Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.

Savannah
I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to.

Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town's golden boy on vacation from college? Yes.

Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly.

Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out.

So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff.

It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.

Beau

I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero.

Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever.

My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend.

The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten.

I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married.
Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.

This should sum up my review: Beau and Savannah....these two have caused me to start drinking. The End. 😂😂 I will try not to spoil this for anyone because I want all of you to experience this like I did.

Beau has loved Savannah since the moment he met her even though they were from different side of the tracks. He has always been there for Savannah no matter what- even though it hurt him. The day that was supposed to be a happy day for him was anything but happy. It was the day that he saw the truth and it changed his life for good.

I'm going to be honest and tell you that I didn't care for Savannah right from the beginning, but the more I read about her and what all went down my opinion of her changed and I wanted to root for her. The hate they had for her was disgusting but the support she had from Beau made it all bearable.

Be ready to sit through and read their story because once you get to the end you will know you survived. Ms. Natasha Madison, I'll be ready for the next one, I hope. Kara~5 Stars

Savannah...... quite the woman!!! Southern Storm takes readers on her journey. We see the insights to the decisions she’s made and it’s affects on her life.

Beau has been her best friend for years. He’s in love with her, she’s in love with him but they depend on each other too much to break that.

I loved this book! And I love Savannah. I loved understanding her brokenness and where I came from and what she was fighting for... always her son! And I love Beau and how he fights for Savannah and Ethan in this book!

Natasha Madison delivers another incredible read that shows how truly people are, how they grow, how people deserve second chances, how the decisions we make in life affect our future and how our future can only be changed by ourselves!
We get to decide if we look at a storm as something that is dark and scary and changes things or if out of the storm comes the good, even when things are broken.

Read this book, give Savannah a chance to show you how beautiful she is!!

Thank you Natasha for giving us all another amazing book!

This series has been nothing short of amazing and Southern Storm (Southern Series #3) has completely and utterly blown me away!!! I knew that Beau and Savannah’s story was going to be heavy, heart wrenching and filled with angst. And not only was it all of those things, but it was brilliant and creatively written. My heart and my mind wasn’t ready for the secrets, the lies and jaw dropping surprises. Hands down, Southern Storm is the BEST book in this series so far and one of my top favorite books of 2020.

If you’ve read Southern Chance and Southern Comfort then you have an idea of the pain and heartache that Savannah has gone through. The poor girl was literally the black sheep of her small town however, things aren’t always what they seem. My heart went out to her. She possessed an incredible amount of strength, courage, there was a lot depth to her and she’s definitely my favorite character in this series. And Beau was a wonderful, passionate and strong alpha and his love for Savannah ran so deep. He’s always been secretly in love with her and when danger arose and threatened Savannah, he proved that he would protect her at all costs. Their undeniable chemistry was perfection and once again Natasha Madison never disappoints when it comes to hot and steamy sex as these two definitely burned up the sheets!!

Get ready for one hell of an emotional and intense ride. Trust me, it’s well worth it.

Southern Storm is book three in Natasha Madison’s Southern Series and I was equal parts looking forward to and dreading this story. I loved Beau since the first book so of course I wanted to read more bout him, but Savannah I wasn’t so sure about. I’m happy to say that even though I still don’t agree with what Savannah did I liked her as a character and I really felt for her.

Beau is Savannah’s very best friend and she’s been in love with him for as long as she can remember. He loves her too, but things are complicated between them. Savannah has been holding on to a big lie- the paternity of her son- since she was pregnant. Now, it’s out and Beau knows the truth. He knows her secret she worked so hard to hide.

I have to say, this secret felt like it was glossed over really quickly. I couldn’t believe how fast Beau just moved on from it. Not that I wanted him to hold a grudge, but if someone was lying to me for that long I think it would have taken me more than a few hours to process it. Still, Beau and Savannah’s story was full of other drama not necessarily related to the secret.

Someone is working really hard to drive Savannah out of town and Beau can’t have that. He’ll do whatever it takes to make her stay. Even if it means marrying her. Both of them are under the assumption that their feelings are unrequited, but what happens when they find out they both feel the same?

