Since the beginning of time, four billion life forms have been created.Ninety-nine percent are now extinct. The human species is the youngest of them all.A mere blink in the eye of time -Time, which is running out."I couldn't put it down. An absolutely phenomenal book!" International bestselling author Bobby Akart delivers up-all-night survival thrillers in The Geostorm Series, the story of a planet-changing phenomenon, a natural disaster brought about by the Earth itself."Akart excels at keeping us reeling ... in the ever-evolving apocalyptic world." Imagine a world where storms inundate coastal megacities. Entire species become extinct in an instant. And conflicts are fought over dwindling natural resources, food, and even shelter. The rapid pole shift resulting in the sudden reversal of the planet's magnetic field changed the face of the planet, forever. Rain fell for months. Ice melted. Waters rose. Land masses disappeared.Humanity had to go somewhere. Throughout the history of mankind, humans persevered because these cataclysmic events came about slowly allowing them time to analyze and adapt. This time, it was different. The end of the world came and we no longer asked, who to die by fire and who to die by sword? We all died by water. As the dramatic changes in the Earth's climate came about, superstorms, flooding, and weeks on end without sunlight became the norm. Until ..."This is my favorite series from this author and you really don't want to miss it." Earth's geologic revolution continued. Scientists had fought for centuries to study and explain the changes to our planet. Using advanced methodology, they routinely predicted our future. All of that research was for naught as the rapid pole shift generated The Tempest, a storm of biblical proportions."OMG Akart did it again!"

Great series

Bobby Akart brings to life the Boone family in this series. Book 5 is about their attempt to find a new home in the Boone family's old stomping grounds. Very well thought out plot and a joy to follow.

Excellent

One of the best apocalyptic fiction series I've read yet, and this part of the series was the best. Can't wait to read the final one.

Love of family is a strong emotion and one that that the Boone family feels deeply. Along with love of family, God and country, this family has strong ties to each other and will do everything in their power to help each other survive. The journey they face after leaving the home that has been in their family for generations, is one of dangerous travel, perilous encounters and facing Mother Nature at her worst! Yes, Mother Nature is one pissed off lady and is taking no prisoners and will throw everything she has at anyone who tries to escape her wrath. Can the Boone family stand up to her and win? Can their will to survive be strong enough to give them the courage to withstand the hell on Earth they must go through to hopefully reach safety? I could answer that but...I won’t! No, I will let you find out for yourself as you lose yourself in this exceptional story that Bobby Akart has painstakingly written. A story so realistic that you will not only feel the rain hitting your skin and hear the thunderous roar of the thunder but you will experience the emotions that each character feels along the way. Do not miss this series. It is one of the best, well written story lines that I have come across in a very long time.

LooThe gray dismal rain soaked the landscape and swelled the waterways producing mud and floods.

With their tools and supplies loaded in covered wagons and trailers, the descendants of the Chapman and Boone families known for bringing civilization to the wilderness of the Indiana and Kentucky Territories began their long trek to greener pastures. As ready as they could be, prepared for obstacles from Mother Nature and human nature, without their father and patriarch, they set out.
The weakened magnetosphere allowed solar particles and radiation to pass through, producing the steady rain day and night, the clouds obscuring the sun. Powerful electromagnetic inference cooked unprotected electronics. Radios, computers, electronic ignition on modern engines, electronics just wouldn't work. Tommy's Mustang ran just fine on it's points and plugs and was running point ( pun intended) for the caravan.

The brilliantly detailed characters and the all too possible disaster following a superb storyline create a masterful vision of one family's fight for survival. Awesome. Amazing! A must read.

The book begins with a history of what happened and the fact that the East Coast has been evacuated due to rising sea levels. There is also a danger of increased radiation hitting the Earth's surface due to the weakened electromagnetic field.

The rest of the book deals with their decision to move to the Appalachian mountains, what is going on at the farm that leads them to that decision, how they plan to get there, what they do to prepare for their journey and the various problems which they encounter as they travel towards their destination. Some of the problems are directly related to the weather, some of them to the darker side of human behavior. We also get one scene which shows just how terribly things are changing and the cost in human lives due to that.

The series is extremely good. The strengths lie in the author's ability to make all the characters seem real and the author's descriptions of the science behind what is happening.

Geostorm: The Tempest

This series is very informative, aside from being a thrilling narrative. It caused me to have an major discussion with my grandchildren, since they are so literally brain washed about “ humanity causing global destruction in the preceding 2 centuries ! The author emphasizes that our planet is billions of years old, has had multiple ice ages, tropical ages, with rises & falls in water level, tectonic shifts volcanic activity , etc, Regardless, decent men, women & families, however few survive...... will thru love, hard work,& rational thinking bond & rejuvenate humanity, knowing that we can not contro all forces in our own planet, or from the surrounding solar system & galaxies.

OUTSTANDING!!!

I hardly ever give anything a five star review. It seems that should be reserved for very special things. While this book may not quite rank with motherhood or the American flag, it comes close enough, IMHO, o grant such an honor.

Since reading my first novel by Bobby Akart, I have become an avid reader and fan. The Tempest is the best of his work I have read, so far. I could go on and on about all that make this tale stand out, but it simply must be read to be appreciated. If you are a fan of apocalyptic fare, you'll not be disappointed. More likely, you'll join me as another devoted to Mr. Apart is fantastic storytelling...

