I really enjoyed the characters and storyline of this book and the whole series. I am happy that there was some closure for Landon. It seemed that he was stuck living with his demons and was not moving on. He needed someone that would help him move past his loss. Vivi was a wonderful character that had so much guilt for things that were out of her control. Their attraction is what draws them to each other, but it is their shared pain that leads them to love. It was great to see Landon, Tanner and Jason continue to get the happy endings that they deserve after having their lives changed forever.

I have been anticipating Landon's book while knowing it would be an emotional read because of his brother and Carly did not disappoint with his story! This was my favorite book of the series with the chemistry between the characters, gripping storyline and a breathtakingly beautiful love story that unfolds. If you're looking for a story that will pull at your heartstrings this is one you need to read!

Landon and Vivi are, I think, my favorite couple of the series. I could probably make a good argument that this is the most emotional of the series. In a good way.
I think because him finding his happiness means more (a bit) than it does for the others. Getting into exactly why is a spoiler, but it's really what drew me to the story and to the characters.
As always, I liked the characters. They felt real and I understood the reasons they had for the things that they did. And feeling a connection to the characters as people gives a great foundation for feeling a connection to the characters as you follow along with the romance.
I enjoyed and recommend this title.

Better than Sexy is my first book read by Carly Phillips. Better than Sexy is the story, Vivi and Landon and is the third book on the series Sexy by Carly Phillips, but you can read this book as standalone.
Vivi is a musician and she dreams to have own world tour and to be a musician to her job permanently. She wants to leave behind her past because she is more than her brother's actions. When Landon offered her, the chance to sing at his popular club, she knew that is her opportunity to realize her dreams. But, when she realized that her brother killed Landon's twin she wanted to refuse his offer but Landon convinced her to help him to get people to his club again.
When Landon sees Vivi singing for the first time he was instantly attracted to her and wanted to her to sing in his club. When they meet for the first time, they were really attracted to each other.
Listen to me, Vivienne Zane. You are my happiness. And we're stronger together. So from now on, we're a team.
But, both of them had to ask themselves if their feelings are more powerful than their past. They have to fight for their relationship and to convince the people around them, that they love each other and that only together they can be happy.
Don't you see? She's not her brother. I want you to get to know her and judge her for who she is. Not who she's related to.
I liked that Vivi and Landon fight for their relationship. I loved that Landon doesn't judge for her brother's actions. Landon, he sees her for she is and loves her. Better than Sexy was a sweet love story.

I’ve enjoyed reading Carly Phillip’s work for many years now but she has leveled-up the last couple of years. She has always been spot-on with delivery and unfolding of storylines. As of late, I have felt like her stories have more passion and emotion that ever before. Even her short stories or quickies have been next level in this department. This story and the series have been next level passionate and emotional for me. Add in the unexpected turn of events in the plot and I was glued to my kindle for hours without stopping.
One thing I want to also mention about this book/series is that you should really start at the beginning to better understand the storyline outside of Landon and Vivi. The journey of Landon and Vivi can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone, but you’d be missing out on a really great storyline outside of them …. I’ll leave it at that LOL DO with that info as you will :)

Better than Sexy is the third book in Carly Phillips Sexy series and I have to be honest, it was the one I was most looking forward to. I couldn’t wait to see Landon get his HEA, plus I was totally intrigued with the heroine in this story ;)
As I have said many times before, Carly Phillips is one of my favorite authors. I love the worlds and characters she creates. She gives us stories that totally captivate the readers and characters you can’t help but fall in love with.
Better than Sexy is a standalone novel and told in Dual POV from the third person. This series has interconnected characters and the secondary storyline is connected, so for those reasons I would recommend reading this series in order. I felt the flow and pace of this story worked well. I love how Carly gets to the heart of the story right from the beginning. She doesn’t drag anything out, but nothing feels to rushed either. I loved how this book concluded all of the storylines that we have followed through this series. This had the perfect ending!!!
In this story we follow the journey of Landon and Vivi. Landon is the last of the club owners to get his story told. He is the twin brother of Levi. Vivi is an up and coming musician whose dream is to make it big some day. So when Landon has the idea to offer a summer residency at the club and is shown Vivi’s videos, he is instantly captivated. Determined to get Vivi in the club and his life, he won’t take NO for an answer. The only problem is Vivi is hiding a secret and once it comes out things might not go so great for the couple. Can Landon over look Vivi’s secret?? Can they get their HEA?? Read this book to find out.
As with the other books, I really enjoyed seeing the other couples in this book. I felt like this book really wrapped up their stories as well. I also liked getting to know Amber a little more and can’t wait for her novella to come out!!
I would recommend this book/series to all romance readers out there. If you haven’t read a Carly Phillips book, you are really missing out. You need to experience her writing!!!