I wanted to love this one so much, but unfortunately for me it was just okay. I liked it, but it missed the love mark. I think all the drama was just too much. I wanted more romance and less drama. Still, I’ve liked this series as a whole and I’m so excited to get to Ethan’s book next. I have high hopes for it!

This hero probably deserves someone better. And this woman’s son deserves to know who’s his real father. If the father is an abuser, murderer, rapist or pedophile I’ll probably agreed to keep him in the dark about his child but apparently he’s just an asshole who got engaged to another woman while getting another woman pregnant and who’s also this hero’s brother. Since this is the case then he should know that he has a son. Shame of them for keeping their son from know who his real father is. The way I see it she wanted the hero from book 1 to become this kid dad. Why not make this hero play this role? This hero has been in love with her since forever, he could easily fulfill this role, she could have asked him to be her son’s father instead of destroying a relationship which the hero in book 1 was as much at fault as she is if not more since he was the one in a relationship with his heroine. He could’ve said no. But noooo they needed the drama.

Southern Storm by Natasha Madison is the third book in the Southern series. It gives us Beau and Savannah’s story. Book one ended with Beau discovering the secret Savannah had been keeping for the past eight years. A secret, which almost destroyed her along with Jacob and Kallie’s relationship. (Jacob and Callie were the couple from the first book in the series).

Based on Savannah’s role in destroying Jacob and Kallie’s relationship, I came prepared to dislike her. However, on learning the truth and getting to know her on a deeper level, my feelings towards her changed. I don’t condone what she did, but based on the situation she found herself in which at the time was scary for someone so young I understood the reason for her irrational decision. This story revealed the depth of her strength. She didn’t allow the gossip, name calling and a host of other issues to break her. However, sometimes the situation can become overwhelming and the need to give up intensifies. As attacks against her escalate she felt this need, but she would learn that not everyone hated her as she believed by the support and encouragement provided when her enemies tried to get the better of her. Also, with the help of her best friend Beau she would learn that true love had the power to overcome the pains of her past.

Beau have been in love with Savannah since they were teenagers. However, he thought she never shared the same sentiment. Then the situation involving his best friend Jacob only helped to reinforce this belief. However, when the truth of the situation came to light, he saw an opportunity to protect Savannah and reveal to her that his feelings went beyond friendship.

This story took me on a heart breaking and tear-jerking journey, which was sprinkled with hope, love and forgiveness. The road to true love is never smooth and Southern Storms was the perfect depiction of that statement.

I enjoyed spending time with the characters, however there were some I found despicable. Savannah’s mother was a piece of work and don’t even get me started on Beau’s father.

I adored how the romance developed. Theirs was a love that grew from strength to strength as the years went by. It remained steadfast despite all the storms it faced. However, there were moments when I wanted to knock some sense into them. I can’t believe they could be so clueless.

The revelation at the end forms the basis for the next book in the series and I am eager to see how it will unfold. Readers should read the series in order, for although it features different couples the stories are interconnected.

Conclusion/Recommendation
I found Southern Storm to be a lovely addition to the Southern series and one I would recommend to fans of friends to lovers romance.

A very broken-hearted 2.5 stars

It pains me to write this review, because Natasha Madison is one of my favourite authors, and I wanted to love this book so badly! But sadly this one just didn’t work for me. I have so many thoughts and feelings, so please bear with me as I purge.

This is the third book in the Southern series. I would definitely recommend reading at least the first book in the series (Southern Chance) as it gives you a good introduction to the characters, and to the situation that changed all of their lives.

Here’s the details…

Being completely upfront, this book was always going to be a challenge for me. The events that went down in the first book of this series sparked massive and stupid drama that could have been so easily avoided. I thought Savannah’s actions were selfish and stupid, and to be honest, I hated her from the prologue of book #1. And now, we have her book. It’s hard going into a book when you already hate the heroine, but I love Natasha’s stories, and I was curious to see if Savannah could redeem herself. Plus, Beau seemed like a total sweetheart and the romance is a childhood friends-to-lovers, so I dove in.

