Imagine her surprise though when King Brant sets his sights on her. Once a vampire king has decided, there’s no going back. But her home is in Sweetwater. Being forced to live amongst the vampire species…big gulp…forced to mate with a vampire…is not what she had in mind for herself. Maybe she can convince him to let her go, to pick again. If not, she’ll have to find a way to escape his - very muscled and rather delicious - clutches.
Book 2: Stolen by the Alpha Wolf
The arrogant vampire kings have always proclaimed themselves to be the rulers of all the non-humans making war between the species inevitable. In order to win, it is imperative that the shifters steal the chosen human female. The alpha wolf will take her for himself thus weakening the position of the bastard kings. No heirs means no future for the vampires.
Something Ward didn't bank on was that the yellow bellied elves would turn tail forcing the wolves to flee or face defeat.
In desperation, one of Ward's pack members grabs a female vampire taking her with him to the wolves’ hideout. The alpha is forced to take responsibility of the female until the dust settles...there are things that she may not find out about the shifters...things that would put them at further disadvantage against the vampires. In a few short days he’ll take her back to Sweetwater himself. It soon becomes clear that being in such close proximity to this refined, delicately beautiful creature is pure torture. A few days suddenly feels like a lifetime. How he longs to be able to get under her skin and make her lose a little bit of that ironclad control she’s so desperate to hold onto. It doesn’t help that some of the shifters want her dead whilst others wouldn’t mind taking her for themselves. Shifter females are in short supply.

After one glorious night, the wolf shifter, Rushe considers the human doctor to be his. His. Damn. It. Unfortunately, he must bide his time before being permitted to pursue Becky.
The vampire, on the other hand, wastes no time in going after what he wants, namely, one times lush human. The scent of another male on her skin only incites Ross further to eradicate the shifter from her mind, by whatever means necessary. Take what is mine…
Becky knows that Rushe has his heart set on finding a mate. Since she made it crystal clear that it won’t be her, she’s sure he’s moved on.

The Chosen Series box set 1 -3.
I am ADDICTED to this series; I can get enough of this paranormal romantic goodness. With alpha males in all shapes and sizes with Ménage à trois, MFM love triangles (eat your heart out), Vampires, Shifters, and Elves. It is Sexy, it is Sizzling, it is smoking Hot, it is Erotic so much so that it jumps right off the pages and leaves you needing a cold shower.
Sassy, headstrong females, and fighting to the death is not uncommon. So, what happens when smoking hot vampires and shifters, mortal enemies want the same thing; this is where things get so interesting, and the fun begins. These men are ruthless, they are vicious, power players, they are violent. There is lots of action, danger and war around every corner but given all that they love fast, they love with their whole heart and make you want to go and find your own.
Charlene has woven a captivating, tangled web of lies, deceit, suspense, drama and love that will leave you breathless. The characters are to die for, and each have their own voice in this series. I love that we get their POV because it makes them more real.
It is not all doom and gloom though there are plenty of witty moments and humour that will have you laughing out loud especially Zane and Becky, they crack me up.
Don’t even stop to think just click and read and tell me I am not wrong. Happy reading!

Totally enjoyed this! First off you have two vampire Kong’s who need to claim human women to breed with. But they both claim the same one and she is feisty. She needs to be strong to claim both males as her mates. Second book there is a kidnapping gone wrong and a vampire female gets taken by the wolves. The alpha claims her. And that’s an interesting story. Thirdly Becky the beat friend of the vampire queen is being courted by two males. One is a vampire and one is a wolf. Can they all get along? I love these books!!!

I enjoyed this series...but
I really dont like how the trio ended. They dont seem like they can sustain this relationship long term based on how angry and jealous of the arrangement he is. For it to work everyone has to be on the same page and he is not so it was just a weird dynamic for me and i couldnt be all in on their relationship

Hot guys loving human women - woohoo !
The series is so good that this is the second time I've read it. Not only is this set really good but all the books following in the series and the spin-offs of it. Great reading for the late night insomniacs.

Great stories but poorly edited
I started by reading Hartnady's later works, which are more professionally edited. Her character development, cultural depictions, sensuality, and humor in these earlier stories are all excellent, but the editing is simply awful.

I loved the books, just wish Brant showed a little more heart for the Stephanie and what she chose. And also how he treated Ross. I can't wait to read book 4 with Xaiver and the Princess.

Even though they are sworn enemies reigning over different covens circumstances bring them together to court the same female. A rather unconventional choice is made which will ensure both covens prosper. Along with vampires and humans this box set also introduces and follows the lives of shifters and elves. Their stories continue in books in this series not included in the box set.
Charlene Hartnady has captured a place in my heart for her characters and their stories. She is also responsible for peaking my interest in shifter romances which up until reading this selection had not interested me. I am still not sure I will totally delve into Elven romance, but I am willing to find out by continuing to read books by Charlene Hartnady.