Landon has been missing something necessary in his life since his twin was killed years ago. But when he meets Vivi as he's offering her a summer residency at his club, the pieces suddenly click and that void left by his twin just may be filled. Now if only the truth of her identity were not something he (and his family) cannot get past.
OMG I felt for this lovely couple. They both deserved happiness so much, and for it to hinge on something that neither could control, neither could do anything about was agonizing, for them and for this reader. I love both the couples that precede Landon and Vivi in The Sexy series, but Landon and Vivi are by far my favorite. They're so perfect for each other and the fact that they could lose each other all because of a quirk of fate...damn, it really tugged on my heart.
I've loved Carly's writing for years, ever since her infamous Dare series, and with this series, she's further cemented herself in my exclusive shelf of favorite authors. She keeps bringing the emotions, the fierce alphas and the strong, badass heroines who bring those alpha to their knees, and I keep falling more in love with her writing. I cannot wait for what she brings us next!

Better Than Sexy is one of those stories that just has it all. A complicated love story, amazing chemistry and also a story of friendship makes this book highly entertaining! Landon and Vivi’s story is loving and emotional with a few twists and turns that will keep you wanting more! Their ending is exactly what we needed and I highly suggest reading this entire series!

The feels in this story...it was breaking my heart to be how much they were struggling to over come the pain that was their past. I teared up a few times because I couldn't stand the way they knew what that had was special but we're willing to let each other go.
But in true Carly Phillips fashion she made me a believer that even when life seems impossible to untangle, love always finds a way to make HEA happen. In case it's not clear - I absolutely LOVED it.

5 Star Review of Better Than Sexy (The Sexy Series #3) by Carly Phillips
The third book in the series and this was just as entertaining as the first two books. I love Carly Phillips style of writing, there is something about her stories, that draws me in and keeps me invested from the first to the last chapter.
I have anxiously been waiting for Landon Bennett’s story and it was well worth the wait, even if it is complicated love story. I knew that the woman who would bring him to his knees would need to be special and Vivienne Clark most certainly is.
Landon is part owner of nightclub ClubTen29 along with his best friends Jason and Tanner. I fell hard and fast for Landon, he is totally swoon worthy and ticked the boxes for me.
When Landon offers Vivi the opportunity to perform at their club, he has no idea what he has set in motion. Landon is attracted to Vivi immediately, but when she realizes that they are connected in a way that may well destroy their blossoming relationship before it really gets a chance, she doesn’t know what to do.
The chemistry between Landon and Vivi is scorching and you could almost feel the flames burning as you read. Better Than Sexy is a highly entertaining story and one that got to me on numerous levels.
I loved the camaraderie and friendship with the other club owners, it adds an extra layer to the story that Ms. Phillips wove. It was also satisfying to have everything tied up in this book and I was happy that all the threads were woven together.
This is a passionate and emotional story with twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Can Landon and Vivi confront the past, make peace with it and forge a new path together? Or will it all come crashing down around them? A beautifully written love story to end the series.

This is the third book in the series and while it can be read as a standalone, you'll understand the mens' relationship better if you've read the previous books.
Landon and his buddies are wanting to revamp their club a little. With the previous season behind them, now they need a wow factor to get people back in to their place. Landon is instantly drawn to the new act that they want to land. But he also has to contend with his dead brothers' memory and his parents, his friends and the killer themselves. Landon has a lot going on in this book.
Vivienne and her mom are very close. Vivienne's dream is to make it big, tour the world and write music. She is thrilled when her agent calls her with a job opportunity. Riding on cloud nine, she goes to hear about the potential position. But, when her past comes calling too, she has to turn the offer down. And, while it breaks her heart to do that, she can't see past the issue.
Landon isn't one to be deterred, but Vivienne knows that she should stay away. These two have to figure out whether or not their attraction is worth the risk. Nobody else has to understand their relationship, but they do need to figure it out.
This story will make you laugh, cry, want to yell and scream. It reminds you what love is truly about and how sometimes, you get to chose your family.