Savannah has come a long way from her difficult childhood. She is still looked down upon by a lot of people in town – because of the behaviour of her mother, and the rumours that still persist about Savannah herself (even if they aren’t true). But she has worked hard to create a good life for her and her son, running the town’s successful bar, and she has good friends around her, including her two childhood best friends, Jacob and Beau, who are both big parts of her life.

This book begins where the last book left off, in the gutwrenching moment where Beau finds out Savannah’s big secret. Warning, rant ahead… . But anyway, all is out in the open, and our trio of best friends are doing their best to move on (whether I was ready for them to or not). But we are thrown into new drama as Savannah is being targeted by an unknown danger, and with very real threats against her home, her business, and her pesonally, her best friend, and the man who has loved her since they were teenagers, Beau, steps in to protect her.

Beau has just been appointed Mayor, and is finding his feet in his new role, picking up the reigns from his corrupt father, determined to clean up the office and do the best he can for his town. But his heart is with Savannah, and with the attacks increasing in severity, he feels that the best thing he can do to protect her, is marry her, feeling that his name will offer her some security.

And so, two best friends who are secretly in love with each other, marry, in a practical, but still very emotional arrangement, providing them with the perfect opportunity to act on all of that pent-up lust and love that has been building for so many years.

“Kiss me,” she says, and here in the dark, I kiss her. My heart speeds up, and my palms get clammy, but my lips touch hers, and it’s all over.

Things develop pretty quickly between them from this point, and it’s emotional, sexy, and all kinds of swoony, and I loved seeing them openly and whole-heartedly embrace all of those feelings.

But for some reason, I just wasn’t feeling it. Maybe I was still feeling unresolved anger over the past? Or perhaps because it had taken them so long to get to that point? They’ve been in love with each other since they were teenagers, it’s been at least eight years, all of their friends know they love each other, Beau spends most nights of the week hanging out at Savannah’s house, but neither of them have made a move or even hinted that there are strong feelings between them. I would have preferred at least one of them to make a move by then, to be brave enough to fight for what they want rather than just have bizarre circumstances act as a trigger to force it all out. We even see them get hot and heavy with each other in this book - before they have sex and before feelings are declared, there is lots of making out and passionate moments, but they still don’t believe the other has feelings for them? *another sigh*

The other disconnect for me came from the fact that there’s a lot going on in this book and it felt a bit rushed. Not the pacing of the romance, but the events of the book. There is SO much happening, and it happens in a short amount of time. I felt a bit overwhelmed by it all. It’s like every other chapter ends in a drama and we’re bouncing from one big event to the next

As for Savannah… I don’t hate her as much as I once did. I still completely disagree with how she handled things, but I didn't dwell on it. She and Beau moved on, so did I. But I still had trouble connecting to them as a couple. Beau says and does all the right things, their passion for each other is sizzling, and there is definitely a strong connection between them - I could see they were in love, their romance was swoony and sexy, and all-consuming for them both, but it didn’t hit me in the feels the way I was hoping (and the way that the other two books in this series have). And it bothers me that I can’t articulate why that is.

Ugh, this review is a hot mess. But I guess it’s a reflection of my still-conflicted feelings for this book, even weeks after reading it.

Natasha has written some of my favourite books and I’m usually completely sucked in and madly in love with her characters and their stories. It hurts to say, but with this one, I just wasn’t feeling it. Maybe it was because I was annoyed at Savannah, maybe it was the amount of time it took for her and Beau to finally admit their feelings, or maybe it was just everything that was happening. But I’m gutted.

But the book ends well, with an epilogue which leads us right into Ethan’s book up next. It sounds like it’s going to be another angsty one, and I’m definitely nervous, but I’ll give it a try.

Really sad I didn’t love this one – 2.5 stars. It was ok.

Since I started this series I have hated Savannah. But I have also been dying to get my hands on this book. I was really hoping that there was a good reason for why she was so selfish and how she justified all of the horrible things that happened because of the choices she made. To a point I can justify her making those choices, she was young and scared and was given an easy out by one of her closest friends who she trusted. But when she saw all the fallout that happened to him, all the things he lost she almost just shrugged her shoulders and let it slide off. But I was sure when we got her side of the story there would be some ground shaking reason why.

