Best Military SF Writter
I am a voracious military science-fiction reader having read over 100 military SF books. This is the first review I’ve ever written but I need to express my appreciation for Mr Forbes books. I think he is one of the best 3 or 4 writers of this kind of story. I have found this genre of stories hard to keep fresh. The plots are often similar. Mr Forbes manages not to do this with his unique story lines. Moreover, he manages to keep your interest over several books in a series. You don’t get bored after two or 3 books. Finally the writing is excellent with fresh and unique characters.
This book and series meets all these criteria.

He Did It!
Sci/fi has an inherent problem: Each tale must in some way raise the bar on previous adventures while at the same time creating exciting, imaginative, and interesting science. Forbes did it! I admit to not following one aspect of his imagination so I sent him an email asking about it. Imagine my surprise when he promptly answered my question and explained his intent, vastly adding to my enjoyment of the adventure. His imagination seemingly knows no bounds! Another aspect of this story involves five (or four) brains digitized into a single person? Wow! It's great fun and I applaud Mr. Forbes.

Breathtaking, non-stop action finale to the Odin Longknife series. So many twists and turns, betrayals, unexpected alliances and well...sacrifices.
Another fabulous series by MR Forbes I thoroughly recommend to anyone who loves fast-action space opera with characters you can seriously relate to, cheer for and mourn.

A solid, finale brings the plot to a satisfying conclusion. Forbes isn't really a master at the craft and makes silly mistakes (seriously, does it really give them more time to be inside a bubble where time moves at 1/5th the speed of outside the bubble...?), and some of his resolutions to 'insurmountable' problems are just a little too contrived (or silly). Ultimately though, there's some strong characters and plenty of redemption going round for everybody.

Odin is the driving's force
Forbes continues to entertain with his well written space operas. This series is well done with Odin Longknife as the central figure with many others that are well done. The storyline is fully intense with more then enough action to keep you turning pages

A thoroughly enjoyable series! I've read a lot of SyFy over the decades and this Stars End series is right up there among the most enjoyable I have been immersed in. You don't just read it, you live it! Great stuff, buy it, read it and you will agree with me!👏

Exciting space story
The Star Fall 4 book series is exciting and gripping. A world destroying enemy vs Odin a legendary but real Alliance fighter. Unexpected ending was interesting. Not a five star because of the frequent use of ‘me’ that sometimes was awkward. Still an exciting read.

Great ending to the seroies
This book 4 is awesome. It wraps up the series nicely show leaving room for a sequel. Do not read the last page to see if you'll like it unless you are in to spoilers. Great till the end.

Great story
Full of action and surprises... Ending with a combined force that should bring peace and stability to the known universe but still with an incredible enemy at large... Looking forward to a new sequel as soon as possible!!!

This is for all the four books in the series and the extended ending that the author provides via email. Great story telling - lots twists to the plot and lots of action. Different kinds of aliens and a different spin on the universe. Great imagination - I highly recommend this series :-)

I guess this series just wasn't for me. It felt like listening to an action movie. The scene copied from Matrix was disappointing, as if the author couldn't come up with something original.

This is one of those series that gets better with each book. When I read the first book I wasn't overly impressed, but I liked it enough to continue....by the second book, I loved it.
