Love on the Lam
There is probably an APB out for Bella Berns and wanted posters of her tatoo covered self all over town. Crime? She helped Rhett Smith escape the duplicitous web woven by her older, beautiful, blonde cheating future trophy wife, sister Sarah. Of course, the wanted poster declares “kidnapped,” but the truth is that while Bella did provide the idea of escape, the getaway vehicle —a neon colored rental—and the route, she did not kidnap the groom. Encourage flight—yes. Actually kidnap—no. But there is evidence of the crime. In the bowels of the dank, dark church basement into which the stunned Rhett had stumbled in defeated retreat are the shed jacket of the $2000.00 tuxedo, the kicked off, too tight shoes, the pitched expensive cufflinks and the remnants of his stomach, emptied after overhearing the bride’s sickening, soul shattering, and revealing comments of comparison and betrayal as his bride-to-be compared his private and personal dimensions with those of her lover, Bob. So, the only alternative left to salvage his future is to escape with the diminutive brunette, the beautifully tattooed youngest Berns sister, Bella.
Lindsey Hart’s newest offering, My Ex’s Little Sister, another tale of Alphalicious Billionaires, is a delightfully entertaining addition to the collection. Hart offers her readers the machinations of another delicious billionaire in need of a wife—the proper wife for him. Hart allows her reader to observe the dance of love as the sweet, bruised and overlooked dark sheep of the Berns family provides the love, devotion and care needed to heal the heart and free the soul of tech billionaire, Rhett Smith. And, in turn, see how the love of the billionaire heals the youngest daughter of the Berns, whose inability to meet the expectations of her family has left her insecure and doubtful of her fitness to be loved.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review ARCS, but I enjoyed the reading experience so much that I bought a copy for my "read-again" titles.