So reading this book I was so conflicted. Beau was such an amazing character. He loved with his whole heart and he forgave his best friends for their betrayals and secrets and he still loved Savannah. And when all the secrets came out and he was justifiably hurt and upset he was still more concerned about Savannah and her feelings. And when Jacob also completely took her back I wanted to scream at them. Seriously how much damage can one person do to everyone she loves and just not care.

And while I absolutely hated her selfishness and lets be honest she was a complete acehole of a character. I did find myself feeling sorry for her. She had such horrible role models and she was pretty much alone and pregnant and everyone who should have helped and supported her were such deplorable human beings but she perpetuated it. She just threw everyone who loved her out of the boat so she wouldn’t drown and I couldn’t get over that.

But Beau was everything you could want in a husband. However even he was stupid. He loved her so blindly and even when she admitted her feelings he still hid from it and let it all continue as it had with both of them being oblivious to how they felt and that just aggravated me too.

Now this all sounds like one huge big negative rant but here's the thing. I hated Savannah, Beau annoyed me but the story was great. There was so much going on I couldn’t put the book down. And even while I hated Savannah, this was written well enough that I felt sorry for her. And even when I was ranting at my husband about what a bitch I thought she was I still needed to know what was going to happen and how things were going to play out with a few of the plot threads. I really enjoyed reading the book and it added to the series even if she didn’t do anything to redeem herself she was just human. And who am I to judge her choices, when I have never had to make them.

I can’t wait to read Ethan’s story. I honestly kind of feel like it’s going to be a bit of a train wreck with the amount of people who are now not just in on the secret but are so wrapped up in it. And I am dying to read it.

You know the saying " cry a river? " well in this case with this story I cried a damn ocean. I honestly never thought that Savannah could be turned around but Natasha being the queen she is, proved me wrong again. Savannah and Beau have the most heart breaking but all consuming love story there ever could be. Grab the tissues, sit back and enjoy the ride

Okay I’m gonna start this review a little different...

Things to know:
There is no cheating in this book by the main characters.
This one does have a HEA.
It can be read on its on own, but I do suggest you read the first two stories in this series before reading this one.
Yes, you will go into this one hating Savannah. I know I did.
Beau is dreamy.
Ethan is sweet.
.....

This one takes place right after the last book (yes, you can start with this one without the previous stories). Poor Savannah. Yes, I said poor Savannah. This girl keeps getting pooped on over and over again by life. I’m glad we get some insight into her because she was definitely going down as my number one hated main character by Natasha.
So Savannah has been in love with her best friend Beau forever. She seems to be the only one who doesn’t know he is also in love with her.
Some things happen which we will leave you oozing with sadness for Savannah. Thankfully, she has a best friend to help save her.

You know what? I’m gonna stop writing about what will happen. Just know she does redeem herself.
Hope you enjoy this one as much as I did!

Marriage of Convenience | Romantic Suspense

Southern Storm is the third book in the Southern series from Natasha Madison and picks up exactly where it left off in Southern Comfort. If you haven’t read that one yet and plan to read this one, don’t fret. This one CAN stand alone. Characters from previous books do play small parts in this one but not enough to spoil their stories or cause confusion in this one. This book features a new couple.

Southern Storm has an ample amount of suspense and intrigue. I wasn’t expecting it to be so suspenseful, but I liked how there was a bit of mystery thrown into the story. Natasha does a great job at giving her readers a mix of swoony romance and intrigue. She also writes a marriage of convenience into this one so if you’re a fan of the trope you’’ll want to check it out. Now, while I enjoyed this book as a whole, especially after reading the first two books in the series, there were a few things that left me in confusion. The first thing, I felt like we were literally DROPPED right into a story. I was hoping for a prologue to remind me of where this couple “came from” especially since their story STARTED at the conclusion of Southern Comfort, but there wasn’t one. It took me a bit to actually get into the story because my mind kept trying to remember these two. Another thing I felt should have been added to the story a bit more was Savannah’s son Ethen. I understand NOW after I finished the story why he’s with Jacob so much (you’ll understand if you read book 2) but I couldn’t for the life of me remember WHY until I finished. Again, a prologue would have been helpful here. Savannah is after all a single mom and we RARELY see her being a mom throughout the book.