Whew!

This book was action packed. A extremely fast read. I feel like I need to take a nap as I feel worn out experiencing a nightmare in their life. . The Boone Family just can't get a break. This is one natural disaster (weather) that I would never want to experience on a day to day basis. This is rain and flooding of biblical proportions. Looking forward to reading the end of this series to see just how one copes not knowing what to wear. As always Bobby Akart knows how to spin a tale that keeps you hooked. Enjoy the series.

Great story telling(or the true explanation of climate change ;-) )

I’ve enjoyed ALL of Bobby’s books! This is my second serious. The characters are great, the adventures are lively and exciting! This series is more in line with “climate change” than the so called “Global Warming” groups would have you believe! Thank you for the great books, and NON-FICTIONAL aspects Bobby! Looking forward to the rest of the series and then on to the next. Very well written! Highly recommended reading!

This is a very strong book in this excellent series. As the Boone family traveled to safety in the Appalachians, a reverse of the journey of their ancestors, I could not help but reflect that they faced similar difficult odds and trials as did those that traveled west generations earlier. All members of the group have weaknesses but each has a strength which contributes to the groups survival. I look forward to the next in the series.

Tempest

Wow, I have been enjoying this story of the Boone family so much! With the family heading for a new place to call home, they can not go back the way that they came so onward is the only way. I can wait for the next book to see where they find their new home. I really love Wonky Donkey, and I can't help but wonder if he was named after a child's book of the same name. It is a wonderful book!

Every adventure requires a first step

Every adventure requires a first step... Like any good adventure, it’s only worthwhile if you come back smarter and stronger. Quotes from Geostorm The Tempest, and so true in our tale. Relationships were rebuilt and strengthened on the long long trail tracing Squire and Daniel Boones trail west, only, like the poles, in reverse , as the modern day Boones headed east, through wind, rain, hurricanes and earhquakes... excellent!

Returning to Their Ancestral Home

With their home in a sink hole and the river at the bottom of the driveway, the Boone family decides leaving is their only hope for survival. They make the reverse journey that their ancestors had traveled. With many detours and unexpected problems they steadily make their way to Cumberland Gap. Then it appears God has different plans for them.

Book 5 was hard to put down.

The Boone family comes to the realization that can't stay on the farm. The apocalyptic storms with the rains continually coming down doesn't bode well for them to stay. So with horses, wagons and a car they set off to go back to Kentucky. So much that could go wrong does but eventually they get there but at a great cost. Book 6 continues the series

Wow...

Don't know if my heart could stand anymore. Man, I was breathing hard at the end of this one. The Boone family and future ones have lost the family patriarch, their home and land. Now they have to fight the rain storms and other weather surprises to try to get away from the fast rising waters, landslides and upheavals. So many hurdles and near misses, will they ALL make it to somewhere safe? On to the next one to find out.

Best Akart book, thus far!

This series has had one event after another, with lives changed and lost, weather extremes, and the Earth itself altered.
This book's plot has been captivating, devastating, and terrifying. It is truly the best I've read of Akart's work thus far.
I can't imagine where this story goes from here but, fortunately, Akart did. I'm leaving this short review before I dive into Book 6.
Don't miss the Tempest!

Geostorm is an excellent apocalyptic series with an awesome crew of characters that beg for my attention. I care for their plights and mourn their losses. It's packed with action and a roller-coaster of chaotic events. I can hardly wait for the next and also last :-( book to be released for consumption at the end of March!

Akart has done it again. We have an emotionally charged, character driven, edge of your seat thrill ride. The Boones and the rest of the group have sadly had to leave their home and are heading to the mountains. Their journey is a horrifying one as the weather keeps throwing one hurtle after another at them. I am really looking forward to last book in this awesome series.

The Journey Continues

Bobby Akart has continued the story of the Boone Family fighting to survive. Be sure to clear your schedule, once you start, you will find it impossible to put down. Every emotion known will be felt, often in the same chapter, keeping you off balance. Every word written by Bobby Akart is a ride into another world.

Fast and very interesting survivalist reading based on a theory about climate intermixed with planet pole changes and solar storms. This family's story is thought provoking at the same time as it is full of apocalyptic drama. This is an excellent and fast read as are all in this series. You need to start from Book 1.

Action packed

This part of the story had a lot of moving pieces with natural disasters , conflicts with bad people and unexpected problems that plagued the Boone family. Reminded me that sometimes the plan can change but perseverance will keep you from losing hope of achieving your goals .

I was holding my breath though this one, not sure the family was going to survive. This series has really gotten to me and I can't stop reading now. Each book seems to be better than the last as the author gives the characters more depth and the plot become more chilling, the stuff that nightmares are made of.

Learning while enjoying reading the story

I love your books! I'm learning some history, some geology, and all with an exciting story. The maps and pictures are also making the story more understandable. The only thing I hate is having to wait months for the next segment!

What a ride

This series just keeps getting better with every book. The Boone family is more prepared than most, and certainly has a unique group of skill sets. However, nothing can compete with an unruly and unsettled Mother Earth.
