A surprise party at a church To celebrate her aunt Fiona’s success as a fashion designer Streamers, banners, and food All destroyed on the night before the party Who did it and why?
When the party Holly has carefully planned is maliciously destroyed hours before it’s to take place, her friends and family frantically work to salvage it.
But who would want to ruin a party? Doesn’t everyone love a party? Was it someone who had a grudge against Fiona? Or maybe against Holly?
Holly and Wade are afraid if they don’t find the person responsible, they’ll do something even more damaging during the party, like harming someone at the party.
This is the sixth book in the popular Holly Lewis Mystery Series by two-time USA Today Bestselling Author, Dianne Harman.
Holly was so proud of her Aunt Fiona that she decided to throw her a party! She did most of it herself with a bit of advice from Briget and Linc. She used her own money!! Thank heavens she listened to Linc and called to make sure that the food would be there when they needed it and that the cake would be too----Someone had cancelled both the orders pretending to be her. Luckily they were able to redo everything in time!! Holly even reserved the rec room in the Church.
The day before the party Holly, her boyfriend and another friend decorated the hall. The next day she had to work at Fiona's bookstore and keep her there until the correct time. It was Brigit that went there and found that all the party decorations had been destroyed. While Briget fixed the place back up Holly and her boyfriend went in search for the person who would do such a horrible thing. They had to go see several suspects-----
Did they find the person responsible--did the party happen? Read the book to find out!!
I had the pleasure of reading this delightful story by the talented Dianne Harman, an author I admire, at a time when a sweet diversion from daily life was needed for this reader.
Here’s the skinny: Hosting a party is a huge responsibility and Holly’s determined to create the best for her Aunt Fiona, even using her own money.
Having read the Nancy Drew Mysteries as a young child, I found this story so fun – Holly is a bit more savvy with her instincts, though, and the prose exhibits a more modern version of Nancy – original and endearing with a hint of an interesting future between Holly and Wade.
A fun to read who-dunnit, if you appreciate trying to solve mystery tales via the likes of a USA Today Bestselling author like Dianne Harman, you’ll love this one, too. Why anyone would go to such lengths to destroy what was so lovingly created will make you want to cheer for this smart young lady and her super-solving skills.
Five golden stars awarded for a wonderfully written tale of modern day sleuths on the verge of adulthood. Since this story is part of a series, may I suggest you begin with Book One entitled Holly and the Framed Friend? A Heartfelt Bravo to you, Ms. Harman. Extending your readership is brilliant!

Another adventure with Holly ,aunt Bridget n husband an her boyfriend as they try to find who is out to ruin the party that Holly has arranged for her Aunt Fiona. They Destroyed the decorations and the food. Who would do such a thing?!!
A modern-day Nancy Drew, who was my heroine growing up. This is the first Holly Lewis Mystery I have had the pleasure to read and I look forward to reading both earlier and future stories. Great series, 's. Harman.
You never know when something you do or say will hurt someone. Hope you have Holly around to straighten things out. Each suspect had a reason and I didn’t guess who until the end. This was a very interesting story and I highly recommend the book.
Holly is planning a surprise party for her Aunt Fiona and someone is out to prevent it from happening. Who would be behind the destruction of Holly's hard work and why?
Enjoyed book though I'm a bit old but it took me back to my days of reading Nancy Drew & The Hardy Boys. Great for the younger readers who like mysteries but don't need to be reading about murder.
I really enjoy this series where Holly is the one who solves the Cozy Mystery. I was reading the Cottonwood Series and this new series popped up on my kindle as a recommendation that I might enjoy. It was correct. Thank you, Robert Ericksen
The characters are outstandingly written, this story seemed to flow easily, with no spots that seemed to drag. Way better the the first three. Great Reading Everyone!