Mayor Beau is a great hero. He’s strong, protective, and has a heart full of gold. One would wonder HOW he got to be such a great man because his father is such a horrible guy, but he’s definitely a precious gem mixed in with all the ugly stones. He’s also an alpha man through and through and watching him protect Savannah was wonderful to watch. If you like strong heroes you’ll want to read all about Beau because he’s delicious!

Finally, this is a story about healing and even though Savannah’s issues got on my nerves, it was nice to watch her come into her own despite all the crap thrown at her. She’s a strong woman and I adore authors who write women to be like this.
If you’re looking for a new book and have read the previous books in the series, you won’t want to miss this installment. While it wasn’t my favorite in the series (only because I had a hard time remembering all the facts), it is a good one and many readers will enjoy it immensely.

Southern Storm was one helluva ride. Oozing with deception, intrigue, suspense, and mystery. I was left sitting on the edge of my seat with anticipation waiting what would come next. Addicted. I was addicted to this story and with Savannah and Beau.

My heart broke for Savannah and how she was treated. She’s not what people make her out to be. She’s so strong and doesn’t go down without a fight—a true fighter. More than anything I just wanted her to be happy and know her worth.

Savannah and Beau have an unbreakable friendship. These two love each other so much, and everyone knows it, but the two of them. They’re both stubborn and refuse to tell the other how they feel with fear that they don’t feel the same. There are many obstacles that stand in their way, but fighting for what you want and what you believe in is worth the battle. Their journey isn’t easy, but it’s one that is undoubtedly worth it.

I loved Savannah and Beau so much. I loved their connection, there’s was no question they were meant for each other. Their love is so beautiful and I couldn’t help but shed happy tears.

Southern Storm was filled with heartbreak, soul crushing moments, angst, and pain. But it was also filled with light, hope, happiness, and love. Savannah and Beau’s love story is beautifully exquisite and it took my breath away.

With this being my first novel by Natasha Madison it’s no surprise that I want to read the previous books in the Southern Series and devour her other previous books. And I can’t wait for Ethan’s book—I desperately need it!

I have been a fan of Natasha Madison since way back when. Her writing is some of the best that I have seen done, and she ALWAYS ALWAYS draws me into her stories after just a few pages. To say I have been anxiously waiting for Savannah's story, is putting it mildly. She has been an integral part of this series since the beginning. The Southern Series is a group of interconnected standalones, so to truly understand Savannah’s story, it is best to start at the beginning of this series with ‘ Southern Chance’.

In my opinion, Southern Storm is one of the best books in this series. This friends to lovers book is not all sunshine and roses, it's more of a, weathering the storm until it passes kind of book. There is so much that goes on in Savannah and Beau's book, and as previously stated, this author did an amazing job of pulling me in and making sure my focus remained solely on the story and nothing else. The development, and the depth that Madison took Savannah and Beau through was plotted thoroughly. The dialogue from the main characters and secondary characters was spot on. The transition from pure friendship to more made my insides melt. Madison did a great job of expressing the emotions that came with that transition as well. The plot within this book was not just a one and done, thank you ma'am. It was an ongoing thing, that set this book with suspense since the beginning which I was a fan of.

In the beginning of this series I was not of fan of Savannah. Throughout the entirety of Southern Storm my respect grew tenfold for Savannah. Believe it or not, I actually grew fond of her. Madison made sure I understood her in more than one way, and I couldn't be more thankful. My heart has always felt something for Beau. My heart hurt for him throughout this series, and I was so glad he finally got the ending he deserved.

Now that circumstances have changed for Savannah and Beau, are the strong enough weather the storm together?

*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK

Southern Storm is the 3rd book in the Southern series and even though these books follow different couples I highly suggest reading them in order as the stories all interconnect in a way that may confuse you if you have not read the previous books.