The three of them run a bar named in honour of Landon's twin brother Levi, who died in a hazing event at college. They have never forgotten him, and recently the perpetrator caused them even more trouble at their bar.
In order to get the bar back on the right track, Landon proposes a singer in residence for the summer. They have an apartment which they can offer above the bar, now they just need to find the right person. Jason shows the others a video of a singer called Vivi Z and Landon is hooked!
There is however, the complication which causes all three men, Vivi herself, and Landon's family some deep soul searching and makes us all consider what we would do in that situation. I felt that Carly Phillips dealt with the issues in a careful and thoughtful way, which gave each person a chance to deal with their unexpected connection.
Vivi and Landon were such a good match and clearly meant to be together, that there could only be one outcome, but the journey was not smooth. Thank fully we are left with the future looking bright. It was fun to catch up with the previous couples too and see what a close knit family they had built for themselves, and yet welcomed Vivi to join them too.

I have been waiting for Landon's book since we first met him in book one. While this is a part of a series it can be read as a standalone, however I think it will be much more enjoyable if read after the other two since there is interconnecting characters and you really get a feel for what these guys have been through and what the pain of losing Landon's twin has done to them. Vivi is connected to Landon but neither of them know that when he hires her to perform at their club. She quickly discovers that connection but decides to keep quiet knowing it could destroy her personal relationship with Landon as well as professionally, but it is the personal relationship that she is building with Landon that keeps her from telling him who she is. When it comes out, my heart breaks for both Vivi and Landon. Not gonna lie here, I didn't think Landon was going to be my favorite hero in this series but he surprised me by being exactly that. I loved him and I really loved his relationship with Vivi and how he handled everything. I love this author. She is a must buy for me always. And I am never disappointed. Highly recommend this series!

Better than Sexy is the third book in the Sexy series by Carly Phillips, but it's not the last book. There is a 1001 dark nights novella coming, but the main story is finished with this book. Our characters finally got the closure they wanted and I couldn't be happier for them.
As the blurb reveals, Vivi is the sister of the man who killed Levi, Landon's brother. Just from that little piece of information, you know that the book won't be as light-hearted as the others. Landon and Vivi's journey was not an easy one, but in the end, it was worth it. The characters are better developed than any others in the series and a major part of the story dealt with Vivi's secret and how everyone reacted to it without taking from the main plot which is the romance.
The main characters from the previous books also appear and it was great! There wasn't a thing I did not like in the book, even if I wished that it was a little longer. I would recommend the book and the series.

This is such a fantastic book, I devoured it in a day. I was hooked from page one. I loved the instant heat between Landon and Vivi. Their first kiss was just so hot! But she has a secret and can’t really be involved with him. I had some tears on the piano scene, and loved how he goes after her. Can their relationship last? Will his parents understand? It’s a very heartwarming story, even though I felt heartbroken for them and did cry a couple of times. I absolutely loved their happy ever after. This story was easy to follow even if you missed the first two. I loved all three stories, and that they are worth re-reading. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

These two find each other and there is the immediate I want you and you want me.
But . . . and there is always a but!
Carly did a great job of insta-chemistry with these characters. Of giving them each their hurdles, but showing the reader they are better together than apart. She also does a fantastic job of displaying the emotional state of each character. I love that she keeps her supporting cast as fresh as she does the hero and heroine of each book she pens. She is always a winner!

This book is so good and emotional. My heart was touched so much through this book. Hopefully you have been reading this series and know that Landon, Jason and Tanner own a club in Manhattan. I loved how Jason and Tanner found their true love in the last two books. Now it is Landon’s turn, but it is such a rocky path. Landon doesn’t think he will ever find someone who will make his heart full again after his twin’s death until he meets Vivi. I couldn’t imagine how Vivi felt when she had to hide a big secret from Landon. She hated doing it, but getting the summer internship at the Manhattan club is once in a lifetime chance. Landon and Vivi have such a strong attraction I could feel it on the pages as I read! Once Landon finds out her secret, everything starts going bad. I couldn’t imagine what Landon felt. There were so many times in this book I had tears in my eyes. This is a must read. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.

This one is the third book in the Sexy Series and I'm super excited because I knew this one will be more complicated.
The tragic past, the frustration, the hesitation, yup it is a complex story and totally enjoyed it cover to cover.
Kinda predictable though and I kinda loss the sparks between Landon and Vivi, they bring the steaminess alright but it just felt something is missing, still root for this couple though, but my fav couple is still Tanner and Scarlett in this series.
If you're looking for sweet steamy romance read, this book is definitely it.

Landon's story was an emotional to say the least. Landon and Evie had chemistry right from the start, but little did they know the connection between them. Their story was gripping, heartbreaking and I found emotional For both Landon and Evie to get over the one person that could make or break their relationship if they allowed it in fact destroyed all three friend's lives. Finally in the end when things became clearer for everyone involved I believe things turned out the way they should have. I did love this series!
