Scarred Cliff #3

Their Downfall

Rate this book
A New Adult Contemporary Reverse Harem Romance Serial

One grim day looming, five lovers fighting to not shatter into a thousand pieces.

The weekend wasn’t easy on Mia or her four guys, Mal, Dylan, Tom and Jake. It started with Jake suddenly showing up at the house, bringing with him some secrets Mia tried to keep from the others, and ended with Tom begging for him to stay a little longer, hoping that his presence will help them not fall apart.

Because dark days are looming. The anniversary of Poppy’s death is on Friday and everyone is on edge, raw with emotions, lost in their own minds, remembering the trauma of losing a beloved sister, friend, wife and lover.

They have to stay together to keep strong, but one impulsive action rips everything apart, throwing them all for a loop. Can they come together in time? Or will this harm their relationships forever?
Can they survive the week?

This is the third novella in the six-part long Scarred Cliff serial, a reverse harem #WhyChoose story. This novella may include any of these elements: steamy scenes, ‘I need tissues NOW’ moments, cries of ‘why, oh, why’ and cliffhangers that make you bite your nails (and curse the author). This story includes MF and MM scenes.
Author note: This series deals with topics which can be hard for some people, like abuse by a partner and the fallout of the suicide of a side character (which happened in the past but plays an important part in this story).

Drama, and more drama. And there will be another book, you were warned. I really am excited about the finish of this story, the characters were amazing.

All those emotions and shortcomings that they all feel. They all try to hold onto the life they know and find that this is no longer enough. But none of them dare to change anything, afraid they will hurt the others. The date on which Poppy died comes closer and with the arrival of Mia, Dylan, Mal and Tom seem to have even more difficulty with this. Can Jake keep everyone together while fighting his own demons?

This is the 3rd part in a series and cannot be read without previous parts. The writer gives an overview of what happened before, but to understand the intensity of all emotions and struggles, you must have read earlier parts. Every time the writer manages to make these emotions feel while you read. I sympathize with all the characters in the stories. I would really like to step into the book and tell everyone what they are worth. not only as an individual but certainly for each other.
Part 4 can't come soon enough for me!

Great next instalment of the series! This book was full of anguish, pain but at the same time love. It left on a great cliffhanger which has me sat on the edge of my seat for the next one as I feel this book is where the story really starts to pick up and the next one will be the Big Bang. Fingers crossed for a HEA for Mia and her guys!

This is the third installment of the series, it’s full of drama and angst and miscommunication and also love. Mia is a sad, confused girl who loves all 4 of the guys in this book. A twist gets thrown in about one of them that I didn’t see coming. Interested in what happens next.

This is a read that tugs on your heart. To heal you sometimes have to open up old wounds, this has definitely done that. This is an emotionally powerful read.

I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased, honest review.

This part really starts the tears flowing, and the heartache. As the anniversary of Poppy's death comes around emotions run high. No one can figure out their feelings, and it is heartwrenching watching them try. Ready for the next installment, ASAP