What a crazy ride this book was. This story was drama packed to the point that it was maybe a little bit too much, especially towards the end when all the revelations come out and it went to a whole new level and felt like I was watching a soap opera/telenovela which for me personally it was a bit over board but if you love crazy small town drama with some added suspense then you will surely love this book.

Savannah where do I even begin with her, if you have read the previous books then you would know that she is an unlikable character and the main reason of all the drama that played out in book 1. I personally didn't love her character in the previous books but I also didn't hate her. She is selfish but also somehow selfless. Strong yet broken. Smart but naive. Sassy and feisty yet deflated. She is caring and loyal & will do anything to protect her son even if it is at the expansive of her own happiness and others.

Beau has just found out that the girl he has been in love with since he was a kid, has lied to the whole town about the father of her son. Her son who is in fact fathered by Beau's older brother Liam. Understandably hurt and angry Beau lashes out until he realises he needs to be directing his anger a little closer to home instead of the woman he still loves. Beau is protective, kind, sweet, charming, funny, stubborn and a bit of an alpha male but also brave, selfless and compassionate.

I loved everything about Beau and though I wasn't sold on him and Savannah to begin with I did end up enjoying their relationship. At first it was hard to connect with as both were harbouring strong feelings towards each other but to afraid to speak them so it was a lot of telling and not much showing which makes it harder to truly feel their passion and emotions behind the love. A few flashback scenes of their ever evolving friendship could've definitely helped ans I wish the author woukd have included some. The story was still addictive with all the crazy storylines woven in and there were many times my heart truly broke for Savannah as I don't feel she deserved a lot of the hate thrown her way. Though I still don't love her I have grown to appreciate her. I did however love her son Ethan and glad we got more of him in this story and can't wait for his book next.

I couldn't wait to get Savannah and Beau's story and Natasha Madison didn't let me down. It was perfect!

Savannah has been the girl we hate. She's from the wrong side of town and has made some poor life choices, mostly out of desperation. I had a feeling that I would love her though, once I got her full story, and I do.

She's had Beau beside her since childhood. He's always been her defender and oh boy has she needed it! And she's always loved him. My heart broke for her at times. She was treated so poorly, especiallyby Beau's family. Beau, he's loved her forever, stood by her, defended her and protected her.

True love always prevails and a house can become a home. They faced many storms and stayed standing. My heart is happy!

Well it’s safe to say we all had a hate on for Savannah before she got her own book. Beau was so completely in love with her and her him it was beautiful. Her background story is heartbreaking and you were rooting for her but I still have that small amount of dislike for her causing the rift between Jacob and Kallie. But that aside, great plot, lots of suspicion and twists trying to root out the villain was very enjoyable. As always the introduction onto the next book leaves your heart beating faster for the next instalment.

Okay, this one had all the hallmarks of the nicely angsty small town romance what with tropes like h from the wrong side of the tracks, single mommy h being town shamed for years, unavowed love between best friends, evil family etc.... but it ended feeling like a big missed opportunity for me.

The writing was decent but lacked finesse to really enliven the characters and the big drama happening around them. For me, the characters were nice and sympathetic, but they came across quite a bit as cardboard cutout characters with little real depth. And the way they never could sit down and really communicate important things drove me crazy. The overall plot was in theory very much appealing but its execution revealed lots of small plotholes that put together yanked me so often out of the story to question silly things. Which is not a good sign.

This was my first NM and after seeing her enticing titles around for years, I feel let down by this one. The ideas behind the story were very good but the end product unfortunately did not make the mark for me. I might try another one, but not in the foreseeable future.

Beau, Savannah and Jacob were best friends growing up and completely inseparable. Beau has been in love with Savannah as long as he could remember. He would do anything for her. In their last year of high school she discovers she is pregnant and Beau is blind sided to be told that Jacob is the father.

Savannah’s pregnancy has a huge impact on their friendship and with other people in their lives. Despite all of this, they do remain friends and Jacob is an amazing father to Ethan when he comes along. But that’s all Jacob is to Savannah, there is no romantic interest there between them at all.

