really romantic and sweet. I will read more from this author.
Rory and Franklin have been together for 20 years, but one day, a young man saunters into their lives. Asher has not had an easy time, but there is something about Rory and Franklin which makes him wish he could stay and be worthy of them. The tale that developed showed that all 3 were a lovely fit for one another.