Becoming a single mother as a teen in a small town is hot fodder for the gossip mongers and Savannah carries the weight of disapproval around with her every day. Her mother was a single mum too so people had low expectations for Savannah. However, she is determined to show people that she is nothing like her mum.

Savannah is a proud, successful business owner of the local bar. She has put a lot of work and effort into making her place one that the locals enjoy hanging out in. Everytime Beau comes in her heart skips a beat and his unconditional love for her means everything. When someone seems hell bent on spooking her, Beau decides to do the only thing he thinks will protect her, giving her his last name and becoming her husband.

Savannah knows that Beau is only doing this to protect her but this is also a dream come true for her to marry the man she is in love with. Beau cannot believe that the girl he has loved all his life is now his wife. Now, who is going to fess about what they are truly feeling?

The build up for this story began with the first story in this series and I couldn’t wait to see it all played out. Just when I thought this series was over the extended epilogue proved me wrong, there is more to come from this family!

Listen (seriously), grab some Kleenex, vodka, and a couple of Xanax before you start to read this book. The Kleenex is none negotiable, the rest you can pick your poison, no worries. But DO IT!

If you’ve read this series from the beginning, then you already know Savannah. Maybe. You may think you know her but I think you might be wrong. #betme

Holy BALLS this story was incredible! It was heartbreaking at many times but always hopeful. The storyline unfolded with purpose and the growth of character was impressive. The ugly side of humanity was at the forefront of this small town and this story but Natasha Madison squashed it like a bug triumphantly! My heart soared while reading this book. I felt this incredible pull towards these fictional characters because they were real and living relatable circumstance.

I do not recommend any of you start this series anywhere but at the beginning. The books all live in the same world therefor are interconnected in a way that doesn’t really allow for a reader to jump in at any point. That’s just my opinion. Do with it what you will :)

Happy reading!

4.5 Stars!

In the very first book you might be like me and get a bad taste about Savannah but I just knew there was going to be something more to her that would explain her behavior. Everyone makes mistakes when they are young but not everyone seems to carry them throughout their life. Unfortunately I think her mother’s terrible contribution to her bad reputation and her mother’s harsh words towards her kept her self-esteem at an all-time low. I swear I wanted to throat punch her mother more than once, she’s a horrible woman!

Beau is wonderful and now he is the town’s mayor. His father retiring gave him the opportunity to run and win taking over the position. He knows his father had some shady dealings but as time goes on he is finding out just how bad it is. I will say as awful as Savannah’s mother is, Beau’s father is equally as bad if not worse.

There is so much more to Savannah and if you are like me you will really grow to like her a bunch in this book. This story could have been predictable but NM made sure this story had more depth and some twists that I think anyone would be shocked reading it.

I seriously hated Savannah in the first two books of this series and thought going into this book that there was NO WAY I would end up feeling like she would be redeemed. I was WRONG. This book made me cry multiple times but oh the emotional journey of this book is so darn worth it. I absolutely LOVED Savannah and Beau's story and am so happy for the twisty upside ride that Natasha Madison expertly weaved for us. Well done!!!!!!!

Let’s face it, I’m no fan of Savannah. I hate what she did to Jacob and Kallie, and I will never ever get over it. But I was dying to read her redemption story and I really loved her relationship with Beau. I do have to point out that these books have some continuity issues and that there’s some inconsistencies between this story and Jacob’s. I get Natasha needed the drama to set up the first book, but it’s just inconsistent that Beau was supposedly always there raising Ethan (which is never mentioned in Southern Chance) but that Savannah said she wanted to give her kid a family yet still chose the Jacob lie and to co-parent with him. I just feel even though all these books feel like one continuous story, there isn’t enough back story from 1) when they were kids 2)the 8 years Kallie left to establish a difference between Beau vs Jacob and why Savannah dragged Jacob into this mess instead of the guy she says was always the closest to her. Her interactions with Jacob are always so awkward and not really warm. Regardless, I’m invested in all of these characters and even though this book was a little bit of a let down I’m happy Savannah got her man but even happier that she finally apologized to Kallie and Kallie showed her how she has always been the better person.

Unbelievable story

I still don’t like Savanah. She is portrayed as a victim when she is anything but. It is ridiculous that she asked Jacob to lie and even more ridiculous that he agreed to it. Not to mention that Kallie is so forgiving and selfless. Just no! Savanah is the one who got pregnant. It’s all on her. Even worse is that she used her pregnancy to get money for her bar.

Hold onto your hats because Southern Storm is rollercoaster ride that will keep you guessing until the very last pages. Natasha Madison weaves a small town romance that is heartfelt, angsty, and oh so addicting.

Beau and Savannah are best friends but what she doesn’t know is that Beau has always had feelings for her. And she has those same feelings towards Beau. I enjoyed the emotion, the angst, the friendship and I even ended up liking Savannah. This best friends to lovers story is full of drama, witty moments, and romance. I thought I knew exactly how the story was going to go and once again, the author shocked me! I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book!

~ 5 Still Standing Stars ~

What an amazing story. Southern Storm is my favorite of this series.

I loved this storyline....the romance, suspense and all the emotions that went into this story was fantastic. Natasha Madison totally knocked this one out of the park. Every time I read a new book by her, I fall more in love with her writing and characters. She is an automatic read for me. Her stories are everything I look for in a 5 star read.

I had been looking forward to Beau and Savannah’s story since book 1. And I wasn’t disappointed at all....this story totally lived up to my expectations. I was completely sucked into this storyline. I couldn’t help but root for Beau and Savannah to get their HEA.

Southern Storm is the third book in this series. It is a stand-alone novel but I would highly recommend reading these books in order. The stories all kind of connect to each other and I think if read out of order then there will be spoilers. This book is told in Dual POV. This book has a completed ending that I was completely happy with, but I also love how she sets up the story for the next and I believe final book in this series. I can’t wait to read that book!!!

If you are a fan of a friends to lovers story then this is one you MUST READ!!! This book definitely will be going on my Best of 2020 list!! Make sure you 1-click this book/series….you won’t be sorry!!!

Once again, I am lost in this Southern dynasty that Natasha has created. This girl from Canada has invaded the South and fell right into the line of southern charm and chaos.

Each book in this series has brought a different element. They have all been so interconnected but such standalones. Each story has left me on the edge of my seat waiting to see where we go from here.

Secrets can only last for so long. Eventually, the truth will make it’s way to the forefront and when it does be ready for the fireworks that come with it. And just let me tell you BOOM is silent compared to the explosion this story brings.

We’ve seen what lies and secrets and scandal can do to a small town. We’ve read how people can make assumptions and judge on what they think they know. The whispers, the eye rolls, the attitudes, the disrespect. But remember, things are not always what they seem and your idea of the truth is just that, your idea.

Savannah has been through hell, but she always comes back strong. Beau has always secretly carried a torch for her and been her knight in shining armor. The battle royale that takes place for these two to find their way home is nothing short of mind-boggling, intense and fascinating.

I love what Natasha has brought to this series and I am so honored to have been along for the ride. To say she has impressed me would be an understatement. To tell you how much in love with this series I am is impossible. To scream to the world to read it! YES!!

Knowing Jacob was with Kallie, why didn’t Savannah go to Beau? I mean she has loved him for ever but she didn't ask him to claim the baby?

Jacob defends her to everyone. Savannah calls Jacob when first every time. Jacob holds all her secrets….again, it seems that Jacob is not only the baby daddy wannabe but the man she wants and Kallie should be less of a door mat and more concerned. Beau should be concerned Savannah wants more than a baby daddy with Jacob. I am sure someone will remind me Jacob is her best friend and protective…not gonna buy it. Sorry not sorry, I don’t like Savannah. Most of the drama she brought on herself…SHE made decisions that would destroy and hurt other people SHE did, calling her a victim is wrong.

Why visit the mother you already wrote off? Why spend time with that toxic person? What about the crimes that the father did, not just all the cheating but the money. Did he go to jail?
